Thank you for the detailed review! I like how you explain that the watch can call any phone number, including a landline, without the receiver having to use an app. Can it also TEXT any phone number (obviously not landlines) without using the Gabb app? What about video calls? My kids want to be able to text their friend's who have phones, or text their friend's parent's phone.
Yes, it can text as long as the number is an approved number in the app. So for example you have to load your their friends numbers or their friends parent's numbers in order for it to work. The watch doesn't have a camera on it so video calls don't work.
The quality is clear and we have never had issues. My son however texts 90% of the item. This watch only works with Gabb, so you have to use their carrier and can't take to other networks.
Hi, concerning the Safe Zone areas---we curently use a JioBit and we have to get the school to let us connect it to the school WiFi with a password, just to set a Sate Zone and the school IT guy gives us a dirty look. Hopefully the Gabb uses GPS math to detect a radius around the school----is this true?
Yes, it uses GPS and you just enter the address. You can also adjust the radius of low large you want the circle. It uses the cell towers, so no need to connect to the school WiFi.
When you get the watch it comes with its own cell service. I did connect it to our WiFi, but not sure if it places calls over the WiFi network like a phone. The watch doesn't have a camera on it.
My daughter’s isn’t staying charged for long at ALL. Didn’t know if yours was still lasting realistically or if you’ve now found it doesn’t last long before needing charged?
My daughter had hers for 1 month and it didn't stay long for up to 3 hours despite saying 100% charged...I would NOT recommend this watch. It is a poor product with bad customer service
Yes, it seems to be currently unavailable on Amazon for some reason. You can also buy it directly from Gabb, but I don't have any referral codes for them directly.
It just display the text, but you can send voice text messages. My son typically doesn't type anything and just talks into the text message app, so we just listen to the message.
Someone on a pre approved list can call, unless you have a "quiet time" set up. For example if they are a school and if you turn on that feature only the approved admins can call.
I thought about getting the Google Kids watch, but the deal breaker for me was everyone had to have their app in order to call the person. I did like how Google allowed you to set up so your kiddo's could pay for things with a limit.

This watch is dangerous! I bought a watch for my 8 year old and the number belonged to someone else. Every time i texted my daughter i got cussed out by an unstable person. I tried to contact support but after waiting 2 hours the person came on and “call failed”. Buyer beware! Buying a safe watch has exposed my entire family to cussings and calls from a dangerous individual.
That is all very odd. I am not sure how that would happen since you need to the number to set it up via the app on your phone. Something you would need to contact customer support for sure.
Great review! Thanks for the details.

I wish you reviewed about the quality of the phone calls and if you can switch phone carrier plans.

Does all the features (as a phone mainly ) of this watch works in Peru as well? Thanks in advance for your help
I don't think it works internationally, but it would be best to contact the manufacture for that question.
Great review! I dislike reading manuals, much prefer someone to explain it to me!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you, looking to exactly what features the watch has.
Glad it helped and thanks for watching.
Does it have the "listen in" function where if enabled the parent can hear what's going on around the watch?
No, the person wearing the watch would have to answer the call.

Our home has to use wifi for calls, text etc. Does it connect to wifi? Is there a camera on the phone?

My son's last about a full day to a day in a half.

Great review. Just fyi, I tried to click on the Amazon link and it didn't work.

Thanks for watching
Am debating on getting this for my 6 yo who still cant quite read. Does it read texts aloud for them or does it only just desplay the text.

How much is the service plan and is it monthly or yearly?
They have a monthly, yearly, and multi-year option. It is best to just go to their website to see current pricing since that kind of stuff changes.
Can a person on the preapproved list call my child or can my child only call them?
Someone on a pre approved list can call, unless you have a "quiet time" set up. For example if they are a school and if you turn on that feature only the approved admins can call.
Thanks
Does this gabb watch require phone service?
It comes with it's own phone service as part of the montly fee. You don't hook it up to your current wireless company.
How much is it per month?? Thank you for all the other information on this video
How does it compare to the Google kids watch?
I thought about getting the Google Kids watch, but the deal breaker for me was everyone had to have their app in order to call the person. I did like how Google allowed you to set up so your kiddo's could pay for things with a limit.

Got 2 gabb watch 3 for my kids and have nothing but problems with both of them. Gabb support wasn’t very helpful. I wouldn’t recommend them.
