Still for me one of GBs greatest sporting moments. The shootout is a superb example of sports psychology, Maddie Hinch did her homework on every player and it paid off, did it ever. But.... the team fought tooth and nail to get to that point. I was bouncing round the room!

Well done England. I want thank the volunteers helping out at Brum University today. My daughter lost her iPhone and, thanks to them and a very honest person in the crowd, the phone was returned to use 20mins after the match had finished. Than you Birmingham.

The ref considered the Dutch goalkeeper had intentionally tackled the British player as the ball was out of her reach awarding a penalty stroke. That type of penalty is taken from closer to the goal and the keeper can't move until the ball is hit, similar to a football penalty. All the other penalties were taken from the penalty line and both shooter and keeper can move as soon as the ref whistles, there is then only 8 seconds for the player to score or not. Nobody can choose this as an option. Strictly up to the ref.
