Twisted Hobbies is my “no stress” practice plane. I have an Edge 540 and the foam takes so much abuse. If something rips, Foam Tack or CA to the rescue. The cost of building one seems very high for the materials involved, but the results are actually worth it. Other planes from big manufacturers give more plane for the buck, but the relaxed experience of flying without fear of crashes balance things out. There is also some real pride in needing to build the thing.
Having an showing your Tx camera is ONE of the best reasons I watch your videos as I try to practice on the RealFlight simulator some of your stick moves BEFORE I try them in real life - Thank you SOOOO much for using this camera 😊👍👏
That's so awesome to finally see you flying Twisted Hobby foamy's since you enjoy this one I strongly recommend both there Gee Bee 3D&Crack Fokker Triplane 3D which I'm the proud owner of those and how can I forget there Edge 540 XL also there's videos of me flying them on my channel Jon they do make me look like a way better 3D pilot then I am LOL. Wonderful job on the flight I been looking at this Mad Bull or there Crack Turbo Beaver 35 for adding one of them in my hanger? Just have to save for them and keep feeding my piggy bank😂😂
GREAT video as usual Jon. I've built quite a few T.H. airplanes in the past. Just reacently completed the Blue 39" EDGE 540. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE airplane. No Gyro or SAFE needed on these airplanes. Programmed in the Flaperon / Spoileron setting for hands free Harrier flight. Like you said, they're not cheap, but worth every penny spent. The only thing I didn't like about the MAD BULL was the Elevator design. The EDGE 540s go together so much faster and easier. Peace Brother.
I wouldn't be able to fly 3d without Twisted. Never like the build, but always go thru with it because it gives me the most $ per minute of flying of any plane i own!
I had a similar plane. The FunnyCub. It flew really weird because I accidentally cut the aileron rods to short. So i kinda had flaps built in but it just didn’t turn at all! I definitely want something similar again but actually build it well.😂
EPP planes are awesome. You mentioned not liking the landing gear. You might as well take it off and throw it out as it seems that no matter what the foam will tear where the gear attaches given some time. You can beef it up and then it tears wherever the reinforcement stops. That's been my experience at least. Nice flying!
Do you think this could fly "trainer-like" with very low rates? As in, does it have some natural stability and turn readily just from banking? I'm looking for planes to teach someone to fly in a limited space.
It's not exactly a beginner airframe, but it is pretty durable. There are better airframes for learning to fly that Twisted offers. Look for high-wing airframes without a full moving stabilator like this one.
Hi buddy here in south africa these are very popular ,great flying aircraft ,you should try the edge 540 or the xtra vector ,these are even more durable
Jace the ace flies with 65% expo with some of his planes. I have seen it myself. Does that mean he is doing it wrong? I swear some people that comment are crappy pilots that take out their frustrations on the people like you who can actually fly everything really well. Don't feed the trolls. They probly wear fancy team polo shirts and blame everything on the plane when they crash. 😂 Using a conputer radio to help you fly smoother is smart. You invested in something to use it. Otherwise just use a cheap RTF radio. lol
$300ish with the recommended setup. The main strength of Eratix is that it's easy to build and replacement parts can be ordered. Twisted's offerings are much lighter and can be flown almost anywhere because they're nowhere near as heavy as Eratix is.
@@TwoBrosRC good info, almost all my flying is at our rc club field and we almost always have at least a little wind so the Eratix works for me,,, our club does indoor flying in a gym in winter - would the Twisted plane do well in a gym ?

I think everyone should own a profile plane. they're just so unique in their capability and a great platform to learn on

Great to hear!
Finally, the first big channel to promote how good this thing is!
Looking good Johnathan, glad your enjoying your Mad Bull as much as we are. They are truly a blast and such a fun model!
Thank you!
Nice job Jon. I love the Twisted planes...reminds me, I have a Gee Bee to build!
Wow, that’s an amazing profile plane at that price!! I had never heard of twisted hobby till today. Thank you Jon!

I feel a big part about this video is Jon running in flip flops...very cool. You guys did a great job with this one!

But the full flying stab is so worth it!
Cool, great timing! Ordered one last week to replace my beatup MPX Slick360. I love that plane but excited for the bush style on this one!
These Twisted hobbies models are a must for pilot training!!!

Cool little plane. Thanks for the review! 👍
OMG, you had to BUILD it? The HORROR! Looks like fun!
Great flying Jon, very impressive. I've wanted to get the Crack Turbo Beaver. Be great to see you fly it!!
AirHammer out!!
Thank you for your great content and knowledge. I have learned so much .👍👍👍
Looks like such a joy to fly wow!!!
I like that you brought back your transmitter window.
Needs to be done to show what it takes to fly a profile in confined spaces!

Awesome review bro. Im ready to get one.

Nah, we love the wheels. Just gotta reinforce it somehow if you want to do one-wheel stuff!

Cool plane NIIIIICE Flying 👌

It looks like the MPX Funny Cub
7:50 Nice 👍 Save GoaT 🐐 (Greatest Of All Time = GoaT)
Nice man very nice
What is the all-up-weight in grams with a 2S and 3S battery?
No idea offhand, check Twisted's site and you'll find the info there.
For that price point and performance I can’t not get one

Ill see where I can get one down here, down under.
Very similar to the Multiplex Funny Cub.
Perhaps.
I'm gona build mine with safe selct!
Not a bad idea at all!
@TwoBrosRC I lost a plain with safe select in a wind could not turn up wind! I dint know what was happening question my stick work straight away ha.
You really don't need SAFE or any kind of a Gyro on any of the T.H. airplanes. They just fly so good on their own. Trust me. I've built a lot of em.
@gisall8205 True I did make one with straight rx it has preformed great would be interesting option tho. Originally I was being sarcastic 😉
looks like it would be close to $300 to build one....is that about right?
makes my Eratix not look so expensive afterall

You lost me at instructions 😂😄😬😬😬😬
🤓
Saudações do Brasil, qual o peso desse?
Check the stats on the link.
Nice, but overprice. Love the way you flight it.
It's $100 - definitely not overpriced!
@@TwoBrosRC Question, included servos, esc, and motor?
Go all the way down to 350 pack you will be shocked
We've flown it on 300s. It flies well albeit briefly.
@Two Brothers Radio Control Get yourself a lil fokker next.
These should not be called planes, all they are are thrust vectoring devices for an electric motor. There is nothing “airplane” about these
