I'm a Nikki Veteran here and let me tell you that Paper have always delt with real world life issues in the Nikki franchise. Miraland in the previous Two Nikki Games have been Brutal and Very Violent. Some of the themes and topics involved in the games are World Wars, Domestic Terrorism, Political Coups, Main Character Deaths, Assassination, Child Labour, Copyright Infringement, Bullying, ACAB, Slavery and Imprisonment, Illegal Experimentation, Child Murders, Demonic Pacts and Soul Selling, Colonialism, Imperialism, Genocide, Ethnic Cleansing, Curses, Class Division, Racism, Religious Fascim, Fermi's Paradox, Extential Nihilism, Asimov's law of Robotics, Effectiveness of Longterm Propaganda, Psychological Trauma.
Woah. I said what I said cause I heard it from a friend but this seems even more interesting now. I can kind of tell that the world of infinity Nikki isn’t all sunshine and rainbows cause the pieceys seem kind of racist towards the faewish sprites later on in the story. I like how it’s not really pulling punches. Thank you for the insight on the other games in the series as well.
For me it's also a genshin killer, since this game came out I haven't opened genshin again. I felt peace again in my exploration and not feel like a slave to something that didn't even entertain me anymore. BTW your twitch link? I'm trying to follow you to see more Nikki but no channel comes up.
