I just found your channel and I honestly can’t thank you enough for your content. Fashion has always felt like a foreign language to me. No matter how hard I tried to learn, it just never clicked. Thank you so much for being an amazing translator! 😊
I started watching you number one because you had a completely different approach to the persona of each person and the expression through clothing. The difference in our ages is, I am your grandmother and yet I am very fashion conscious I do not want to look granny like and yet I want to I guess finally create and have a cohesive style. I am an analytical person so your approach in analyzing attracts me, thank you for your analysis and your care to your audience. I look forward to many more in the future. This is very good. Marie. Thank you so much.
Clothing is communication in its purest form. As a former head of a human resources department, I could quickly gauge a job candidate’s success based on their clothing. It’s not how expensive the clothes were but the care, attention to detail, and appropriateness that mattered. Someone who shows up to a job interview in sloppy, dirty, or overtly sexualized attire is not going to give the attention to the job that is required. It didn’t matter if they were applying to be CEO or janitor, the result was the same.
Interesting insights! And you’re so right! Whether people like it or not, people will make assumptions about who we are through the clothes we wear and how we present ourselves!
I would *love* a video navigating style as a new parent, it’s such a big change and rarely spoken about. I think that’s why so many new parents end up in athleisure ruts, we’re just looking for something durable and soft and are getting lost.
Exactly! How to style something that is comfortable can transition from work to pick up from kindergarten/stop at the playground and not have to have too different clothes for work and for times out with kids.
This video is so refreshing! You don’t set a “must wear this & not that” rule to style. Your videos help me find my own style while still being comfortable and modern. (Downloading Pinterest now….. lol) edit: can you do a q&a so we can get to know you and your background. How you got into styling etc.
Thank you for your sweet comment! 🤍 And I’m touched that you want to get to know me better! I would love to do that, but always think that no one would be really interested 😅
Excellent advice. I’m putting together a new wardrobe because I have lost weight and need things that fit. I’ve definitely fallen into the mistake of following the recommendations of stylists when they don’t really work for me as try to find my style. . I may like a look on someone but that doesn’t mean it’s right for me. Thanks for this insight.
Yes, the deeper I dig into it I realize that there are so many styling tips and theories out there that contradict each other! You just have to pick the ones that make sense for you! I hope this can help you along the way to finding a style you love! 🫶🏼
You are making amazing video content. I just watched the video and your video quality is appreciable. I am so impressed by your content. I was analyzing your channel and noticed that you are struggling with video views and videos ranking. May I share some tips on how you can achieve your goals
I actually started out my content creator journey many years ago by solely taking pictures and filming my outfits to trendy background music like any other wanna be fashion influencer haha! Specifically on Instagram! But I realized my strengths were creating talking educational content and breaking down topics, and I also realized that I actually hated getting dressed and switching to different outfits just to get good pictures in them 😂 I think on Instagram you can get more of a feel of what I typically wear and what kind of styles I like, if you’re curious ☺️ I’d love to share more of my style eventually 🤔 I’m still a newbie RUclipsr and trying to figure things out (where and how it’s good to film etc.), and we’re also living in a temporary apartment right now that’s not ideal for filming ootd’s 😅
Your approach to style is well analysed and offer clear advice however I do not agree with your exemple of the Gossip Girls: their looks are costumy, exaggerated and not enough difference between them to illustrate your point, they are for the screen not real life....
Style and good taste, either you have it or you don’t. I don’t think you can really teach it, even with all these psychological aspects mentioned here. The delivery of this I find ineffective as the tone is too stern. Just saying
Whether you like it or not people will make assumptions about who you are based on what you wear or how you present yourself in general. I personally think it’s freeing to be able to take control of the narrative of what people think of me though the clothes I wear, but of course not everyone thinks that, and there are definitely downsides to it too!

And no white pants! They get fingerprints on them when you're a parent 😂

The clothes you wear shouldn't define who you are 🙄 society is disgusting
They don't define you, they express you.
