Thank you so much! I’m definitely considering it! It was fun to make and people seem happy that I made it 😊. I’ll probably end up doing more like this!
Thanks for the suggestions! A tutorial for custom armor will definitely be worth looking into. I might make a tutorial for that when 1.21.2 drops as features introduced in snapshots are still subject to change. As for the custom paintings (and custom goat horns, too), I believe those are still considered experimental, and therefore also subject to change. I won’t be doing tutorials on those until they’re no longer experimental
My mind just blew like multiple times! This is so well explained, for someone with zero idea of how data packs work I am surprised how doable that is! I´d love to see a video of you showing the step by step process of making a portal gun!! 😁💙
A portal gun you say 🤔. I’ll bet I can make that work… Honestly, as I typed this out I sort of figured out the core mechanics for it in my head 😂😅. I have a pretty good idea of how to make this happen now 😊
Well made! As a video request, I would like to see a more in depth example of the .mcfunction files. I want the knowledge to make a recipe that uses a water bottle and cobblestone to give sand, and when it is crafted, it gives the glass bottle back, if such is even possible.
I believe so. I have a tutorial on creating custom crafting recipes in my tutorials playlist (link in the description). While that tutorial doesn’t cover your request specifically, it may be a good starting point.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you like it! I’m not too active on Discord myself so I can’t really recommend anything 😅. I know there are discord servers for datapack creators out there, you just may have to search for them a little. Good luck on your datapack making journey!
That’s a really good question! Predicates are usually the way to go when testing for these kinds of events. You can set up a predicate checking the time. Misode (link in description) has a predicate generator. Note that by default it tests for entity properties, you want to set that to time check
That’s unfortunate. Do you have the extensions installed? Does your file have the right extension? If so, you can always try to type over from the video
Very informative! I hope you keep this as a series to learn more about the technical thing we could do in Minecraft with data packs :D

This video is so underrated! Epic tutorial, I really enjoyed it :)
Thanks! I really appreciate hearing that! Glad you enjoyed!
i would like to see a tutorial on the new stuff Mojang added recently for example Custom Armor or custom Paintings

@@100percentmeep Haha, awesome! Happy to assist 😄!
Could you make a series about datapacks? Kinda like what you would see with a programming language
Hey there! Making more tutorials like this one, and expanding on this one, is definitely on my radar!
This is a great resource. Thanks!
You’re very welcome!
Thank you for this video! 🏆
Thank you for watching!
Well made!

Very helpful thanks
Glad I could help!
I love the video, this will help a lot but I still have a lot to learn.
Is there a discord that's available to join and learn more?

Question, how would I go about adding server events via datapack? Ex: At the start of each minecraft day it triggers in chat what day it is.
That’s a really good question! Predicates are usually the way to go when testing for these kinds of events. You can set up a predicate checking the time. Misode (link in description) has a predicate generator.

Not sure about linking the wiki, because following that step by step isn't working at all :|
what is popping up for you isnt for me when i click the {} then press enter it dosent show the options

what pack format would be for 1.21.3
57. The datapack page on the Minecraft wiki has a list with all the pack formats for all the versions
