This is complete rubbish - You have a fear of being awake - Bin all the sleep hygiene - This ritualises sleep and signals to your brain there is a threat (being awake) that you must be alert to. Let it all go. Do literally nothing. I imaging being awake as a kitten that I pick up and cuddle. When I can't sleep, I thank my wakefulness for keeping me safe but remind it that it is not required as there is no threat. I allow it to be there and am not frightened of it. This took me 8 years and many many sleepless nights - running to 8 days in one case, to realise. The problem is not "I can't fall asleep" but "I'm afraid I'll be awake". Peace.
