Just a tip there my friend, tennis shoes with those types of pants in the woods, NO. rubber knee boots with your pants tucked in, ALWAYS, TICKS. Second, thing, don't put the back pack directly on the ground, again, TICKS. Find a place to hang that bag, everything you put on the ground is going to have ticks on it when you pick it up, even if you can't see them the little nymphs will be on there. Same for tennis shoes and running or work out pants. Also, black pants, NOT GOOD, you can't see the ticks. In the summer when your working in the woods, old faded blue jeans are best, you can see the ticks crawling on you a whole lot easier. Apparently you never had an issue with ticks, yet, or your very new to hunting and being in the woods. Not being critical just wanting to share some knowledge with you about what works for me, but long pants always tucked into knee high Lacrosse rubber boots, helps cut way back on ticks, as does wearing jeans and occasionally looking at your pants legs while working and dusting your pant legs off to get the ticks off you.
