A lot of it is related to the game's lore though, and so there'd be a ton of explaining to do. Mostly a bunch of minor things such as the painting of Helen on Mann Manor. What surprised me though was that for the secret room in Warehouse 12:36, he didn't explain that this area can actually be accessed during a match. It needs to be done with multiple people with a certain setup of player characters and you need to bring the jack along, then positioning yourself correctly will turn on the TV and grant you an in-game hat to equip on the characters.

I got to meet a couple voice actors for Overwatch, and Blizzard has them sign contracts ordering them not to do non-canon lines of their characters. I wonder why Valve doesn't make Nathan do that.
Is it really an asshole thing to do though? I mean, it's pretty much commonplace for voice actors these days and for good reason. I'm pretty damn sure Valve have similar contractual agreements in place. Think of it from their point of view. You have a character that is your intellectual property and you pay somebody to be the literal voice of that character, one of the most unique and instantly recognisable things about a character. If that somebody then went around doing voicelines for that character *for other people*, your own property is basically being infringed upon. Not only that, but depending on the stuff being performed, it can be used to misrepresent those characters and ultimately reflect upon the company's image. Imagine if no such contract was in place. There would be nothing stopping people from paying Dva's voice actor to record voice lines for a R34 video, something I'm pretty sure Blizzard (or any company that owns such a character) would not want *their* character in. There would also be nothing stopping people from paying S76's voice actor to record lines for an advert, effectively using somebody else's already established character to gain money. This only extends to actually voice acting work though. There are many videos of their different Overwatch VAs casually doing their voices, which is generally allowed considering they're not doing it with the intention of providing voice lines to anyone. In a similar light, just about any company selling unofficial Overwatch merchandise (most shirts with Overwatch characters on) are actually infringing trademarking law. They don't own the characters that they are using in order to sell shirts or whatever. Yet they haven't been taken down, atleast not yet. My point is, just because something is technically illegal, that doesn't mean it will be fully enforced all the time. The contract with voice actors is just there so that if somebody takes it too far (like literally paying the voice actors to do those lines) the company has legal backing to prevent it. The only assholes I see here are the people who always seem to have issues with companies rightfully protecting their property.
AGrayPhantom Cause TF2, unlike Overwatch, has been around for a long time, and if they'd make Nathan do that, one of these would happen 1) He would not accept and gets fired 2) He would accept but break it and get fired 3) He would accept and no get fired but the community is unhappy. 1 and 2 will cost Valve a lot of money because they'd need a new actor to say ALL of these lines. 3 would make some of the playerbase quit or riot, also not good. TF2 has a lot more voice lines than Overwatch. Scout: Responses, Voice commands, Taunts(voice lines), and 8 other classes same things + merasmus, admin, miss pauling etc. Responses. Overwatch has been around for 2 years and could easily replace some voice lines if some were to do those first 2 things I mentioned earlier, there isn't really many voice lines compared to TF2. Answered
6:25 I'm guessing they did that for a couple reasons: 1 being that they made the map before hand, and didn't know how much room they needed for the video. And 2 them being safe and making sure not to limit themselves on the camera angles they could get.
M. Wayne And it required some insane coordination not possible in any normal situation on that map when playing in order to do said achievement Requires inputs from both teams for the room to become accessible
M. Wayne it's a pass time map so I understand why you would not know about it. Anyways you have to do some very specific steps then you can get in the room do some other steps and then you get a free hat
12:36 there is a way to legitimately get into that room by following very specific and convoluted steps and doing it will get you a pretty rare achievement. Look up Marasmus's Interdimensional box on RUclips to learn more about it.
I was actually pretty excited for this episode, as Team Fortress 2 is my favorite video game, but I was a little disappointed at the amount of brushing over details done in this video. For quite a bit of things in the video, explaining the significance of them / giving more details would help clear up things for many, as well as those who didn't know those possibly finding them interesting. Just my two cents, keep doing what you're doing, the rest of your content is great!
The meet the engineer video's map is actually just a part of Hydro, they probably went into hammer and just selected the big chunks of the map and deleted it The training room is actually behind one of the thundermountain maps by the looks of it The duckies in snowplow are because of the short that came with the end of the line update (map was added later, too confusing) The hidden room in warehouse is actually for the merasmus TV achievement Just to clear up some things
Subbed because of funny intro and amazing scout voice acting I think It sounds so similar i can't even tell if it's voice-line mashing or actual voice acting Edit: Holy Shit it is the scout voice actor 10/10 man Nothing beats the real deal

UnderScore milk well I think that this was just done to cut time from modeling an empty socket. Much easier to just shove a black sphere in there than texture the empty hole in a way that fits well and won’t warp face animations.
@@TheRealGears In one of the comics they mention this along the lines of. Demomen asks to get a new eye and during halloween it turns into some Monster. Such as the Monocculus, a Vampire eye, and other stuff. Which is why Demoman Is no longer allowed to ask for a new eye. That what I remmeber from one of the comics.
The room seen at 12:55 is actually accessible to players, but it's a long and difficult process. That room also is used to unlock the "Tune Merasmus' Multi-dimensional Television" achievement, where the server has to band together to place specific classes in specific spots inside the room to tune the titular television. Last time I checked, it's one of the harder achievements in the game to earn.
10:46 I think the reason this this here is this map used to be a robot destruction map before it got put into the game, there needed to be robots out of bounds waiting for a player to die, but when it got added to the game, it got turned into its own game mode and the robots were no longer needed.

3) He would accept and no get fired but the community is unhappy.

Then don't. That's not my problem.
I love how this is still up to date *3 years later*
6:25 I'm guessing they did that for a couple reasons:
1 being that they made the map before hand, and didn't know how much room they needed for the video.
And 2 them being safe and making sure not to limit themselves on the camera angles they could get.
12:45 It's a room to get a achievement but it's super hard to get Into since it requires both teams to cooperate
Pixels I know that too. I kinda freaked out when he found it. XD
An awaited episode that fully delivers
That "mystical room" doesn't really count because it does have a purpose.
Plague Bomber and the player is able to get in there
And obtain a mystical hat!
Wait, what? I haven't played TF2 in forever, and have never gone on that map. What is the purpose of it?
M. Wayne And it required some insane coordination not possible in any normal situation on that map when playing in order to do said achievement
Requires inputs from both teams for the room to become accessible
M. Wayne it's a pass time map so I understand why you would not know about it. Anyways you have to do some very specific steps then you can get in the room do some other steps and then you get a free hat
I haven’t seen anyone do a team fortress video that was not a list or gameplay in ages thank you so much this is my favourite game
It's insane how a game of 2007 have so many easter eggs
Thank you for the intro Nathan!
12:36 there is a way to legitimately get into that room by following very specific and convoluted steps and doing it will get you a pretty rare achievement. Look up Marasmus's Interdimensional box on RUclips to learn more about it.
That intro was "Worth the wait"
Thank you. It was very nice of Shesez to give me a little extra time.

What if the banana at 2:51 was a hint at the update coming for heavy henc he has a eatable banana now?
Bit late but I don't think so because the update was chosen by the community.
no
*hence
@@NuclearRaven13 bit late but couldnt valve just decide that the update is jungle baded?
Makes sense.
Nathan Veterline is such a chill and awsome guy! He is happy to do lines for people as scout and that is really cool when you think about it.
What do you think to dedicate an episode to the first three RE games?
I was actually pretty excited for this episode, as Team Fortress 2 is my favorite video game, but I was a little disappointed at the amount of brushing over details done in this video. For quite a bit of things in the video, explaining the significance of them / giving more details would help clear up things for many, as well as those who didn't know those possibly finding them interesting. Just my two cents, keep doing what you're doing, the rest of your content is great!
The meet the engineer video's map is actually just a part of Hydro, they probably went into hammer and just selected the big chunks of the map and deleted it
The training room is actually behind one of the thundermountain maps by the looks of it
The duckies in snowplow are because of the short that came with the end of the line update (map was added later, too confusing)
The hidden room in warehouse is actually for the merasmus TV achievement
Just to clear up some things
god i love this community with it's creative stuff on the work shop that actually has a chance to be on the game.
12:36 That room in warehouse actually has a special purpose. If both teams do a series of intricate steps they can get in and are rewarded with a hat.
I ASKED FOR THIS IN A STREAM ONCE! THIS IS MY FAVORITE GAME!
Subbed because of funny intro and amazing scout voice acting
I think
It sounds so similar i can't even tell if it's voice-line mashing or actual voice acting
Edit:
Holy Shit it is the scout voice actor
10/10 man
Nothing beats the real deal
THE HELL? SPART? XD I WAS NOT EXPECTING YOU HERE XD
Hey spart XD

OMG Thank you soooooooooooo much. Tf2 is like my favorite game. I LOVE you sooooooo much. 💗
Map Builders: Heh those people will never be able to find secrets
Shesez: question
I think games like half life and portal and tf2 and Gmod helped shape the gaming industry in the mid 2000s
Have you tuned merasmus’ multi-dimensional television?
Please please please new Game Club Podcast episode please please please pleeeeease
I love the way they secretly hit the Mann vs Machine Robot update, its so cool! Especially how only nerds would ever see them and very few people would ever see it or realise what it was hinting at until after the update came out!
10:30 that’s actually the ap-zap, a reskin of the original zapper that’s made to look like Wheatley from portal 2 (I really want the reskin but it’s worth alot)
But wait.....whats inside the breifcase tho?....boundary break...without looking inside the "mysterious" briefcase....
I still love you tho
It's empty, just a regular model.
there are anime tiddies in the briefcase
Marcellus Wallace's heart
Everyone knows what's in the intelligence...
Gaben's Half Life 3 Plans and his secret stash of Mann Co. Supply Crate Keys.
@@marioifherealin2013 my god
This has to be the easiest Boundry Break episode of all time
Thanks for doing a video on my favorite shooter, Shesez. There’s not a lot of good TF2 content nowadays.
Amazing video as always. Found these out myself while making Gmod posters, usually by accident. Good job.
Nice Job Nathan.
does that mean that demo actually have a eye but its just in a subconjunctival hemorrhage (basically just means u have blood spilled in your eye) state? Does that mean medic was lying to us???????(see the tf2 comics)
Well, Demoman didn't _lose_ his eye per say, it's just cursed. At halloween, if Demoman has his eye back it becomes the mono occulus.
UnderScore milk well I think that this was just done to cut time from modeling an empty socket. Much easier to just shove a black sphere in there than texture the empty hole in a way that fits well and won’t warp face animations.
No because demo lost his eye to the bombinomicon while cleaning merasmus’s castle
Oh, just like 2D from Gorillaz!
TF2 is one of the best multiplayer games ever, period.
You don't need the word multiplayer
I have 620 hours on TF2 and I only found about 5 of these
Barley anything in terms of hours
sorry 620 hours
Spebby Alt thats how many hours I have on CS:GO (I do not like it very much)
Connor McMullen you need at least 3000
Mine is 600 hours wow!
I love going out of bounds in this game! Wonder if that banana Bay easter egg is going to be in this video?
cool beans
Tf2 is my all time favorite game ever, i have 451 hours on it so far
No doubt, I have 3,356 hours!
In terms of shooters, it is my favorite :D
Those are rookie numbers
Punykirby 1,000+
I can understand that. I have over 4,000 hours on it! Awesome and addicting game!
HOLY SHIT THIS IS THE BEST EPISODE!
The fact you actually got Nathan Vetterlien to do the intro, that's nice.
How are you gonna pass up the opportunity to say "Now for a Foundry Break"😉😂
Shezez stoped working watched the h3 podcast and then continued. Lol
