Hi Charity. We love your channel. We just watched your Hit The Road in 1 Hour video. We have been Weekend Warriors going on our third year. I have three lists. One list is the All-Year Inventory of every item that stays in the RV all the time. This list includes tools, my "camping" clothes, (I can't convince my wife to set aside "camping" clothes), games, bedding, pots, pans, utensils, bath and dish towels, washcloths, etc. I have a 2nd list called Pre-Season Inventory of every item that we make sure is in the RV at the beginning of the season, including non-perishable foods, dry foods, batteries, etc. My 3rd list is the Pre-Trip Inventory of items that includes perishable food items from our meal planning steps, refrigerator./freezer items, my wife's clothes, reservation information, electronics (ipad, computer, etc), and all the dog's items like toys, bones, treats, and her food.
We are weekend warriors with a Class C. We love how quick and easy it is to just get up and go. We used to have a TT and it just wasn’t what we needed. Thanks for the tips
My wife and I only part time. We do keep the duplicates on our coach too. It just makes life easier. We have a couple of friends that when they buy a article of clothing they get two. One for the house and one for the coach. That way they don't even have to load clothes. We haven't quite gotten that far yet. We still load our clothes.

Thank you for the tips! Yes, it is helpful to have doubles of things and keep as much as possible in the rig. We live in Arizona, so we have to be careful about leaving perishables in our Leisure Travel Van (LTV) in the summer, or things that could melt or be damaged by heat. I'm impressed with your decision to be minimalistic with clothing! Our LTV closet is much smaller than yours, so it's not likely that I'll ever fit all my clothes in the LTV. I like your tip about getting utensils from a thrift shop. I have the same utensil set in our LTV and in our home kitchen, so I often have to check to make sure I have enough utensils in the LTV because sometimes I bring dishes in from the LTV after a trip and run them through the dishwasher at home. You reminded me that I urgently need to get different utensils for the RV.
100%. We have our RV fully outfitted with all its own dishes, cookware bedding, toiletries...everything for living. I even have the pantry stocked with dry goods. Just clothes and refrigerator food for any trip! Love your channel! Hope you reach your 20k soon!!

I'm so excited!! I'm planning my first trip!! So I am taking notes!! I've been living in my camper full time for almost a year at home but I'm planning my first trip in about 3 months. I've been a subscriber all this time and y'all have been so gracious responding.
In just bought my first rv. Bought a 2006 toy hauler for $3k. It needs some roof work but I’m a roofing contractor so that shouldn’t be too much hassle. I just got back into videography which is a passion of mine. I picked up two jobs right off the bat, one is for major league fishing and the other is for a East Texas hunting clothing outfitter. They also do chartered the Cannes as well. I do not fancy waking up at 3 AM to make it to the flooded timber by 630. So I have opted to live in the trailer/toy hauler all season long
We had dedicated camping clothes, stuff we were unlikely to wear anymore at home, but were good enough for camping. They were in small duffel bags that we would just throw in our vehicle when we were ready to go. Another thing I found useful was to keep a list when we were out camping of consumable supplies that we ran out of, or were about to run out of. Then when we got home, I could gather those things and have it ready for the next time we were heading out. We pulled a small tent trailer with a truck and only camped in the summer, so everything except food just stayed in the trailer or truck all summer. 🇨🇦
We are not FT at this point, we camped with our kids, then FT now are raising a grandchild. So, I completely agree that duplicates are so ready at a moments notice. My RV uses a 3qt Instant Pot, I have a 6 qt in my house. All is good. I’ll sell my 6qt when i go back on road FT again. I only put fridge items, fruits and breads that will spoil to one from the other.
I’m raising my grandson also. Since he was 4 days old. Such a great blessing. We’re looking to buy a trailer so excited to take him out on camping trips. Trying to learn all the info beforehand

We do pretty much everything you mentioned. We have a TT that is stored away from our home so we use a cooler for fridge food, bins for other food, the portable grill, etc. and a suitcase for clothing. These get loaded into the bed of the truck for transport to the storage lot. Then we just move the bins into the TT and take off. We unpack once we reach our destination or 1st overnight stop. The empty suitcase goes in the under bed storage and the storage bins(usually 2) go under the TT. We will leave dry goods and canned goods in the TT all season and then remove them during winter storage. We camp as much as possible during the season usually 4-5 days at a time.
I'm a newbie!!! Getting our RV tomorrow and I have 3 kids 2 dogs and an awesome hubby. I am youtubing and pintresting like a fool. I need to be able to pack fast and not forget the things you need but don't necessarily think about as a necessity! We are planning to use the RV the same weekend we get it!!
We are fortunate enough to have a 40' camper on a lake spot and we spend a lot of time there in the summer. We try to pull our smaller camper 2-4 weeks during the year and then a lot of short weekend trips to State parks in ND/MN/SD.
Charity, you know those coffee filters can be used for snacks, holding hamburgers, and washing windows, buttering pans etc. They are so cheap and I’ve saved us a lot of money on paper plates.
The only things we ever have to load is food and clothes. And once our summer season starts we keep the RV plugged in at home so I only unload pershible foods and dirty laundry when we get home. As soon as those items get washed they go straight back out and put away.
We're retired and go when it fits into my husbands tournament softball schedule. We have a small class C and like you we keep dups in the rig. I like your checklist and #1 item. Great videos! 👍🏻

I found that if you use a mini M&Ms tube it works great for storing quarters for laundry! they fit perfectly! I personally try and look for the longer one that way I can store more quarters! Cheap and simple, and if it breaks it’s not expensive to go buy a new one!

I am rewatching ALL your organizational videos for the second time :) We just purchased our first motorhome and while we need to winterize for the holidays, we plan to head to Texas for two months at the start of the new year. I'm curious ... is it okay to keep some of these duplicates in the RV while it is stored? Or should I completely empty and then repack when we are ready to back out? Thanks so much for any tips you may have ... and for creating such great content for newbies like us!
We had a pop up camper for years and couldn't keep many things in it on a regular basis, so I began making lists prior to each outing. Doing so was such a big help. Now that we have a travel trailer, I still use a list, but I'm also trying to keep more dedicated items in the camper. The list saves us time and money by not having to find a store to buy what we forgot.
First, I love your videos! They are very informational. As an aspiring RVer,, my family and I are trying to gain knowledge before we jump into our first motorhome. I'm learning a a lot from your tips and experiences. I do however struggle determining if some of the products/services you recommend are things you actually use or are just sponsors of your videos.

Hey there! We do bring our dog and we also use the Jeep as a “daily” driver. However since we work remote, it gets driven more when we’re our traveling than when we are at our home base.

After looking over the Grateful Glamper’s RV Checklist, I am certainly glad that I don’t have to pack and prepare for a trip involving multiple people (adults and mini-adults). Traveling by myself does have its rewards (sometimes). Here’s a few items that I did not readily see on your checklist that I have included on mine: Cash (never know when you need to provide a gratuity) Cordless drill and charger Credit cards (more than one) Drill bits Emergency roadside kit (triangles or flashing LEDs and reflective vest). If you're going to have roadside trouble, it will be very dark and/or wet. Extension cord Funnels Gun *and extra ammo* ICE information on every phone Kindle (instead of books) Laptop computer PAM cooking spray Paper towels (lots of paper towels) Sewer (disposable) gloves Good job, y'all. I have a set of clothes that I use just for camping and travel. I have a duffle bag I keep in the RV ready to go. I also keep a coat, boots, gloves and hats for cold weather. Where did you get the map you have on your slider? Love it!
I am loving all these videos! We just bought a travel trailer for our family of four and your videos have been so helpful at getting everything organized and ready to go. Instead of packing clothes each trip, we keep 5 days worth of clothes in the coach, including swimsuits, jackets, sweatshirts and pjs. The only thing I have to pack is food and medicines. For food staples, my Food Saver is the best, I keep pasta, sugar, and flour after they're sealed up in plastic/glass containers so mice can't eat through the bags. So the only thing I really have to pack are items to go in the refrigerator and freezer.
We had double everything in our pop up. All we had to pack every trip was good and clothes. We just upgraded to a 27’ tt and we transferred everything to it. I don’t know what I am going to fill all the cupboards with, all the stuff we have camped with the last 8 years looks like nothing when we transferred it. We have a huge pantry and we are keto/ low carb so most of our food is refrigerated as we eat very little processed food. I have no idea what I will fill the pantry with.

Approximately how many pieces of clothing do you each have? Shirts, pants, shorts, etc. I have tried reducing our wardrobes a few times and find it really difficult (probably does not help we live in 4 season MI).

We recommend the large towels - the XL’s are great for beach but for everyday use they are a little large. We recently relocated our home base to FL - and when we decide to call a mew area home, we truly make it “home” and adopt the home team. Go Rays! 😎

Lol - it’s funny you say that because others have said they like it’s at the top of the list. The list we have isn’t prioritized in any specific order, just complied over the years as we though of thing we forgot from time to time.

After looking over the Grateful Glamper’s RV Checklist, I am certainly glad that I don’t have to pack and prepare for a trip involving multiple people (adults and mini-adults). Traveling by myself does have its rewards (sometimes).
Here’s a few items that I did not readily see on your checklist that I have included on mine:
Cash (never know when you need to provide a gratuity)
Cordless drill and charger
Credit cards (more than one)
Drill bits
Emergency roadside kit (triangles or flashing LEDs and reflective vest). If you're going to have roadside trouble, it will be very dark and/or wet.
Extension cord
Funnels
Gun *and extra ammo*
ICE information on every phone
Kindle (instead of books)
Laptop computer
PAM cooking spray
Paper towels (lots of paper towels)
Sewer (disposable) gloves

Great tips. Thank you for sharing. I definitely have too much clothes which makes it hard for me to decide on what goes into the Airstream when we are going on a trip.
Downsizing clothing is a constant battle, lol.
We are a couple that goes out on the weekends and then 1 big (at least 3 weeks) vacation per year.

I have a set of clothes that I use just for camping and travel. I have a duffle bag I keep in the RV ready to go. I also keep a coat, boots, gloves and hats for cold weather. Where did you get the map you have on your slider? Love it!

I heard not to use waxy bar soap. I thought it gums up sensors in the tank and can cause issues if stored (melts)
i am in an RV fulltime.. most of this is like if you have a house and you are not full time
Instead of packing clothes each trip, we keep 5 days worth of clothes in the coach, including swimsuits, jackets, sweatshirts and pjs. The only thing I have to pack is food and medicines. For food staples, my Food Saver is the best, I keep pasta, sugar, and flour after they're sealed up in plastic/glass containers so mice can't eat through the bags. So the only thing I really have to pack are items to go in the refrigerator and freezer.

I camp part time I leave underware and socks and bra in the camper all the time. That way I don't have to worry about them.

We had double everything in our pop up. All we had to pack every trip was good and clothes. We just upgraded to a 27’ tt and we transferred everything to it. I don’t know what I am going to fill all the cupboards with, all the stuff we have camped with the last 8 years looks like nothing when we transferred it. We have a huge pantry and we are keto/ low carb so most of our food is refrigerated as we eat very little processed food. I have no idea what I will fill the pantry with.
Don’t fill it it with anything yet. If you don’t need it, leave the space empty for now. It’s also nice to have extra space for anything that comes up

Approximately how many pieces of clothing do you each have? Shirts, pants, shorts, etc.
I have tried reducing our wardrobes a few times and find it really difficult (probably does not help we live in 4 season MI).
We each about 7-10 items of each type of clothing :)

We recommend the large towels - the XL’s are great for beach but for everyday use they are a little large. We recently relocated our home base to FL - and when we decide to call a mew area home, we truly make it “home” and adopt the home team. Go Rays! 😎

Lol - it’s funny you say that because others have said they like it’s at the top of the list. The list we have isn’t prioritized in any specific order, just complied over the years as we though of thing we forgot from time to time.
