I'm with you in hoping Super Switch is backwards compatible... And can improve the performance of EXISTING games. I might even pick up the Batman Games (ugh!)
super switch lmao i wouldnt count on that. i doubt theyll use a real fast chipset. theyre probably use chip equal to snapdragon 865 plus it would be able to run aaa games on old engines, low frames and low resolution.
It's absolutely backwards compatible. Whether or not it will improve the performance of switch games depends on whether the game has an unlocked framerate or the developer releases a patch to take advantage of the new hardware.
I just want to point out that Risk of Rain 1 and 2 are both 75% off, at least in the US region. Solid pickups for anyone interested in roguelike shooters/platformers
If you plan on spending time with your family over the next few weeks/months/years then do not buy Hogwarts Legacy, Dragon's Dogma, Cozy Grove, Moonlighter or ANY of the Sherlock Homes games (Devil's Daughter is rather good and often part of a bundle that will see you through till Christmas 2025).
I picked up Fragrant Story for £1.75 a tactics RPG which wears it's FfTactics influences on it's sleeve. Great game and the developer works as non profit. Highly recommended!
I can't wait to jump into a new game I'm 145 hours into Trails Through Daybreak (Masterpiece, but could have done with being shorter). I'm making my way up towards the end. "7" chapters. A lot of people mention there are 5 chapters, but the "intermission" between 4 and 5 is as long as the other chapters and the "Finale" is arguably the longest chapter in the game. The backlog is calling, and I'm not sure I'll even get to Zelda before Metaphor drops.
New games I've bought are Bloomtown and Beyond Galaxyland and think they're fantastic. I've also (finally) picked up Children of Morta - wow, gorgeous game!
Monster hunter generations ultimate on sake for £8.99 is amazing. The gane has such a huge amount of content! It also has the most monsters in a mh game. Absolutely cracking
Agreed so much! I bought it in a previous sale without doing enough research and I really like the look of it but the performance was a deal-breaker for me, melted all the cozy feelings away. Deleted after 1 hour of play.
Oh how odd. My sister loves that game on the switch she’s got hundreds of hours in it, pretty much every time it pops up that she’s on her switch she’s playing it, never has complained of any issues
I made a decision to start shopping in my backlog (which should be a new entry in Websters…) and I was like, holy crap… I have outer worlds. So, you m working on that!
2:03 Nintendo developers: how should we let our game developers know the next system will be backwards compatible? Nintendo president: just tell them to crack on, they’ll know, they’ll know.
Funny I'm actually playing DBZ kakarot right now lol I'm fighting Buu . I really want the switch 2 to have themes like the 3ds had I miss having my Pikmin theme so bad !
Well, I am playing the new Zelda at the moment, see you in a few weeks :) Then back to Beyond Good and Evil, which is lovely. And then I maybe finish the Outer Wilds, which is truly one of a kind (but I got lost and had to check the walkthrough, and then switched to other titles).
Thank god nothing got my interest, im waiting for zelda echoes of wisdom to arrive physical at my country (I think some 10 days left) so i dont want to spend the zelda money on another game hahaha
Moonlighter is a great game. I have completed it (and the dlc) but not touched it since. Might have to play it again since I hear the music all the time in your videos 😂
Dragon's Dogma is one of the last relics of a better time in gaming. It is a gem and it must be gatekept. No normies in my Gransys. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE (seriously though, its amazing, you need it in your life).
Dragon's Dogma, Cozy Grove, Moonlighter, The Forest Quartet and Sherlock Holmes are all worth picking up. Thankfully, I already own them all, so woo, my wallet is safe this week!😂
I'm a Walker also. We may be distantly related, who knows. But you can visit us in beautiful Fort Payne, AL, USA. All I ask is for some saveloys. I visited London in 1998 but had no idea what a saveloy was. I love cheap American food & would love to try cheap British food
After 400 hours I've finished TOTK, am now starting Echoes Of Wisdom after buying Skywalker Saga on sale last week which had been on my wishlist for ages...so yeah, I think I will buy another game 😅
I just beat Elderand and Blasphemous, working on Blasphemous 2, I also have Deaths Gambit to play after. Still want to buy The Last Faith and Salt and Sacrifice games.
I remember not liking Moonlighter my first time around. Second time around, I beat the game and had a BLAST! And YES Deadcraft is a must buy in my books, really awesome game!
Dragons dogma been that cheap is criminal. Superb game. Full of fun and adventure. Don’t let the visuals fool you it’s just as good as top tier fantasy rpgs
I bought Sherlock Holmes the other day, not gotten found to playing it yet. I just finished Dragon's Dogma 2, I'm tempted to go back and play the original again. Hopefully 2 will get a Switch 2 port.
Recovering from an operation this week. Great time to pick up the Switch again, perfect timing with the sale and awesome that I've found this channel for suggestions. I've purchased Eastward, Inside. Considering Moonlighter and Sherlock Holmes.
I haven’t seen Ni No Kuni 2 mentioned here often. It’s not on sale right now, but it’s often. Fun fact: I probably have around 30h in, but I don’t power off the console, or shut down the game, just leave it in Sleep Mode between session. So my Save File in the game thinks I have over 500hours.
I want to add so many games in october but will have to wait for the wallet but knowing these games go on sale thanks to SwitchUp, makes me feel better. Cheers SwitchUp, you're content continues to provide a vital service I'm looking forward to the next All Patched Up by the way along with all the October- November new game reviews.
I loved Dragon's Dogma on the xbox 360! I assume the Switch version is pretty much the same. It's a game where you go on genuine adventures and the world is small enough you can actually get to know it and everything feels handcrafted. It also has a lot of systems that make it interestingly different from other RPGs of the time: Nights get actually dark and dangerous so you may want to plan your trips so you're safe when the sun goes down. You don't just slash at big monsters' ankles but you can climb them ala Shadow of the Colossus. There's some simple crafting but I liked how it makes various pelts and such not just trinkets to barter with but something you look for to enhance your items. The pawn system is also pretty cool (you get to create basically a bot that travels with you) and has odd story implications. Some side quests get a little "anime" but all in all, it's a grand game. For a fiver, that's a no-brainer.
I've been playing Working 80hrs A Week lately as my main game 😓 Own many of these already and paid full price for em so they're great deals for those who don't yet have em. Deadcraft has been on my radar though and that price is finally worth considering. Stop by the old US sometime Mark we'll take you out to go watch a real football game, go to the shooting range, let you drive a big v8 SUV, and pet my bald eagle 😂
Ive spent most of my day watching my 7 yesr old daughter play Princess Peach: Showtime! What a lovely looking game! Highly recomend it for the kiddies. It helps that a friend lent it to us 😃
In Australia, our saveloy is the Bunnings Sausage Sizzle (or Hammerbarn for Bluey fans). Charities and sports clubs cook 'em up outside Bunnings on a sunday to raise money.
Few years back I remember laughing at my friend who bought games on steam and half of them weren't even opened. Now I know this feeling very well and we both are stuck but I am on switch. Thanks SwitchUp :D
Some nice deals! I still haven't ground through the roguelikes I picked up a while back, but I got No Man's Sky during the last sale and boy howdy it has sucked me in! And with Terraria coming my way this week, I'll never need to leave the house again!
I just beat Nier: Automata. On PC, mind you, but if the Switch version runs even half as well, it's worth giving that game a go. It does some things i've never seen a game do before. It also gives an entirely new meaning to the term "Hack and Slash". Go in blind and don't give up!
The people subscribed to your channel (including me) should open a channel dedicated to playing through all the savaloys you recommend just to make sure we don't waste our money 😂

Finishing my backlog is going.. well, backwards. finished one game, bought two more.
After escaping adding any games to my backlog for the last 2 weeks this week I have added 4 haha, thanks switch up it strangely feels better adding to my backlog than not....😂
I bought Souldiers somewhat more than a week ago. Damn that game is still broken, I do not recommend people to purchase this game. It’s not even the PS1 relatable loadingtimes, but the amount of software errors this game produces. Even after restarting the Switch and re-installing the software(after restart), it still produces a ton of software errors upon mostly saving the game. The fact that this game deals with save points and doesn’t have a ‘soft save’ ability, means that you have to do everything over and over again.
Hogwarts looks incredible to me but then again I grew up on ps1/gameboy/atari graphics so I guess I'm more forgiving than modern gamers where photorealism is expected moreso.
They keep dropping Hogwarts Legacy like this it'll be in your savaloy selection in the next few months. It's a great time, I'm admittedly a massive potterhead but it's just a great game in its own right.

My daughter is two months old and we use the Moonlighter music for her bath time, it's just so relaxing!
This is awesome 😊
This is lovely! I use videogames music to put my daughter asleep too ❤ mostly Final Fantasy though
Ah this is awesome
Ah yes, the week can end now 🙃 Dragon's Dogma is really a great game, truly unique tbh I can't remember playing anything even similar.
Hehehe yeah it’s quality mate!

Obligatory "get Dragon's Dogma, it's fantastic" comment! But seriously, I mean it, the game rules!
Yeah it’s a great game
Didn't like how it never tells you where to go / find people for quests
I picked up Fragrant Story for £1.75 a tactics RPG which wears it's FfTactics influences on it's sleeve. Great game and the developer works as non profit. Highly recommended!
I have been thinking bought getting that game love tactics !
@@MonZterbacklog best pick it up quick only on sale another day or so
Never seen this one before, just picked it up, thanks for the recommendation 😊
7:16 - Don't worry Mark, not even us Brits pronounce it as "Dragon Ball ZED" 😁
I wonder will my week ever end without money exiting my bank account and entering my switch 😅
Crime o clock and invisible inc are also amazing deals right now! 5 bucks each!
Eiyuden Chronicles and Dragon's dogma... Why are the longest games always the most tempting? 😭
At this point, they may as well just make the sale price for Dragons Dogma the normal price
True that
playing bloomtown right now, 25 ish hours in loving so far, its hella charming
