    The music is so... Different in this game, and I love it! Most nostalgic game for me. I played this when it came out until the final boss. I tend to love the subjects in high school as well, but flunked out since I didn't do the tests. I have to get those final bosses on the games I've been playing! Finished the game recently in 2012.

    I searched for a Legend of Dragoon play-through so I could get the inner details of the game as a proxy crossover with the Yugioh TCG for a standalone proxy.
    In other words, I'm creating my own custom Yugioh cards using this game's events, characters and inner-workings intended to be used in a standalone format.
    I loved this game when I was younger, and it's stuck with me for a long time. I'm happy to relive it again through a fresh, new user experience. I'm looking forward to your play-through!

    I have such a soft spot for Legend of Dragoon. It’s not one I recommend to a casual jRPG fan, because it shows its age in tons and tons of ways, but damn there’s so much charming nonsense going on in it, and that part of the game only grows as you get deeper in.
    Dart and Lavitz is one of the first times I remember friends telling me “I think they should kiss” and going “actually yeah I can see it”. That energy gets way more obvious later but the way they become instant friends is still great.

    This game is really great and memorable, I do indeed love our Fantasy Power Rangers game and all that...
    ...But man did this game age *weird*, and the dialogue will reflect that weirdness. As I always say, this game from mechanics to script to visuals and audio, it has aged like both milk and wine at the same time.
    There really is no other RPG like it. It really is a bizarre, unique experience that I believe any RPG fan should experience at least once.
    Edit: Also the cursors matter, dunno if chat mentions it at some point. You see, while running around you have a blue/yellow/red cursor to let you know when a random battle is coming. When fighting enemies, they have a blue/yellow/red cursor to signify how much health they have left.

    Upvote this to let Bunny know important infos.
    I'm a bit ahead with your stream. I'm at the part of Dragon Nest. I wanted to say a couple of things.
    Yes, Shana doesn't have additions and is weak initially (that's made on purpose by developers, to represent how weak she is compared to more combat veteran guys like Dart Lavitz and Rose, and later as the story goes on and she gains combat experience she catches up with them).
    Because in reality Shana is the second most OP character in the game lol :) though i get that she isn't as fun as others because of no additions. That being said, later on she gets something and with that she can then unlock a certain ultimate spell, which is super OP. I'm not saying you HAVE to use her, just saying that she is super strong if you know what to do with her. If later you're interested in exploring Shana's strengths, just let me know and i'll tell you in more detail what she is good for and what to do with her basically.
    The second thing i wanted to say, that obviously you couldn't know/guess, is that after every step in the story, if you return back to previous locations, you'll witness new dialogues (with A LOT of extra Lore stuff to discover, if you're into Lore stuff that is) AND, the most important part, hidden dialogue scenes (not cutscenes like Shana destroying the Snake, but scripted scenes of dialogues).
    What i mean with "every step in the story" is basically this: after talking to King Albert, before going to Hoax, you could have returned to Seles, where an interesting scene would occur (remember, Shana didn't return to Seles after the escape from Prison). After the event at Hoax you could talk to people in Hoax and they would react to what happened, you could also talk with people in Bale and they would say something new. By the way, if you want to see this scene in Seles, i think you are still "in time" to do it. As long as you don't finish disc 1 i think you can see the first scene with Shana in Seles.
    Got it? ☺After every step, you can get a lot of new info lore wise. This game is so deep with the lore, the lively world and all these things. Also when you finish the first disc, i really advice you to return to the region of the first disc (where you're now) and revisit all the cities. Every single person will say something new, there will be a new scene in Seles involving Shana again (this is the second scene in Seles involving Shana) and a certain character in the last city of disc 1 will change his role in the city.
    Really, there are so many of these small details, like the world keeps going even after your main events and even after you've left. And it's fun to know what happens to each city and to the NPCs.
    Hopefully you read this before your next stream. 😊 Have fun and enjoy this wonderful game. I've beaten this game 11 times and it's my favorite ever, that's why i'm so passionate about it. 🤗

    • @bunnytails
      @bunnytails  8 месяцев назад +3

      Thank you for the info. I may go back from time to time for dialogue but I don't like to backtrack too much. Also, I stopped reading the part where you were talking about Shana and her abilities in the future because I consider that a spoiler so hopefully we can refrain from talking about the future of the game. I would rather miss out on things than have my first playthrough spoiled or too heavily guided.
      That being said, I can't wait to play more of this game! :)

    • @melbu6311
      @melbu6311 8 месяцев назад

      @@bunnytails I was vague with Shana, because you didn't reach that part yet, but once you reach it i can comment here and tell you. It won't be spoiler-y i promise :)
      Also, yeah i get you. It's fair to not like backtracking. I usually don't like it either. And also LoD unfortunately doesn't give a fast travel till way later. Though as i said, there are definitely some scenes worth backtracking for. So basically keep that in mind. :)
      I can't wait to watch the next episode! :)

    Btw Bunny are you playing this on your PS3? PS1 games on PS3 suffer from input delay on modern displays. Additions may be a bit more difficult because of this. You'll get the timing down on the basic ones but don't worry if the more complex ones are a struggle.

    I have never played this game. Seems boring. I hope this gets better. And I'm sorry I can't continue whatsing your rest of the yakuza playthrough cause I need to pause video on almost every dialog. Otherwise, I miss the dialogs. I can't enjoy it fully. You know I have trouble reading.
