Good question Yan, yep you can adjust to compensate for the bounty reward or likelihood of being called really wide behind. This is discussed in PokerNerve's Bounty Hunter Course pokernerve.com/bounty-hunter-course/
@@sergiozack974 Good question again Yan. Well, the 8Ts jam is a simple example of what power numbers are for those that have never used them. But yes, PKO jams require more raw equity (Ax, Kx, high card value etc). Suited connectors are used less since fold equity is reduced (in situations where we have convering stacks behind and hence players are more incentivized to try to bust us). This is covered in-depth in the course but is beyond the scope of this quick tip video.
These have been around for a long time. They first appeared in the book Kill Phil written by Lee Nelson. They were created from Nash ranges but tweaked.
"POWER NUMBERS: A push-or-fold guide when first in the pot" Then give an example when someone already went all-in AND do not count the total pot to calculate the PN? I appreciate tho, I already have experience with software push ranges calculation and the jenifear spreadsheet, but I was not aware of PN.
Hi Marlon I'm a bit confused with your comment. The initial 8Ts example, as the first-player-in, calculates the total pot, players behind, then checks the PN chart to see if we have a profitable all-in. Demonstrating exactly what you said was missing? Perhaps you started the video from a time stamp?
I've used power numbers ever since seeing them in "Kill Everyone" 15 years ago. It is surprising to me how few players have embraced them. I listen to top well respected players commentating on live stream trns. and so many of them are basically guessing both with shove and calling ranges. Strange that with the advancement of Poker in the GTO era that M and power numbers are so infrequently referenced. That being said, I wish you'd stop talking about the topic ... I'd hate for my opponents to see the light 😁
Now I know why you use PN in your nickname in pokerstars.ES! Power numbers! Joking... How long have you been using them? Certainly they are profitable in the long run with all that math envolved right?...

I can work out the first example fine, but the 6Ko hand, I cannot get 7.5 M with the stack 1000454 / pot 23718 x 1 or 2 player left ?
Shouldn’t we adjust those PN numbers push ranges to PKO format ? Like we will be called wider so we should push tighter.

PokerNerve So this T8s may not by a push in PKO? Even tho his PN said it should?
