- I found a great use for upcycling Baby food jars. They are perfect in size to make this Medieval'ish fairy village. I will show you how I sculpt, paint and decorate these houses. I left openings for fairy or tea lights. This is a fairly easy tutorial that requires Polymer clay or Cosclay, some tools, glass jars, acrylic paint and any items you want to decorate your houses with.

Memorizing work! Thanks for sharing!
These are the most beautiful and mesmerizing fairy tale houses I found on you tube!! This is so gorgeous and my style. The colors are spot in. Not that bright navy blue and lemon yellow I see everywhere, but muted tints. I love it! To me the coloring is the most fun part and I can't wait to try these magical cute tiny houses. Thank you so much!
How come there are just 50 likes? Woot?? Lady, you deserve way more. I'll try to promote you elsewhere. People who are into this, need to see this. Again thank you!

Thank you. ❤️
Is that clay durable ? What kind of clay is that ?
omg these are so cute
Thank you ♥️
👏👏👏
Oh these are incredible! Are those dental tools you are sculpting with? I have been using Cosclay and Sculpy and love both of them. Do you use any adhesive with the Cosclay when putting trim onto the structure?
Oh that is too funny cause my husband always calls them my dental tools. They are sold as sculpting tools, I got them in a variety pack. But I’m sure my dentist has some too 😂. When in doubt use adhesive. I plan on covering them with resin which will hold everything in place. I usually just use adhesive for small pieces or if I bake something and attach new clay to baked clay.
These are great! What are the metal tools you are using to make textures and stuff called?
Just random clay sculpting tools. They were mostly bought in sets, I don’t know individual names of tools. Most of these were bought on amazon.
@@awaitesart thanks
Are you able to bake the clay with the glass jars inside? They won’t break? Thanks!!
I haven’t had any break but I never exceed 275F. I always pre- heat before placing it in the oven and then let them cool before I handle them.
@@awaitesartThank you! Do you paint before or after baking, please?
@SparkiMcSparks I always paint after I bake.
Love these! What did you use at the end to make the moss effect? Looked like glue and some sort of herb?
Thank you, I use blended turf by woodland scenics.
These are gorgeous! I love your colors as well. Im going to try these because I also have a bunch of babyfood jars. So, I didn't catch it in the beginning when it showed the clay, Is it soft or firm? How long do you bake? The baking won't hurt the cardboard? Sorry for so many questions. Thanks!
I was using the Cosclay medium firm. I have no problem with my cardboard at 275. Thank you🥰
Qual massa é essa que vc usa ?
So beautiful with the cardboard house is it okay to bake cardboard?
I do as long as it’s covered by the clay. I bake at 270F
These are amazing! When do you bake them?
🥰 Before I paint them
How do you bake your objects/ cardboard ?
I cover the cardboard with clay and don’t exceed the bake temp for clay. I’ve never had a problem putting glass jars and cardboard covered with clay in the oven, but always stay nearby just in case.
How did you add lights the houses if there are jars
Fairy lights
would you need to glaze something like this?
You can but don’t have to. If you’re using acrylic paints they don’t require a seal but are also not water proof. So only if you want a little extra protection.
@@awaitesart okay thank you so much!
Wait the one you did in cardboard did you put in the oven?
Yes. It’s ok at 275 if it’s covered with clay.
