Rosewood VS Mahogany Is There a Difference? Larrivee OMV-03 UNBOXING

We are unboxing two amazing acoustic guitars from the fine folks over at Larrivee Guitars!
After unboxing we decided to test and see how much of a difference does wood actually have on an acoustic instrument. These guitars are the exact same except for the fact that they have different woods for the back & sides. One of the is an OMV-03 with Mahogany back and sides. The other is also an OMV-03 but with Rosewood back and sides.

Excellent job !! Most of the comparisons I watch lose me after a little while, but I stayed with ya for the whole clip. And....I believe you are absolutely correct. I own the mahogany OMV, love it, but i am now maybe interested in the rosewood. I'm in Fenton so maybe see ya sometime. Really good Job !

the notes on the rosewood are more separated and it has more low end and high end tones , the mahogany is warmer and would make a great guitar to sing over.

Thanks for the video man! The Rosewood has enough low end but it's clearer, all notes are crystal clear because of the harder characteristics of the Rosewood. Mahogany is lighter and softer so all the notes blend in more, rounder notes. Sometimes I prefer Mahogany, other times I really enjoy the Rosewood, so to have both is a best choice
