Man you don't understand sanding, one direction doesn't mean only sand to the left, it's horizontal on one grit, then vertical on the other. Basically side to side, then up and down, then back to side to side. It's always going to be "back and forth" but when they meant one direction they meant east to west VS north to south
They were talking about the ceramic coating, not the sanding process. The ceramic coat is all supposed to be applied in one direction, in order to keep the layer as smooth as possible.
I love the effort that you're willing to put in to each of your builds - even if you know they're not going to be perfect when you're done, you still make sure they're the best they can be. Much better than just churning out average jobs for content. 👍👍👍
The yellow looks great! I dig the wheels too! Keep the dark blues on there. I think the blacked out grille makes more sense too if you keep the dark rims.

The chaser is one of my favorite cars, mostly because it's the one that is relatable, just a drivers car built to perform, nothing crazy, just good driving and good looking
@@nathancilia I'm sure he meant Adam's chaser specifically. Everyone sees that it's a midsize sedan.. This one is a driver's car though in a sense that it is fun, simple and reliable. He can just hop in and shred some tires without having to worry too much. That's why it's perfect for driftweek.

The color scheme is perfect with those black wheels. The red accents are spectacular. Red calipers would be a plus. Also maybe just possibly red headlights???? It might just be me. But I’ve never seen a chaser like this. Beautiful!!!

Hey adam, just to claarify the verbage, you used blind rivets on the body kit. "Normal Rivets" are considered to be solid shank rivets that have to be shot on with squeezers or with a rivet gun and bucking bar.
I don’t mind the yellow and mag blue, just thinking hondas yellow is a tad more faded by design, so it may be why you preferred it on the teg over the chaser. I actually love the black grill. Drift taxi for life!

I have never been a fan of the copper brown wrap on the Chaser... I think the yellow looks great but the white wheels would set it off!! I used to drive a yellow Evo 8 with white wheels and I love that combo of colors!!
if you want a slightly longer term fix to the headlights you can throw 2-3 coats of urethane clear after you sand it, they typically come out very clear . The only major downfall is rock chips
that yellow is very much like a colour we get here in the UK called Liquid Yellow... it comes on a few generations of Renault Clio and a few generations of Renault Megane. Awesome choice!
There's a thing about polishing and scratches. You want to move in random ways to get rid of scratches all the way down to the deepest scratch, more aggressive grits. When polishing comes around you want to keep everything in-line to get the best polish. So random/crossing for material removal, same direction for polishing.

I tryed the polish think on my headlights too.. but I used a Kit from Sonax, its a German company, u get a drill adapter and can polish it whit a drill, makes it very easy... first step 1000 - 2000- 3000 and as finish u get some polish stuff.. and that stuff works... used it a year ago, and the headlight still clear and shiny. And BTW all black trimm would look so much better on the JZX
Not sure you would want to get into the dimpling required, but have you considered flush aviation rivets? Under a wrap, you've probably never see it at all.

hey.. why you'll don't try painting the trim in "Hyper black" or even " Gun metal". They're both darker than the chrome but not as dark as a black.

The 3M kit is basically the same but has a drill attachment for the sanding/buffing making life much better.
Hey Scott, the sanding disc included in our kit show here are foam backed and able to be attached to any 3" polisher!
