Nope. People don't turbo mash skip through dialogues because of lack of animation. They do it cause they don't wanna sit through text walls. Making more animations doesn't suddenly eliminate the text walls that people are gonna skip through . You're basically saying they should put in more work for something most people are still gonna skip through anyway. That's just a waste of time and resources that could be put towards something actually meaningful that impacts everybody, instead of something that only impacts like 10% of players.
Itto is already immensely entertaining to watch and listen to, but the fan animation made him even better! This was AWESOME! (It even emphasized Yelan’s condescension that I didn’t really like to see/hear in the original scene-I just don’t like seeing people have attitudes when being patient and accommodating could probably actually solve the issue at hand). This was super well done! Love it! It would be so cool if you could animate other scenes that were meant to be more expressive; one that immediately comes to mind was the small birthday scene for Xinyan’s part of the summer event. Pleaseeee consider 🙏
I was on itto and shinobu's side. Not posting signs to highly restricted areas was often ways to change the rules on the fly. Feels more like a customary rules that the locals follow but outsiders would have no clue. its no wonder the Fatui got so far into the place.
Phenomenal work. Though it would unquestionably take a hell of a lot longer, genshin's storytelling would be immeasurably improved with smoother animation like this during cutscenes.
if genshin made cutscenes like these for regular dialogues, I wouldn’t be shocked if we had to wait even longer for sumeru. Animation takes so much time, effort, money. So I understand why they aren’t doing it now. Although, if the characters had a few new animations during dialogue other than the standard ones, it’d make it a lot more interesting. Sometimes it can seem a bit lifeless, and more like a lecture than anything.
You added so much nuance just with a few head nods and camera angles! And even the bit where Shinobu takes her mask off to show a sense of urgency and sincerity was a really nice touch. Awesome work
Great animation and love the camera work! Though hope people understand the cutscene in games aren't "video clip", those are done by moving models around manually and using existing emotes in game so ofcourse it's going to be inferior and "lifeless" compared to work of talented artists like you. Keep up the great work!!!
This is so amazing I have watched it a LOT. Stuff like this would seriously liven up genshins static conversations, thank you for such a beautiful work of art
tbh this makes the cutscenes a lot cooler and not so static storage wise idk but it could be an option to download cinematic cutscenes or keep it the way it is
THE DIFFERENCE IS HUGE. LIKE YOURS IS SO MUCH BETTER, when Itto was pissed you gave him that expression he was lacking, and everything is just better, thank you for this one
Very rough animation, but it does bring up a good point. Mihoyo makes so much money now that they definitely have the resources to custom curate more cutscenes instead of using canned animations. Case in point, Final Fantasy XIV has been growing in popularity and the team added far more custom animations and expressions to cutscenes in Endwalker than they have for any other expansion thus far. This is due in part to optimization and them getting more and more used to dealing with the spaghetti code of their game engine, as well as receiving more resources to allocate. The cutscenes in Endwalker are consequently filled with more life than any Genshin cutscene, at this point.
So… when is Hoyoverse going to hire you? Your version is literally 100% more better and cinematic than the left version. And if they ever do, $100/hour should be a fair pay :D
YESSS this is amazing! I just finished this mission and the entire time the voice actors are acting their hearts out and the cut scene itself is just so... Rigid and motionless 🥲 even in the "poses"/"expressions" the characters can make when using the in-game camera are so wooden!
I think that, while obviously I love your work and know that it's better, it's just unfortunate that we can't logistically have things ever be as high quality as this for most cutscenes. Hoyoverse is improving a bit and is taking some steps to make things transition better and have more dynamic camera angles, but my biggest gripe with them is that they don't have an idle stance/pose unique to each character for the sake of making them feel less awkward when standing around talking. Just using occasional mo-cap, some more subtle eye movement and expression, and a different/larger pool of idle animations would do some SERIOUS wonders for the production quality.
who woulda thought a tediously and time insensitive hand animated cut scene would look better than the puppet pre loaded animation scene. of course the game would look better if this were the quality we had, but we also complain about storage size all the time and stuff like this would take up even more. not to mention, doing this for every scene in the game including each story quest, archon quest, world quest, hangout event, etc would take forever, even with a larger team working on it. realistically it doesn't make sense to do this for every scene. as cool as it would be and as immersive as it would make it, it's just impractical from a production standpoint.
Do u want storage become bigger? Use brain if they animated this every damn dialogue is gonna take a long damn time Basically update gonna become even slower 🤦 The only way they can make character interaction a little bit better is by making them more emotion on the face, kinda like star rail
Maybe not animation all of cutscene each, but they really need to give characters some new basic animations and expressions. Because it's been 2 years and character still use like same 5 animations. And I don't know, why they don't use emotions and animations from "dates"?
i love how much emotion there is! of course there are some scenes they cant animate fully for time, but it can be a bit boring sometimes. 2:51 i love how paimon hides behind aether here lol. so cute!
For real guys, HYV actually able to make high quality of animation in every dialogues of stories. But they didnt. there are too many emotions in the fan room. Yelan is a professional in his field, and this is emphasized by the in-game video. and in the Fan, she is too emotional and brazenly behaves. Itto in the game, despite the apparent bravado, is more restrained in the external manifestation of emotions than you might think, he has false emotions. With the camera, the same is not so smooth, in the fan more emphasis is placed on the characters with their obvious physical manifestations of emotions, while in the game this is not observed. Emotions in the game itself in physical manifestation are more noticeable among the inhabitants of Mornstadt, this is explained by the cultural characteristics and the inner maturity of the characters.

They can do it, but in form of pre-rendered cutscene, and take quite of chunk storage space instead.
mmh exactly, people are complaining why we don't have cutscenes like this but it's a mobile game, which already takes up alot of space in itself just with the map
@@tohru-adachi-true-legit-real i agree, if it wasn't a mobile game in the first place... Don't get me wrong, i can see that mobile games make up most of the revenue than PC and console games, but still a lot people complained of lags, crashes, gameplay controls (i.e. aiming) and storage. Not just top up, you'll spend more money buying a new phone just to play Genshin
Not an excuse to shit up console and PC for just one platform
@@absolutelyunepic3072 Mobile makes up alot of their revenue, so they woulf obviously want to keep that for as long as possible. Yeah it sucks for console and pc players, but even then some pc players still have some of the mobile limitations with storage.
@@absolutelyunepic3072
Money is a excuse .
I would actually have the motivation to do all these quests if in-game cutscenes are like these ngl
if the animations on the dialog scenes were just like this😔
Same
the problem is that the original is chinese so they can't really make a lip sync for many languages at ones although the body expressions can be which is why the fanmade is so much better
@@Dragonovus um what story quest is it? Can I know the name?
@@Xyren8449 it’s the chasm quest/archorn quest
@@himselfie oh I found it thx so much!
I love how the fan made was much more cinematic and detailed but I also really like the original, I think if Hoyo incorporates more animations like these I think more people would be interested in Genshin
I don’t skip through voiced quest dialogue tho
The fan animation looks much more fluid than Genshin's official animation.
The thing that kills me about genshin's cutscenes are the awkward pivots every character does
The movements on the Fanmade make it that the characters are more alive then just being in the same pose
2:52
in-game Aether: I want to know who's gonna win
Zannir's Aether : Guys chill
Amazing animation, mate
Also, just removing the little 'beep' between voice lines makes the diologue alone so much smoother
This was amazing..!!! I didn't realise how much the animation was lacking until you created this, I'm in love
You added so much nuance just with a few head nods and camera angles! And even the bit where Shinobu takes her mask off to show a sense of urgency and sincerity was a really nice touch. Awesome work
You did such a great job in expressing the emotions of the dialogue. These types of animations like yours would make the story more impactful.
Small indie companys like hoyoverse that stack no paper shoudn't be make fun off, it's not like they are swiming in money after every banner/update.
this almost feels like watching an actual anime, your animating skills are fantastic!
Man.... The fan made, it look more lively to be honest.... I wish there is more of it tho... I really enjoyed it
Great animation and love the camera work!
If only Genshin cutscenes were this expressive
tbh this makes the cutscenes a lot cooler and not so static
storage wise idk but it could be an option to download cinematic cutscenes or keep it the way it is
I love how you improved the audio ❤️ it's more immersive like that!
Itto's always at odds with a purple short-haired bow user
Well, purple....
So… when is Hoyoverse going to hire you? Your version is literally 100% more better and cinematic than the left version.
And if they ever do, $100/hour should be a fair pay :D
Nah he needs more
Like 1000/hour as it is really hard to animate and that too 3D and so realistic as well so yeah
Ahhahaha😅
100 an hour? Dayum average monthly salary in my city is 300
@@ZannirYT bro hoyoverse really needs to hire you ur animations give life to characters and they look amazing
YESSS this is amazing! I just finished this mission and the entire time the voice actors are acting their hearts out and the cut scene itself is just so... Rigid and motionless 🥲 even in the "poses"/"expressions" the characters can make when using the in-game camera are so wooden!
ABHHH YOUR FAN ANIMATION IS INCREDIBLE!! the quirks and personality in each characters movements really lacks in genshin so seeing it here is amazing
Why can't genshin cutscenes be like this it's not even that hard
Do u want storage become bigger? Use brain if they animated this every damn dialogue is gonna take a long damn time
Basically update gonna become even slower 🤦
The only way they can make character interaction a little bit better is by making them more emotion on the face, kinda like star rail
*probably never animated even a flying bird in life* :- "iTs nOt evEN tHaT hArD"
Would like to see you try
Maybe not animation all of cutscene each, but they really need to give characters some new basic animations and expressions. Because it's been 2 years and character still use like same 5 animations. And I don't know, why they don't use emotions and animations from "dates"?
i love how much emotion there is! of course there are some scenes they cant animate fully for time, but it can be a bit boring sometimes. 2:51 i love how paimon hides behind aether here lol. so cute!
For real guys, HYV actually able to make high quality of animation in every dialogues of stories. But they didnt. Considering amount of time and effort to do, also the SIZE that players always complain, they consider about the efficientcy and only put the animation in crucial part of story. Thats why we only see "cut scene" at climax
Thats why we all here to enjoy the effortfull animation of unanimated part of story in genshin
As always, Thanks for your video(s)! because it's to good, ppl want you to be hired by HYV 😄
Agree
indeed
this is what i thought
they just need to put more gestures to chara thats involves in story quest. Since they always rush players with time attack events and resin cap, their worker too are rushed to finish their work and deliver subpar quality.
Thats what people call karma. Bet they didnt event get to enjoy their own game.
i love thissss. ive always wondered what if the dialogue scenes were a bit more dynamic! thank you!
The fanmade animation is so good that I can feel the characters more alive. Hoyoverse disappoints me.
Don't be, Their cinematic cutscene are way more and more better than mine, I'm just the lite version 😅
@@ZannirYT Honestly considering a work this good is done by just one guy than a multi billion dollar company is already impressive enough for me. You and Monolihita are the best fanmade content creators I know!

this is so good the fighting and interactions looks so natural
this is actually so good and refreshing, although you still got room to improve your way of animating the character's movements but the quality is so damn good, even the lips syncing to the voices is already good enough
If subtle movement and cinematic cuts like these were in the game, you can bet I'd pay attention more and not always nod off.
I only paid attention to these scenes when a character I like is involved
Zannir, I'm sure about this: Genshin Impact in-game cutscenes will be very greater and wonderfully awesome if miHoYo hires you.
I know the MMD animation system is different from the animation system miHoYo uses, but this comparison video just shows that the game could be very immersive, more than it already is now.
I'm already one of your numerous fans, and to be honest, I'm watching your fan animation cutscene at least 5 times per day.

another point of view
This is pretty good sensei, furthermore, you have inspired me to become a better animator than you.
I liked them all so much already, but I love how dynamic and expressive you made them. Wonderful job.
there are too many emotions in the fan room.
I’m really surprised stuff like this isn’t a more popular thing. Obviously it’s totally understandable that the developers don’t have the time to animate every single interaction by hand with unique poses. But the potential has always been there. Thank you for bringing this beauty into existence.
Also, excellent choice on this scene in particular. You really made sure to pick a moment with a lot of personality to work with. I love this.
The animation was amazing the amount of emotion put into the characters was astonishing
i’m in love with your animations… seriously, there are a lot of such animations but they are sharp(?). there i didn’t feel discomfort
THIS IS SO GOOD?? it has so much more life😭😭 i completely understand why they wouldn’t add scenes like this but god it’s good to see it
This makes the game so much more immersive and engaging. I wish all important scenes had such animations.
dude i've always want better diolouge scence this is perfect
God you went so hard on itto’s expressions and movement god dang
Maaaaaaaaaaaan This *ducking* ROCKS! SO DETAILED! SO MUCH QUALITY! uf.
I love your version of it so much. It definitely gives them more life in this scene. I understand Hoyoverse do what they do to save space but I'm glad fan animations like this exist so we can see how these scenes are probably actually playing out in universe.
Damn this is sooooo great you deserve more mann
Loved the fan animation.
It was magnificent in every aspect.
I really like this the little movements the flaring auras it adds a new spin on things
I know Hoyoverse can't always make cutscenes like these because of too much time and money but OMG this animation is so good, i could watch all these animations all the time on all every single cutscenes. The movements, lip syncs, facial expressions, textures, all perfect !!! Hoyoverse should hire you !
DUDE. I recently finished the perilous trial and DAMMNN. That animation is SWEET.
I NEED CINEMATICS LIKE THIS! OMFG YOU ARE SO GOOD AT THIS!
Wait..did no one else notice Kuki without her mask?-
They can't do that to save space, by the time the last region is out the game would've been 999GB size otherwise. It's the same reason for timed-locked events and some cinematics only appearing in trailer. The rest is just recicled movements to save space, and it still comes out good enough.
This is sooo much better than the official one. It looks very entertaining without the reused animations.. Great job!👏
i love itto so fucking much, god the animation looks FANTASTIC. they captured the expressions perfectly fitting all characters
Absolutely beautiful, the work in this animation is quite smooth! You can see that care was put into it! This is something a certain incompetent company would be jealous of.
This is SO AMAZING. IF ONLY THIS WAS IN GAME. Amazing job!
holy shit this is so good
I almost wish I hadn't seen this because now I'm going to wish every genshin dialogue scene was done by you. My standards are too high this is soo good
They would be dead by the time they finish everything . This type of animation take like 3 day because it a unique animation and this is like 0.1% of the entire quest and that only 1 quest btw.
this is amazing! great work, i especially loved the expressions and gestures you added, they made this scene so cinematic! Love it, thanks for your work
I guess the title and the comparison is the reason for the popularity and this vid got recommended to my feed

This is sooooo good!!! Even the camera work you did,by itself, is more interesting and entertaining than the original.
Oohh i really like the fanmade. Unlike the other 3d fanmade animations i see where the clothes and hair just jump all over and the shading being too harsh, this is is just really well done, also the cinematography is just on point. Kudos

I think I know there is why they are not making the animation like the cutscene because it will be not a good experience if they are like stop talking if you not clicking versus make it automatically playing the dialogues. By the way, your animation is so smooth and on the point. Loved it
The transition from the fan animation to the offical cutscene is just wow
