      What people forget about “the bar being raised” is that the elite clubs have a better hand to play than ever before. Aside from the fact their revenues and spending power is higher than it’s ever been, both absolutely and relatively to everyone else in England and Europe, they also have better sports science, nutrition, data analytics, scouting etc than ever before.

      Such an easy cop out. All social media fans are muggy it’s not exclusive to arsenal fans. You hate us cos we’ve won league titles at all our rivals home grounds and you’re no doubt one of them lol. We have rivals in the north (united/liverpool) + all of London so no one will do us any favours. Teams defo accept defeat against city before the game (don’t blame them though😂)

    • @Contextualiser16-tn8nd
      @Contextualiser16-tn8nd 14 дней назад +4

      @joejackson98- Arsenal fans are very influenced by the social media bunch though, just like United's. It's no coincidence that these 2 clubs have had the biggest drop in standards in the PL. United's over a longer period, but Arsenal's has been almost identical since sacking Emery.
      Arsenal winning the League this season would be awful for the environment and for football. Why? Because it'd give credence to this bs myth that you can give a rookie/loser unlimited time and money in the hope they'll "get it right". Manchester City, should they win it this year, will have done so predominantly due to the winning mentality that Mancini instilled and Pep has ingrained.
      They don't care about the noise- Arsenal and Liverpool have always been media darlings, yet both play victim despite this fact- they will do what they have to.
      You talk about money spent yet nobody has spent more than Arteta since he got appointed in world football. People talk about how much of an amazing job he's done yet he's won nothing with his own team and the squad he inherited was nowhere near as bad as made out by the media & his cheerleaders. Unai Emery never got the chance to build his own team and has had more success at Villarreal than Arteta has at Arsenal.
      Arteta sold Martinez & Leno for a combined cost of what he bought Ramsdale for. He wasted big money on Fabio Vieira, Kai Havertz, Raya, Zinchenko, Gabriel Jesus and others. He's had some successful signings, but let's not act as if he's doing a Wenger in 1998 or Jose Mourinho at Chelsea the first time around.
      Young squad you say? Jose won it with a younger one in 2004-05. Can't beat Pep you say? Conte won the PL before him having spent much less.
      Arteta is a younger version of Pochettino, nothing more, nothing less.

    Lot of good points made, lots of needless yelling and talking over, but one key importantance was said. "Five football obsessives sitting at this table and NONE of us care about City or the league".
    It's okay for teams to have dynastys or dominate periods; United, Liverpool ,The Patriots, Yankees, Bulls, Canadiens in the NHL-- these things exist in sports. The main takeaway is NO ONE ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT CITY. Their fans are fake, their books are fake and they have been charged for breaking the rules MORE THAN ANYONE IN HISTORY.
    So I concur with most of what has been said. We're all going to be here next season saying the EXACT SAME THING. Until the FA or the League actually make an example out of City the Premier League is going to fade into obscurity...the reputation is already gone.

      City doesn't sell in the media is what these content creators never tell you. All of them were hyping Arsenal and Liverpool to win the league midway in the season for clicks, same as previous seasons. Literally no one rates City players ahead of any top 6 team in combined 11s but apparently City have the best players. Gather major content creators of Liverpool & Arsenal along with media pundits to do a combined 11 of of the top 6. Only Kdb and Haaland gets in the minority, yet they are meant to be have the best players because no one can compete..lol

    People are missing the point, Pep is the probably the greatest manager of all time, and this city team is one of the best of all time if not the best, but it IS because they were allowed to bend the rules to get here, which is why Liverpool should of won more titles and now Arsenal should. Because these other teams have had to play by the rules, where as city have flagrantly violated it by faking sponsorship and revenues then continued to do so after that 115 times.
    Had they had to play by the same rules as other teams then there’s no way they would be on the verge of a 4peat and 7 titles overall.
