Haven't seen this in years. I miss this show.
Thanks for posting this. That's 10 minutes of my youth I never thought I'd see again.
It amazes me that Hugh Dennis was only 29 or 30 in this. My sister and I were recently discussing how he hasn't really aged in the past 20 years. Because he always looked middle-aged.
love that theme tune!
My mates and I would watch an episode on BBC 2 then recreate the sketches at school the next day. So funny!!!
One of the best shows ever!
I used top watch it all the time when I was a teen.
This is Season 2 Episode 2. Originally broadcast on Monday 9th March 1992 but repeated on Tuesday 1st September 1992.
GREAT POSTING, THANKS!!!
Absolutely brilliant, these guys were like, the Primal Scream of comedy.. so cool and inspiring it actually made your soul ache with the exhaustion of loving them so much... comedy (and music) is just not in the same league now.. I wonder how it would be if they got back together for a series, unlikely I know, but we can dream :-)
I'd sell my husband for the DVD of this show...I love it x
Instablaster...
i used to listen to this religiously when it was on radio 1...on a friday night.
Completely forgot aabout this wonderful show....ahhh the memories.
Great thanks.
Why doesn't Hugh Dennis look any older? Was he just born at age 30 and stayed that way?
yeh me too I think this was the only TV show me and my whole family actually sat in 1 room to watch.
Awwww look how fresh-faced and youthful they all look!
Funkiest theme tune ever. Re-working of 'Jack to the Sound of the Underground' by Hithouse. Old dutch house tune :)
yeah, I'm with shellycoat. I love you too. Especially cos this clip includes the full intro sequence!
Ooo wee! You bugger!
I loved this when I was young. Hold on, I'm still young...
I used to watch this when I was 14 do funny 😄 😆
The Boy looked at Mark experience is the best bit.
Steve Dennis also works on Mock The Week as well.
Be nice to get a DVD release of this, Newman and Baddiel In Pieces, and the Punt and Dennis Show.
I'll have the one that looks like Peter Beardsley.
Mary Whitehouse....haha Charade you are!!
This was a lot funnier when I was 13.
lovely, milky milky 😁
Well it would be, it was a topical programme at the time, I mean Edward Scissorhands and Ride?
Yeah, I remember this. I was about sixteen when this was on the telly, and it was must see viewing; pity the poor losers whose parents wouldn't let them watch it. The weird thing is, even then I thought a lot of it was pretty juvenile, and poorly written. I remember sneering at one episode in particular when 70% of the show seemed to be Newman and Baddiel introducing a new subject, and then saying "That's bollocks!" Not exactly "Fawlty Towers" is it......?
talk about a game of two halves!
There you go, then. Not sure I have the wherewithall to respond to such a witty riposte. Guess you showed me....
ahh hugh dennis doing rugby :D
Me too
Even Steve and Hugh? I mean they still do the Now Show.
How crazy?
Sounds more like Rozz Williams than Robert Smith.
Yeah, I used to love it. Seems rather dated.
@benrsmith31077 I wouldn't have thought he had a say in it. Anti-capitalist? I thought he was just an eco-warrior.
There's never a better tikme to visit Iraq now then. Lol.
Apparently not all British humour is clever
I remember this being soooo funny and clever...on second viewing, though, its just juvenile crap!
As is most 6th form/university left wing originated comedy.
It's called teenage angst and most people grow up, out of it. The lunatics stay with it.
So hip and cool at the time. Now seems very dated.
David Baddiel was really hot back then!
Christ, that show seemed so funny in 1992, and now it's shit.
Was this supposed to be funny?
It was.
Punt & Dennis were bloody awful. Their input was obvious, based on untruths and consisted on flogging an idea to death.
