Alisa Weilerstein told --- When she was an early teenager, she heard this song for the first time at the cello school, she felt fate. I think it's true as long as I listen to this performance. In this performance, the fate that Alisa Weilerstein saw appears to be unquestionably form. I touched the Alisa's fate, and saw a deep infinite abyss.
I like her style a lot more than Starker and Ma in the beginning, but I really truly believe that Starker does a much better job during the double-stop section of the piece... its divine
Very precise and very emotional. What a moving performance. However... in some sections, there could be a little more rhythmical precision (like the 16th-dotted 8th G-Eflat), and that would make it sound even more musical. :)
Don't act as if you would know anything about playing the Cello. What about the bow hold? Its up to her as long as she plays it beautifully - there is no perfect way of holding the bow, there are only different schools of holding the bow because everyone IS different. Alisa Weilersteins version of kodalys Cello sonata is one of the best which I do know ( except Inbal Segev version maybe). The part beginning from 6:30 show how much skills she has - I dont know any other cellist which plays this part so clearly and in tone like she does. Just let it be if you have NO clue.
I just watched janos starker and yo yo ma play the same piece and i truly believe she puts more emotion and feeling into it than they do. Well done!
What an extraordinarily beautiful sound she creates. Love her!
I love the way she plays this. FREAKING AMAAAAAAAZING!!!!!!!!!
happymargarets more rhapsodic & emotional than others....absolutely gorgious
Bravo, super.great expressionist work, played by an impressionist musician!
A masterpiece so well played, with enthusiasm and beauty and heart. Many thanks.
the best performance of koday´s sonata I´ve ever seen. great!!
Fact: I have just discovere Kodály...Thanx a million !
I come hear often, just to remember what the cello can sound like...
That is about passion and the bearing of her soul.
Beautiful!

Do you have the other movements? Please upload them!!!
I like her nails!
Her bow hold is like a bear claw... also the beginning sounds like a slippery fish.
