Welcome to our in-depth review of the Valk3 Elite M, the long-awaited 2019 flagship by QiYi. Weighing in at only 76g, this puzzle features a unique 96-magnet positioning system (with magnetic center caps) and interchangeable springs. These features give the Elite nice, refreshing levels of customizability. Our testers were big fans of the cube’s smooth and cohesive feel and light weight despite the addition of new features. The community waited a long time for this puzzle, and we’re happy to see QiYi finally release it.

That dude Sean Villanueva is unbelievable in M Slices when I judged him once. I hope that the Valk 3 Elite M will be good enough to be his new main and other cubers too!

Honestly this cube seems amazing but I love my xs so much. Just so light and fast with tension 2, spring 4, and middle magnets

@@Confluxi i have gan x but i feel the valk locks up too hard in precious moments whereas the gan is way more forgiving and with enough force gives you that free feeling

A piece of advice from me is to allow a sound-sample while describing the feel and/or sound of the cube.
This is my main speedcube, hopefully i'm not alone in saying that

New cuber here. I can solve a 2x2 everttime and im nearly off by heart with beginner 3x3 algorithm. What is the quietest 2x2 and 3x3 if nothing else matters. Thank you guys in advance.

What I don’t understand is what’s the point of the nuts if you still have to deal with the screws?
The nuts essentially give you different spring compressions. Like on the WR M, there are still screws to adjust tension, even after you have set the spring compression. This is the same thing, just slightly more convoluted.
It is basically spring swapping. the spring determine how easy for the pieces to move around, but does not effect how much the cube can corner cut. The stronger spring will cause the cube to become more controllable as the piece will have more difficult time to move, while weaker spring will make it less controllable, but faster as the pieces move more easily.
Initial thoughts:

R U R' U' Cuber umm, i just ordered the valk so ill probably Get it by friday, but im not really a huge fan of the gan xs. Sure its Nice but its not really that premium feeling. That makes it worth the money. If i were you i would order the valk elite 3 with the angstrom gravitas and dignitas, DNM 37 and cubicle black. Put the green springs in and red/clear magnets. This should make for an insanely good cube, which is what im currently doing.

The only thing keeping me from getting this is the fact that there are more springs to keep track of, other wise I would get it. We need a good flagship without fancy tensioning systems.
I would say the TengYun is carrying that torch fairly well.
Cubeologist yeah I have a TengYun except one of the corner pieces broke and it’s too fast. I used it for a while until the corner broke and it became really... springy? Like the cube was so fast and I used it so much that it got to the point that the cube felt really loose, even though the tensions were fine.

Not good for its price because
1.easily breakable
2.conner parts can pop out while solving(not the entire thing)
3. There are better cheaper option such as rs3m 2020
