    I almost always discard wheel pants exception the Eflite Valiant. There is one of these available at a good price a little over 100 miles away. Thinking about buying it.

    I found their recommended cg was too far aft. Corrected that, and it is fun to fly.

    I've crashed like three planes before I figured out that I just couldn't tell which way the plane was facing once it got a certain distance from me. I got a foamy and fly it in close.

    Are you saying your Grass got the Crabs? I watched another RC vlog and he had one plane with small tires and one plane with big tires. The small tires wouldn't roll in the Grass but the big tires would.

      Yeah planes are very limiting on where you can fly them, but they are a blast to fly!

      Not true. You can fly this bird in a baseball field. After a few flights, she became an amazing plane to fly. Add Flaparons and you'll be ok

    Can it hover / harrier / rolling harrier? Does it have enough power / control for that?

  • @scottfirman

    I would have watched them fall off out in tall grass. I still have a prop nose cone somewhere out in my flying field. Black is the worse color to try and find in grass. I painted my new one red,never lost it again. actually,I havent crashed in a long time. I just ordered the batterys for my Dynam Waco Biplane, unfortunately winter has returned to Northern Michigan again. Funny thing is,after it melts,the grass will be green and growing. Good fair review of this plane. I have decided to change the color of my older Apprentice,since I am hoping to get another person flying it, I dont want two identical planes in the air at the same time. I figure about 10 minutes fly time on agressive flying time. every plane is different. I didnt like watching eather Abby,drives my eyes crazy. Good flight!

      Yeah the weather here has been nuts! It's basically winter all over again. Can't wait till its over. Glad to hear that you've got your batteries on the way. My dad is looking at getting a Waco plane too!

      +TheRcSaylors yes,here too,we just got more snow last night. I think spring is playing a dirty trick on us this year.At least your snow doesnt stay for very long this time of year. The reviews I have gotten from others is the Waco is a bit of a pain to assemble but once its done,she is a great flyer. I am thinking I may just get different hardware,theres been a few guys stating that getting different fastners helps. I guess the earlier production cabanas were made with brittle plastic and were breaking. It sounds like they fixed that problem. I worked in plastic injection for a bit so I know that has to do with material and that changes with time. They were clearly not testing tinsel strength, Glad they fixed that problem. I am coating mine with minwax sealer as suggested by others,guess the paint wears off fairly easy. Well hopefully in a week or two this snow is gone!

      After the experience we’ve had with other planes I don’t recommend this as strongly I might have in the past. Also, we would encourage you to order your planes using our links if our videos help you. However if your hobby shop helps more than we are able to, please support them! Happy Flying! 👍😁😎⚓️

    On the Landing Gear: unlike the nice-looking Alloy gears on many models, about the only way to break that wire gear is to total it. You can expect a long life from this one if you can walk & chew gum at the same time.

    I like your review. I recently just bought this plane and my maiden did not go as expected. I had the CG roughly between the recommended 2.5-3.25 from leading edge but to me it was very pitch sensitive. I had the expo set to 30% and adjusted it to 50%. I kept full throw as ive had a 55" epp/balsa 3d plane in the past and a few other planes so I expected this to fly like that. It didnt and im still trying to figure out why. It had a tip stall tendency which i found odd and does not easily glide like ive read someone said in rcgroups. Do you keep slight throttle when landing or can you cut throttle and it will easily glide down? Where did you set the throw on your elevator? My epp plane will just get slow enough and the now still slowly drop and thats when i can control it with elevator and throttle to land, but the 2 flights Ive had with this it tip stalled on maiden and the 2nd wanted to do the same but i was able to control it but landed pretty hard.

    • @mindriddle
      @mindriddle 8 лет назад

      "nose will slowly drop"..correction :)

    • @TheRcSaylors
      @TheRcSaylors  8 лет назад

      Well I know you and most people will think I'm crazy but I don't fly with any expo at all. It just feels like I have more control that way.. I dunno. I might change my ways down the road regarding that. No, this isn't much on gliding. Not sure who that review was from, but it's not the case for me. While in the air, unless I'm nose diving out of a tall climb, I'm always under some power, 30 % or so. And when Landi g I'm under power till the last second. I can't land this by gliding in, no way. I do love how it flies though, very much. Thanks for watching!

      +TheRcSaylors so what is the throw setting that you set for your elevator? and thank you for your feedback

    • @TheRcSaylors
      @TheRcSaylors  8 лет назад

      Full throw so it flies as sensitive as possible. I like having as much control as possible over planes like this.

    • @james66872
      @james66872 8 лет назад

      The only problem I had was that the Elevator was way to sensitive. She was all over the place. But now it's my go too plane as well

      If you follow their videos you would see that he is somewhere between a novice and intermediate pilot. Never saw him fly anything remotely resembling 3D. I think that answers your question. That's why you did not get a reply from him.
