Jon!!! Wow, so good to see you, man. Came across your channel while looking for advanced automation workflows for long continuous timelines -- like mixing a live concert where the whole 3hr show exists on the same timeline and each song needs its own very detailed automated mix. I started thinking if I could "lock" a song selection on the timeline, regardless of playhead position, then I'd be able to do my usual "write to start/end" without destroying the automation in other songs on the timeline. Looked into Dynamic Transport but haven't exactly found a workflow that seems right yet. So anywho, this comment is mostly to say a) "long time no see!" and great videos here man!; and also b) maybe do a video on best automation practices for super long timelines like concerts and films? 🤷🏻‍♂ Thanks man!

Hello Jon, great series. Not sure if you've covered this. I'm working on a session we recorded at a larger studio which had three eight channel interfaces and many aux tracks which were sent to analog reverbs, delays etc. and back in. I'm trying to figuring out the mapping for the sends to aux tracks / buses which were all renamed to the analog gear at that studio which i'll not be returning to (I guess those are all output buses 3/4 thru 31/32). Should I delete all those send tracks and start fresh? when I try to create a new aux send in the box? The only available (Internal) bus options appear to be 1/2 I created new bus paths but they don't appear in the send pull down menu. A video that explains this routing would be very helpful to many of us who take projects home to work on. Thank You.

Perhaps a deeper dive into Dolby Atmos, particularly aux/buss I/O creation & labeling, as channel order (crossover assignments) differ between the Renderer, Pro Tools ("Film" vs. "SMPTE), monitor controllers (e.g. Dangerous ST/SR3)... Also working with Beds in rooms with larger monitor configs (beyond 7.1.2).

Please make a video on how to mix a film scoring project with dialgues, fx & music tracks in 5.1 on a stereo system with two speakers or with just a pair of headphones.

For me right now not necessarily a Pro Tools feature but I’ve been desperately trying to increase my workflow and move back to Pro Tools. What are your thoughts on Soundflow?

I have not played with Soundflow yet but what little I do know it looks quite powerful!

Ok, cool. Good suggestion. Might take me a minute to do this one. I need to round up some multi-channel field recorder files. Anything in particular about this function and/or workflow you're looking for?
