I just recently picked up the radio myself. And I will say it is a very nice radio especially the digital receive. And yes you're right the service menu you can really customize the radio in a manner that you like and your amplifier likes LOL. My only complaint with the radio is the RJ45 connector. I wish they would have went with a four-pin or maybe even a 5 Pin like the President radios.
Has anyone else noticed how the S-meter on the AT5555N seems to be "stuck" in a vary narrow range? Mine will very seldom get above S9 even when multiple other listeners located at greater distance from a powerful station are reporting +10, +20 and higher readings. This radio needs a method to calibrate the S-meter. I've been searching for one and still haven't found it.
@@KE8ODY-WV-Ares-Ham-Dad-3O4 now the one I had in that video was the first generation of that radio. There's been at least one if not two revisions or variations of that. It might be worth checking out the newest one to see if they've changed those buttons to where they light up

Think you can adjust it in the service menu...

If you have the NEW version of the 5555N then yes it will do 60 to 70 watts. The old original version does less.
