Great job on a great tune by one of my favorite songwriters. RIP John... I was lucky to share a few beers with John back in 1981 at The Saddle Rack in San Jose, CA. We were at a Doc Watson show there... He sat next to me. When I heard that voiice ask for a beer, I looked over... I said, "Hey man, you look just like John Prine!" he said, " Thank God, that's my name...!" We chated it up and laughed. Then he said, I got go up and play with Doc... Can't remember how many times I saw him. Play all his music live when ever it fits. Which is a lot. Good band there guys.
He’s morphed so much- but hey if Prine picks ya to open, cuz he likes yer writing- It’s a career changer- just rode w/ Langhorne as he did this. If Prine digs you- you become relevant and gain a lotta fans. Let’s add 2 of the best Dave Rawlings and Gillian use “Method Acting” that’s another huge feather in yer cap. It’s fun to watch musicians discover other musicians
Rawlings played on Cassadaga (make a plan, classic cars, and I must belong somewhere) and Gillian sang on Classic Cars from Cassadaga. He was 27 at the time. Pretty amazing.
miwi la lupa, unsure of spelling. most recently toured with oberst on the ruminations tour. was signed to team love records a while back, he put out at least one album. oberst was on a track or two. here's one: ruclips.net/video/i9Rd4Uzux00/видео.html

Such an underappreciated song. Great cover too. RIP John.
Rest easy John Prine, seeing my favourite singer/songwriter sing his songs are amazing ! Immortalized.

When I first got into the debut John Prine record, this song stuck out to me as very Conor/Bright Eyes. So satisfying to find out he covered it.
