  • Things to do on Moreton Island
For all those interested in heading to Moreton Island one day and wants to know what there is to see and do whilst there, I’m providing a 4-part series on the lesser-known attractions.
In this episode, we check out the Rous Battery.
The battery is located near the southern end of the eastern beach. Keep watch as the hill side begins to disappear. You will see the command post on the last hill to let you know your about to get to the track. Look for the sign in the sand dunes. You can drive up to an upper carpark. This was a little testing as the sand was a bit deep, but we made it. You can park in a lower parking area and walk up if you are worried about getting stuck.
The walking track is not too difficult. It starts off a little step but basically flattens out as you go. There are a couple of branches as you head to the command post at the top. Have a look down each of them. You’ll be rewarded with a great view north, east and south.
    Enjoy!
I’ll provide a link to my other videos on the main attractions in the video.

To see all these sites, at least a week. Ive being going there for years and only just seeing them for the 1st time. No need to do them all at once hey. It gives you a reason to get going back.
      Thanks for watching.
