If you have narcissistic parents (especially covert narcs), then it makes sense why they hide their verbal abuse behind “jokes” that they KNOW will hurt you. Narcissistic people hardly ever change. They pretend to when they feel like they’re losing you (their narcissistic supply), until they convince you to come back - then the same bs starts. I cut off my narc dad at the age of 17. I’m 21 and he’s tried every trick in the book to get me to come back (besides a straightforward apology) and it hasn’t worked so he’s still keeping up the nice guy act. I’m proud of you for how aware you are of yourself and your situation ❤
thats literally what i am going through right now as we speak, i dint want to have to cut him off entirely as it would break me more, but will if it gets to that point. now that i am gone he messages everyday to see how i am, yet there were so many days where he didnt check up on me while under his roof. i am sorry for ur experience with abuse and i find it inspiring that ur in a place now to give hope and strength to ppl in situations like ours. im here if u need anything ❤
grateful that you have a car... the homeless situation in america breaks my heart. Seeing people sleeping on cold concrete without a bathroom to relieve themselves is so sad... And the reality is that most of us are one wrong move away from being homeless as well. You are beautiful and seem well spoken. Hope things turn around for you quick ❤

I been homless with a car, been homeless without. Having a car that works makes life so much easier when youre in that situation. Planet fitness for showers, food bank if applicable. Communities/ neighborhoods with pools are nice as they have spots to lay down, grills to cook, showers, and private bathrooms usually. Just be sure to find ones with minimal security. Make sure you got a cheap tent and sleepingbag from walmart, make sure its up to stuff for the weather in your area. West coast generally has more resources for these kind of situations. Shelters suck with curfews and limited availability. Church is your friend when tryin to get back on your feet, even if you dont subscribe to that religion. Make sure that car note is up to date, get car shield to keep it runnin. Jobs as server/ bartenders are can be lucrative with minimal requirements and cash daily to keep you goin. Keep your head up G, we gon get there.

I hear taking care of your body but something im learning recently (im 26) is the days you dont want to do something are the days you MUST push yourself to do what you gotta do. Building dicipline isnt easy, but you'd be amazed how much YOU can actaully accomplish beyond your current self. Stay sane, stay patient fam 💯 push yourself 💪🏾

@ all we can do is be thankful for the air and life that we have right now. Being at a young age feels so weird. And if a person that’s young says they have everything together there so full of it. lol, key to life is happiness. If you have no happiness you have nothing to live for. I really wish it could be easier for us as humans to be able to thrive and flourish. But not everyone has a chance at success. Sadly. Ik from experience. I’m only 25 and look into my future and goals.. but honestly you don’t know what could happen before that.. yaknow.. you can’t wright your own future.. and some people are living like they have no self awareness… and it’s honestly sad. Because the real world around us is not good at all…… it’s very messed up.. and I might have alittle to myself now. But the future holds for me is uncertain. That goes for everyone tho. You could be rich tomorrow and have nothing the next day. It’s all about how you approach and treat it. Iv seen my mistakes and I’m getting older. But I see no point in getting rich. I see being able to help others around me while being on my feet. Iv helped more people than Iv helped myself. Wised is a curse and a blessing. Because when you see something and know it’s not right. It wares on your ability and heart.

If you buy food, dried foods and non perishables will save money and last longer. Walmart sells $30 portable stoves and the butane canisters go for $2. Hot water is free at gas stations for hot chocolate to keep warm and oatmeal and soups. Some churches have food pantries where you can get supplies. Learn survival skills and where to find resources.
