This game has that artstyle of Azure Striker. It's the inti creates version of megaman X with a pop idol as your partner. Capcom should just hire these guys to make more HD Megaman X style games. They recently did a Ghouls n Ghosts HD reboot.
I remember when I had my GBA and I played over and over again Mega Man Zero 1 though 4. It was awesome and then they went and released Mega Man ZX and ZX Advent which were also great. This game seems particularly inspired by ZX and Advent. I will buy this one for sure
Hades really got me into fast paced games and also taught me how to play them. I remember feeling stunned by the difficulty at first, questioning whether I could ever make progress. Slowly but surely, yes I could. This may not be up to the level of Hades(or down??), but definitely looks like a blast!
Wow, what a surprise indeed! This went onto my WL. You guys just got me to buy chronicles of 2 heroes, so this needs to go on the backburner for a few 😂
I think this is going to rise to the top of the meager/sparse Switch prospects this year. Also, something like a spiritual successor to the Azure Striker Gunvolt series.

Oh, this one looks right up my alley. I love Mega Man X and old school Sonic. Really nice pixel graphics and color pallets that remind me of Treasure Planet. This one looks fantastic, very tempted to buy it immediately! Another new release you guys should check out is Gravityscape DX, comes from one of the Tiny Thor developers and is a lovely homage to Atari 2600/Commodore 64. One of those ones that’s really simple and bare bones but is just really satisfying and addictive. Plus even at full price it’s a saveloy 😅

I love these surprise drops of great indie games, but it also makes me a little sad that they don’t get the attention they deserve due to marketing/budgetary constraints of smaller studios.

I wish these megaman esque games were just a bit longer. Like I've almost bought the gunvolt games or 20/30xx but there only like 3-6 hours long which just isn't enough for the price imo. I realy want to play one, just struggling to justify the price
You said Megaman & Sonic, which is correct, but you might want to add Hollow Knight as well. Because in that game new abilities/Charm (for hollow knight) let you take new paths with in the same level
It was a good game. I liked the design scheme, and I can understand what the creators were going for: blend of Megaman, mario and sonic. (Like a mascot blend) My biggest issue was that the controls felt very wonky and not as reaponsive as one hoped. Even after changing the button schematics it wasn't as intuitive as genuine Megamall games or even inticreate games for that matter. And tbh this one point was very frustrating. Over all, I like how fans and indie games are keeping the Megaman spirit alive. Mighty Goose, Super Alloy Ranger, and you could even say Metallic Child all have the same feel. Berserk Boy felt more like the ZX games
I would love to play this game so much. Mega man and sonic mixed together? seems like a perfect match! These are my favorite types of games. Improved hybrids of everything I like about the games I grew up with. Thank you for telling me about this. I hope I get to play it.
This looks like an absolute blast. I'm not sure, based on the footage, how Sonic it actually is though. You mention speed and momentum but the tootage as far as I can tell doesn't remotely look like that momentum comes even close to be chainable in the way it is for Sonic - maybe that'll feel different when i play, but it looked like you were starting and stopping too much for it to truly feel like it flows like a (gppd) Sonic game would. Sonic gameplay is often boiled down to speed and momentum but the systems in that game are a lot more complex than just that. Theres more a pin ball thing going on which this doesn't have at all, so I'll be surprised if it feels Sonic like enoug, or at all. I love the Mega Man X/Zero serieses and this looks more like that but sped up tenfold.
Looks awesome. I'm an Old so I was playing Mega Man on NES as a kid when they were current. Then Mega Man X came along and changed the game, so to speak!

Between this and the likes of the new Prince of persia, there seems to be a nice little wave of 2D action games coming in on switch, nice one boys!

The Azure Striker games already combined Sonic and MegaMan. But paying homage to those games is not a bad thing.

How does this compare to Mighty Gunvolt Burst and 20/30xx? I always enjoy this style of game will be putting it on a wishlist to get on sale.
