Patton Oswalt is just a genuinely deep individual. Funny as hell and bordering on comedically broad sometimes, but every once and a while he reminds you that he's been paying attention to every little artistic, psychological, and philosophical detail of what he's just done (or witnessed or learned about) and is analyzing the shit out of it all to digest into more comedy and wisdom. He's becoming almost annoyingly wise.
