My buddy and I attempted to install. We got 98% complete but we could not…for the life of us, get the frunk to close properly. We spent hours tonight and for the life of us couldn’t get the bracket to lock properly.

I just had mine installed by Yahasun.They only use one strut and very reasonable price for part/installation.

I can’t get the frunk to hatch and close completely. The hood seems to be tiled now. What am I doing wrong?
Are the two struts at the same length? Perhaps try manually cycling the motion. Make sure the brackets are attached correctly on both sides so there's no length discrepancy. Thats the main thing I would check for if the hood is now tilted.

If you see this I need some advice on my 04’ Z4. The drivers door is latched shut and will NOT open.😂. Is there any possible way to open it, get the panel off while it’s latched shut, or anything that might help me. Thanks!
You'll need to get the panel off, the mechanism isn't great and I think this is a relatively common issue with z4s. I think I had this problem at one point too if I remember correctly.
