I have my own experience, in delhi one of my cousin got kicked to death after we asked for hostel address but they told us to say three religious word first, but our accent was weird for them, and they started pinching the two girls with us and slapped us for accent and made us kneel down. They thought us to be Chinese, when my cousin pushed him back forpinching girls, the two guys and the shp keeper called their people and kicked him to death and slapped us all 17 of them, And that will be the face of North Indians till i die, because even after decade i always feel like it happened yesterday. When i we went to dropped my younger for diploma in Chennai, it literally felt like heaven and i really felt myself as an Indian there. People are so good their. You can ask any Arunachalee 90℅ of them who went out state have always faced racism and ragging from North Indians but you will never find any negative comments for South Indians.

The problem with the current situation, the Southern states are being penalised for controlling their population, giving incentives to the industries, creating jobs and improving education by reducing their tax share and planning to reduce their MP seats. If this policy never has introduced then there would have been many other well planned city in north region, they were sitting on gold like coal and iron but after equivalent policy evey thingh has changed. I agree with you to a large extent. One main reason for poor quality network of trains is that nearly 60% of Karnataka has mountain and hilly landscapes. From the time of Britishers itself, they had to struggle a lot to lay the rail tracks. Until 1990s a large portion of Karnataka had got only Meter-Guages instead of Broad guages like elsewhere. Geography of Karnataka is blessed with a totally different gift though. Places like Coorg, Dharmasthalam and Thala Cauveri are God gifted.

As a South India I would say it is necessary to support the poor people in the North. However, there are poor people and poor districts in the south s well. So there should be a balance - At least 60 (or a decent number) percent of whatever any state must go back to that state. Defence and common services need 10 percent. That leaves 30 percent to be given free to the needy states. Current formula really hurts. Most hurt is Maharashtra which gets only 17 percent back.

I agree with you to a large extent. One main reason for poor quality network of trains is that nearly 60% of Karnataka has mountain and hilly landscapes. From the time of Britishers itself, they had to struggle a lot to lay the rail tracks. Until 1990s a large portion of Karnataka had got only Meter-Guages instead of Broad guages like elsewhere. Geography of Karnataka is blessed with a totally different gift though. Places like Coorg, Dharmasthalam and Thala Cauveri are God gifted.

I am from Bihar. Majority of people's here vote in name of caste. State Education system is worst in here. Our education system only give us degree but not proper skill to fullfill jod vacancies.😭 Some area main roads 🛣️ are like hell worst. Resently there is a bridge 🌉 in sultanganj, bhagalpur which was collapsed twice due to poor materials and poor educated engineer which was engage in this build.

I can agree to your first point that south focussed on education. Before people bringing literacy rates into discussion, let me tell you the definition of literacy in India is a joke and I don’t want to rely on that. But I remember when government school teachers literally searched for students who missed their classes in our village.
As far as religion is concerned, South has even a bigger problem, CASTE.
Extreme overpopulation and lack of quality-education are 2 main reasons for poverty, lack of progress in Bihar, UP, MP... It got ineffective, incompetent leaders, yet not many care, discuss about it.
MP's population density is even less than any of ur south states. U know nothing about MP it protect the forest ,cleanest cities and the Narmada river is also cleanest.

As a South India I would say it is necessary to support the poor people in the North. However, there are poor people and poor districts in the south s well.
So there should be a balance - At least 60 (or a decent number) percent of whatever any state must go back to that state. Defence and common services need 10 percent. That leaves 30 percent to be given free to the needy states. Current formula really hurts. Most hurt is Maharashtra which gets only 17 percent back.
