For those that have the sylus, AAAA batteries can be obtained very easilly, If you purchase your standard 9V PP3 Batteries (you know, the rectangular type with the two terminals on the top) open one up, they are made up of 6 AAAA batteries. Making your AAAA very affordable, and obtainable from just about any show that sells batteries. Hope this helps
I stay too busy with my work to have time to investigate all these products. Hence, your reviews are extremely helpful. Just ordered 3 of the Stylus Pro for my Sons and myself. Previously acquired Glock 19, Remington 870, Leatherman tool, Buck folder, to name a few. THANKS.
Thanks for another great review! Mom and brother are in town for a few days and went shopping with me at BassPro. I got a Stylus Pro, Mom chose a Pink Nano (she's a breast cancer survivor) for her Christmas present (along with a sweater), and on her suggestion Dad got a black Stylus Nano. Mom, brother & I were all very impressed with the Stylus Pro. The Nano is small & LIGHT enough for Mom & Dad to carry on a keychain where they will actually carry them. Thanks again & have a Merry Christmas!!!
Although some people would say his video is pretty long and draggy but I enjoyed watching his video, it's very detailed and I learnt alot from him. The first light I bought after watching his video was the LD20. And this time I bought a Streamlight Stylus Pro C4 after watching his video again. Keep up the good work nutn.
In the video you comment on the o ring wearing out. When I had the same problem with mine I contacted the company asking about buying another and they sent me a half dozen at no charge. That is great customer service.
280markat - thanks so much and I hope your family has a beautiful holiday season too..eat well, enjoy your time together and make good memories. -- Veri
After accidentally being water tested in the laundry machine, and then heat and shock tested in the dryer. This light still works! Even my wife was impressed.
I thought I was just into Fire-arms but after being a subscriber of Nutnfancy, I can say I love and into all Gear! Knifes, tact gear, holsters, vests, first aid, training my dog, Knifes!, and more pistol fan then ever! jeez I need more money for all this stuff :) thanks for the video Going to pick up a a stylus pro tomorrow.
NutnFancy, You have done it again! You sold me on the Pro so I went out and ordered one online tonight. Great Vid!! Bravo Zulu keep the Vids coming, even thou my wife is will get mad since I keep getting the gear that you recommend and I need.
Another fantastic review! You hit the nail on the head, as usual. I have the streamlight stylus in black from your recommendation awhile back, looove it. Fits in my pocket where a pen would go, perfect for my system. Thank's!
Haha! Yeah, watching Nutn's videos is basically making my Christmas list for me... The problem is that the more I watch, the more stuff I "can't live without" :)
Ive carried a stylus pro for over a year now and i use it every day, either for work or just misc. task.s. I was given my first one as a present from a friend. I lost it several months later and found myself reaching for it whenever I entered an unlit area only to find it not there. I ordered a new one a week later. I love this light. I would be lost without it.
After watching your vid I went and bought 2 of the Stylus pros one for me and one as a gift for my brother, Excellent lights for an addition to my E.D.C. system. I really preferred the pro for the AAA batteries, excellent review Thank you fro helping point out a high value product.
My stylus pro has been through a cycle in the washing machine! The rubber cap is just barely hanging on, but the light still works great. I love it! BTW, you rock nutnfancy!
I received the Stylus Pro for Christmas. It is a very impressive light. The flood capacity is not impressive yet what is surprising is how far the beam will cast. I currently carry this with me everywhere. The light output is about 24 lumens for 7.5 hours. It's waterproof, shockproof, corrosion proof, and it has battery power regulating electronics (the light won't start super bright and become dimmer as the battery dies). I give it 3 thumbs up!
Not actively working on them but they are in "the works". I know that's disappointing (I love them too!), but he KNOWS that he needs to get them out. Its just a matter of finding the right time. Believe me, we talk about it all the time. -- Veri
Thanks nutnfancy. I was never a fan of AAA LED lights until I saw your video. I bought the one cell version, the micro stream light. My next purchase will be the stylus pro. Keep up the gear reviews!
I just found out that the small pink mag lite that my dad has used for years and years broke. Over the holiday I brought my fenix headband with the quark mini home, used with much success btw, and it's mind blowing how much brighter the tiny little quark is than the old style lights. But I'm going to get him a stylus pro to replace the mag lite in his garage. Awesome reviews man.
I dropped my Stylus Pro in a parking lot today while running to my car in a heavy thunderstorm. I found it about 4 hours later after several inches of rainfall having been run over at least once, picked it up, wiped it off, clicked the button, still works like a champ. Quality product here.
Anytime, party, and your input is always welcome. You may end up having to do what I do..download it and watch in between chores. ;) -- Veri (Nutn's sister)
Good Advice. The MicroStream is my EDC "task light." Super compact, great clip, and reasonably bright. A super light to carry for those situations when you other wise wouldn't carry a light.
Dad found the stylus pro at his work and gave it to me. Had it for a year or so and never bothered to put batteries in it. Saw one of the dudes I follow on instagram post a pic of his EDC pocket dump for the day and it had the stylus pro. Thought I'd pull it out and had no idea it was such a popular light among the tactical community. Always count on nutn to have a review for me! Thank man.
Looks like a nice little flashlight, I bought the Fenix LD20 because I needed a light and nutn said it was good, and wow that light is everything he said it was and a little more, so I really cant wait to get a couple of these, cool vid, 5*s, thanks for everything you do nutn and veri, keep it up, and I hope you both have a great Christmas.
I am a physican and I use the Stylus pro daily in the ER. I was tired of flashlights which broke when dropped. Other physicans borrow it from me. Guys get one yourself. Awesome. I use it as a tactical light at home too, so light.
My red anodized Stylus Pro has been in my inventory for a month now and I'm unable to wear it out. Great light for the money, slightly limited by lumens but not by quality nor availability as it is one you will actually carry all the time. Excellent recommendation. Impress your friends---get one!
I think the time is getting close, bladeguy. We use altogether too many of his phrases at MY house, I know that. Right now, we're hung up on "daddy like!" -- Veri (Nutn's sister)
I got a Stylus pro now, very thanks to my buddy. He gave them to all his groomsmen. And we were all pretty stoked about it. I was like dude those are nutnfancy approved and he was like, I know.
Like marlin336guy said below, the pro does come with a replacement tail cap now. I bought one thanks your review and was pleasantly surprised to find one included.
Great Review, Nutn. I agree with all of your assessments. However, I have purchased the MicroStream and absolutely love it. The overall length is 3 1/2" and carries well on a neck lanyard made of paracord. Great for avoiding the dog toys and coffee table corners on the way to bed in a dark house. Also easy to conceal in one hand, a trivial point but pretty cool for 20 lumens. Happy Holidays!
The Stylus Pro now has a Cree LED at 48 Lumens - Nutn should do a quickie update regarding the new model! I work in the auto repair field, and all the techs I work with have at least one. Awesome flashlight.
I love Streamlight, affordable, high quality, lights. I started with a polytac, thats in my truck and just picked up the stylus pro today, so pumped its one of Nutns favs!!
Great review Nutn, these little lights are pretty useful gift ideas that's for sure! I would be very happy if I would find a Stylus pro under the christmas tree! I will send your playlists to Santa to choose from! Your playlist --->my wishlist :)
The problem with that is, if he cuts down the time, people complain that he left out parts of the review. If it makes it longer, people complain that they don't have time to watch. In the end, he makes videos the length he likes..and disregards the buzz around it. That's basically the only way you can RUclips and keep your sanity. Hope that doesn't come across as snotty, its just a lesson he learned long ago. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)
Gulden, true. As much as you want to, you can't make everybody happy. Nutn has been doing these lengthy "in depth" pieces since he was a young man..its just a brain thing. And it has worked for him. I see shorter reviews that I like for totally different reasons..but that's not really Nutn's style unless he's on the fly. -- V
Great review as always! I sure hope you'll be picking up the new penlights that just came out: Preon by 4Sevens and LD05 by Fenix. Just wanted to give a little heads up. :) Take care now and happy holidays!
Just an FYI - the AAAA battery is used to make most 9V batteries. If you are willing to pull apart a 9V you will have 6 x AAAA (unmarked for polarity). Another great vid - thanks TNP.
you aint kidding about anyone liking these lights. my grandmother was needing a smaller light to help her find things around the house and she loves it!She just keeps it in her pen jar,and likes that it uses AAA since her tv remotes do to.......everyones light Great review 5 stars Oh the blue may be low power but when tracking animals blood trails at night the blue makes blood stand out BIG TIME, so it has its purpose.....
Great Vid Nutn. I have been stumped as to what to get some friends, i think this + a value edc blade is going to make my christmas shopping easy and enjoyable. thanks alot. Radioactive
definitely need to do an updated video with the new 46lumen stylus pro as well as comparing it to other competitors in the penlight form factor such as the preon 2, terralux lightstar 80, fenix LD05, and the Eagletac PN20A2
My Stylus Pro only lasted a year of EDC, rubber button cover worn through, also it goes off intermittantly when on. Will be sending it it for warrenty. I upgraded to a Preon 2. I have been without my Streamlight for a few days and don't realize how many times I grab for it.
omg,i can't freakin wait...this is way better than waiting for an awesome movie 2 come out...i sure as hell am looking forward to High Skies part 4 heheheheh
The Streamlight webpage for the Stylus Pro shows it now has a C4 LED that puts out 48 lumens w/1,033 candela peak. I was thinking about a 4Sevens Preon 2, but w/an EDC light carried for nite non-lethal SD, I don't want to have to click thru a bunch of functions to get to 50 or more lumens (and possibly click past it). A single function light is like a DOA HGN for SD (vs having to deal w/manual safeties when the SHTF). Thin is great for IWBing at 8 o'clock.
When it comes to gift giving i have a similar philosophy....I always give a knife.. multitool..or light that ive used and know to be a quality product..... For those who arent gadget users these gifts are often revelations.... Give someone a Victorinox Champion and you will be remembered 3x a day.... A Kershaw Skyline to someone not familiar with modern pocket clip liner locks is like discovering sliced bread.....Same for high quality LED lights...These are truely the gifts that keep giving.
akira, Nutn says thanks! He said a viewer told him about this last year and he forgot to mention it in this video..thanks for the reminder, he will probably annotate the video if he remembers -- Veri (Nutn's sister)
It's hard to tell from the video, but the Stylus Pro (black version at least) that I received has a similar coating to the Preon 2, I ordered both. In the Preon 2 review you show your blue anodized version and the finish looks more slick than the black version I have. Just thought I'd add a data point on the chance Streamlight upgraded their finish.

Good review NutN. I've been using a Stylus for years and it has performed flawlessly.
Bought one based on this review. Very pleased with quality, brightness, throw, and price. Came with an extra rubber button cover. Thanks nutn.

I also have the Fenix TK11 R2, awesome 240 lumens, also ordered the PD30 one for me one for Dad for Christmas.
I just bought the microstream and I love it its bright as all get out
Awesome, got a Stylus pro on its way. thanks Nutnfancy

Hope a Preon2 review is in the works.
I bought one. Nice light for the price. Video perhaps someday.

nice video, so nice flashlights, i get some of these, very handy
great work Nutn
cool lights. thanks for sharing man!

great lights hands down!
It's all good. I really enjoyed this one. Now I want a Boba Fett stylus pro!
Happy Holidays !
TNP
just got my stylus pro love it. just to add to your vid they do now come with an extra tip for the button
have you checked out the new four mode 3 watt led minimag aa maglight yet? its a little longer than the older minimag light. It seems about like the Fenix lights in most respects. really bright and really long battery life. great for a vehicle or camping I think.
Guys, guys, guys... First of all, Nutn DOES NOT HEED to those kinda complaints. There is no feasible way to satisfy all of his viewers with any given video length, therefore the length is adjusted to satisfy Nutn. Don't like it? Don't watch it. If you are made to watch it against your will contact Veri for help - she'll beat your oppressors ^^
nutn, I really appreciate your reviews, just a little constructive criticism would be to try and keep the video time down a little. I'm sure this vid could have been 20 or even 17 mins long. Again I really appreciate these vids; thanks soo much for all the time and effort you put into them!
ay nutin you should make a video about what you think about maglights keep up the good work!!
My Stylus Pro has been a great pocket, every day carry light.
Just ordered a Stylus Pro from MidwayUSA. Almost went with the Microstream but being so small I would've lost it pretty fast. Thanks Nutn'
9:13 The endcap on the stylus pro has worn out after a year of daily use, but is still functional after the rubber is gone.
My father and I have used both of the stylus lights and the larger is byfar better at holding up over time and hasnt been as troublesome as the smaller.
Does the Stylus Pro fit in a 'loose' pen sleeve/pocket?
I know it doesn't mean much nutnfancy but thanks for keeping it real
