What a relief to see youre feeling better. That mustve been scary for you (and Simon!). I cant believe you took the time to vlog! 😮 ❤ that’s so above and beyond! Xoxo
People don't talk about how it can be very hard on you when you're taking mounjaro or the like.. you really really have to plan out your meals and drinks to make sure that you're getting what you need, because otherwise the feeling just isn't there that strong to do it. I wish you well and hope you don't have any more issues. Hope Christmas was nice!
When I was on Ozempic, I had to do blood tests, weekly weigh ins, a food diary (which I thought was pointless but actually proved to be most helpful). I utilised a nutritionist, GP consults and Registered Nurse consults. It wasn't a "jab and forget it" or an easy way to lose weight. The whole journey you go on (when you do it properly) is under-represented in the media.
oh, gosh I've not been around for soooo long ~ I feel I am such a part of your life and so I do believe I'm here tosnd thoughts and prayers for your healing. Take care my dear -- haha - the next day and your musical talking is so cheerful -- I've my two rhinestone rocks right by my side. I love the color of the mug, a very soft blue. How thoughtful and so you that mug. ~ take care sweetheart. From across the pond though distance doesn't get in the way of the bond of friendship that comes from the spirit ~ 😂😂😂😂"why your talking about wind" it's great to hear Simon. Glad to hear you looked up info for the gut. ya know they call the gut "the second brain" the head brain communicates back n forth. Hey, I've such a bloated stomach - for years. Well, my dear - so great to see you and hear you. Have a very ׺°”˜`”°º× 🎀 𝐻𝒜𝒫𝒫𝒴 𝒩𝐸𝒲 𝒴𝐸𝒜𝑅 🎀 ׺°”`˜”°º×
Vertigo is well worth a watch Georgina, one of his best. Glad you’re on the mend. You’ve been awesome with Vlogmas btw, you should be really proud of the content and your commitment to it and your viewers ❤
my mum was on mounjaro, once she got her injections increased , she was dehydrated and had nausea , vomiting, diarrhoea. she spent 2 days in hospital. i’d keep an eye on it
Georgina never stop talking about your windy tummy! We love you for your down to earth nature and genuine outlook/recount of daily life. And i’m sure others are appreciating the updates on Mounjaro in case there is any connection. Hope you’re on the mend! ❤
Happy to hear you are back on track. 😂😂 simon has great wit & sarcasm. He should really think about doing a page about his antiques , is there a link for his products. Its interesting how your page has evolved, i started watching your music reviews but at this stage its more about you and your life the everyday. Now its like just catching up with a friend. Ive really enjoyed the blogmass. Wishing you, simon & liz a happy new year. ❤
your symptoms are exactly the same as my friend after a dose increase there was vomiting, stomachache and, dehydration with a trip to the hospital. The only other thing I can think of is the prawns ??
Oh so glad to see you are on the mend Georgina and really hope you can have a good couple of days rest now. I think you’re marvellous how you just keep on going no matter what gets thrown at you however I might be out of order saying the next things but it’s just what I see and feel about you so I’m hoping you don’t take offence and I probably could have private messaged you but to be honest I’d like certain people to read this in hoping that they might see things differently so here goes….. As a wife and mum of 2 grown up daughters I know that life is not always straight forward, there are always bumps along the way be it from what’s happening in our own life or our children’s and we try and juggle a lot, our children eventually leave home and we still try and juggle everything ! I personally think as mums we are seen as the back bone of families therefore we just keep on going no matter how we feel and we end up being everything to everybody and do things to please everyone else even if we feel we don’t want to ( including husbands/ partners, family and friends) This can lead to mental and physical burn out and depending on the person we are anxiety can effect us, I for one have suffered with this and I still take medication after 20 years of having it. I did see a counsellor and what she told me was very interesting and very true and I just wanted to share this with you as I would most definitely say this is what I see when I see and hear you. She said on a scale of 1 to 10 where would I be, being that 10 is I think about myself and put myself first, I said maybe a 5, she said no, I’m not even on the scale because I’m zero ! I learnt a lot from what she said and it helped me to look at things differently. Don’t get me wrong I have a loving family and feel loved , like you we have all been tested with how we handle what is thrown at us, I am fighting stage 4 bowel cancer , this has effected us all and still does but I live my life to the full now, I still consider others and wear my heart on my sleeve but I take better care of myself ( apart from cancer 😬) and do things that please me , Cancer has made me look at that scale again and I’m definitely nearer to the top now😊 Georgina, you have dealt with the most horrible life experience, the loss of your beautiful daughter makes me feel very grateful that although I have Cancer, my 2 daughters are still here. You have got on with life and people will say you should, however I see and hear your grief always. On days where grief hits you hard you still continue , you work, you shop, you cook and I really don’t think the ones near to you even notice, all I see is a mother/ partner who wants a big hug and to be told it’s ok to feel like you do instead of you trying to hold your grief in so you can just continue with what you normally do. You tend to have the same routines in your life and I’m so glad that your own personal hobby of crochet is something just for you. I know you are not alone physically, you have Liz and Simon, both sound genuinely lovely but I think they depend on you a lot too. I’d love to see you have a week of not food shopping or cooking, for you to sit down and have a meal cooked ( I know Simon does cook )but more often than not it’s you cooking the main meals of the day. On a Sunday Simon could surprise you and do something different than your normal routine. You said in one of your blogs that you sometimes feel isolated and I see that too. I know it’s a long post but without just making a comment about taking care of yourself more I felt I had to fully explain. I really hope that 2025 will be a good year for you Georgina, you absolutely deserve it to be but please look after yourself more 💝 P.S …. I’m a Yorkshire lass and know us women are very strong 💪🏼 xx
January window display idea: Hawaiian or tropical beach theme. Seasonally unexpected perhaps, but it may catch a few eyes. Who says you can't take a crochet blanket to the beach or rock a stylish crochet bikini top while playing tunes on a ukulele?
You are a smart woman to say I am very ill & I need help. You are going to be very blah for a bit, but each day you are sounding much better. Take care and don’t overdo. Crochet is just the thing, don’t you think? Patty🇺🇸🤒
OMG!! You can really see the weight loss in your face!! I know it doesn’t all really count when you are ill, but still!!😀. Be sure you are eating and drinking to get stronger….Patty
I’m nearly finished so early next week. Drop me a message on Instagram or email and I can let you know when it’s done if you like. It will be lap blanket size.
It sounds like norovirus which is really contagious and rife at the moment. Get lots of rest, lots of fluids etc. someone might’ve passed it on in the shop. Take care x❤
Sounds like this bug is transatlantic. I've been on the same trajectory, same symptoms. Day 12 now, I'm on the upswing but totally exhausted. Treat yourself well in case it comes back again.
I am wondering if you may have picked up Norovirus due to your symptoms. I think I had it a few years back, where I had bad stomach pains, different to normal stomach pains and was on the throne (Loo) about 12 times.! I was weak and drained. Thankfully I wasn't tom dick (sick). But I took Imodium in the end and it did stop it thankfully So wishing you a speedy recovery. ❤ xx
Sounds like you copped a very nasty stomach flu, like Norovirus. The Montjaro probably made things a bit worse as you don't feel like drinking anyway with a tummy bug and an appetite suppressant would not be helpful I would think. Hopefully all will settle down nice and quick. Gaviscon is actually better than Rennes for reflux acid that comes up from your stomach. I would advise you to tell your doctor about it.. The Oesophagus is not designed to have stomach acid in it and it can be damaged if your not careful. 🥰
*****Rule of thumb: Drink half your body weight in ounces. Example: if you are 160 pounds, drink 80 ounces of pure non-flavored water per day. When you're sick, it's even more important. Wishing you heath and good vibes for 2025, love the channel!
weight loss jab has exactly those side effects plus serious long term effects...I think I'd be finding something less risky. Slim with long term harm isn't a great idea. Be well x
I’ve gained 3 pounds in the past couple of weeks. Boo. I’m hoping to get back on track with healthy eating, that would be whole real food, nuts, fruit and vegetables. Btw, just so you know, processed vegetarian food isn’t actually healthy. Real food is healthiest. Good you are eating some nutrients with your veggies. I will be trying to get back to that. Xmas eating has done me in.
Oh you poor thing, I hope you feel better soon. That is an actual thing about being well and then getting sick when its time for a holiday. At a physical level what it is, is that we usually dont get sick when we are in stress mode, go go go, then when we have space and time to relax our body goes, right then, we are going to do some repair and all the energy goes to repairing and you're sort of forced to rest. I got sick Christmas night, I suddenly had the sorest throat, I thought perhaps it was my dairy intolerance and eating cream, and I was so tired in my joints. Took a few days to come right, even though I didnt really have a cold. But I was forced to take it easy.
So glad you are on track to feeling well💕💕💕

You have been in the wars, as mums used to say! I hope you recover speedily and start '25 feeling like yourself.
Do take good care of yourself ❤️🩹❤ Glad you feeling better🥰

how can they say its not the Maunjaro, Georgina. be careful. they should NOT dismiss it? take good care x
They didnt dismiss it but said most likely not

Vertigo is a great film
So glad you're looking so much better than you were. Do you have any idea when the purple/pink rug will be for sale, it's fab!

Norovirus is bloody awful. I've been sick all Christmas so a bit fed up! Not much you can do but try and drink water and rest. Feel better soon.

That is exactly what it felt like!
It was the mounjouro same happened to me. Especially with the sulphur burps. Take electrolytes
The film Vertigo really is a must-see in my opinion. Did Simon like it much?
Ooh I’ll ask
Garnet theme for Jan?
