What kind of rear axle are you using. I got this same kart but just the frame and I'm trying to find out all the pieces I need. Still new to the go kart party 😅
thank you so much for this video! i have the same go kart i bought it just a few days ago for 200$ it needs a lot work and i'm in the process of restoring it. it has i really good Honda clone 6.5 hp in it. i was looking to see what parts i need for it cuz i need to fix the front end of the go kart. thank you for showing the link to the parts this makes it so much easier to get the parts now.
How do you like those 18" tires? I just bought a dingo 392 (larger model with an 8hp engine) with the 22" tires and I'm looking to replace them. EDIT: I just read the description about the rims. Thanks
Nice gokart. Stay with the 13hp. I have a Honda GX390 on my kart and doing of road at high speed my engines tries to dies or stop. What it could be? I disconnect the oil sensor. And the governor. Could it be the carb?
Just got a conquest from buddy today and noticed its turning radius is horrible. Did you have to modify yours (cause it looks like it turns good) or was yours good from the start? Where the spindle mounts to end-links i noticed yours look like its a right angle (spindle to mount) and on mine both sides look like they are bent,,,just not sure if thats the issue. Thank you for the video.
I just got this exact kind of go kart and when I press the gas it just rolls then rolls back almost like if your on a manual car and balancing on the clutch at a red light any help guys ?
Hi Grant, as I do not have access to some data in Argentina, can you tell me the tightening torque of the screws of the back cover of the predator 420?
Same as for Americans if you are getting it in America. In brazil, No idea. The comp y that made this is out of business and I bought it used and run down for $150 USD
Bolts for kingpins, or springer bolts should go in from the top I would think.... Just in case the nut comes loose the bolt would stay put a little better and not fall out. That's my thought process anyway. Great video
KartFab Hey, at least you are man enough to admit your mistake and to learn from it, and not get all offensive about it; says a lot about a fella.... overall you did a good job!! Ive been wanting to build one, something along the lines of the Polaris Ace
You really need to be using seat belts when you have a roll cage, one of the big killers in accidents is the person is ejected and the vehicle rolls on top of them. The seat belt and/or shoulder harness retains the driver/passengers, working with the roll cage and protects them.
G56AG yes but seat belts can also be very dangerous because if the driver can’t get out of the kart in a crash the roll cage can still fold over on them or the seat belt locks up in a crash and they get covered in gas next to a very hot engine
Those dingos came stock with 5 or 8hp briggs engine. Mine had the 8hp and it destroyed that frame over a few years of beating on it in a woods trail with lots of roots. Cant imagine what 5 more hp would have been like. See my orofile pic. Was the day 9 got mine brand new back when i was 18. I just turned 47 sep 21st
Yeah that engine was pushing out 18 hp with those modifications. I actually put the stock camshaft back in it so it was underpowered at the time. Since then, the conquest was wrecked as well! Soooo yeah. too much hp can be a bad thing. Going to fix these guys and sell them with smaller predator 212 engines on them and call it good.
No, I'd say that the engine is NOT too big for the kart. It could be used to tow out other rigs that were broke down. Try driving it up a steep hill with two full-sized adults in it without wearing out the the drive belt or having to floor it the whole way. Indications of whether or not that engine is wasted on such a kart.
haha yeah me and my lil bro climbed a steep hill with this. It is geared for torque. Ive just got other frames im working on getting a honda gx620 v twin on them and that will be a more comfortable, torquey ride.
ill restore this one, and a full size dingo as well collecting leaves in my backyard. Just going to sell them though and keep the other stuff with front and rear suspension.
Cool little build. I built a 420cc spiderbox which was a fun project. Also have a 212 powered spiderbox. Also have a 150cc GY6 Hammerhead that my wife and daughter use. Have another GY6 Spiderbox I'm restoring to sell. And my crown jewel atm. Is I picked up a Roketa GK-06 that I'm going to put a CBR 600cc engine into 110 hp @ 12k rpm with a 6 Spd transmission. Going to tear it down Reinforce it with a real rollcage and put in Race Car 4 point harnesses. With all that speed. I'm going to Rock crawl, Trail ride, and do doughnuts. I never plan on taking it faster than 40mph because i'm a wimp but love building these machines. If you ever want to see My daughter and I cruising around in the 420cc Spider check out my channel. I let her pick the paint and stickers. I'll miss seeing those wheelies, Have a good retirement Midas
I can't believe you only hand tighten those front spindle bolts. Come on guy you know better than that. You need to get that nut since down on that spindle to get past them locking threads at the end of that nut. Take a little bit off of that spacer from the back side so the wheel will slip on there a little further or at least turn the nut around backwards so it utilizes those locking threads
@@twiz8789 yeah tasted nut came off it would still stay in I didn't notice that. I was talking about the one that held the tire on that one big one you're talkin about the spindle nut. I went back and watched it again and sure enough he pushed it in from the bottom
Hey ..It's Paul from Paul's karts ...I need your help with something ...contact me thru my page ...also on bobs forum ...forum name is big block 460 ..you responded to a comment under methanol ,about the 15:1 comp ratio statement I made and someone said " I doubt you have 15:1 comp ratio ...you responded you do have the same as I'm running ..I have a question for you ...
Gopowersports.com probably would sponsor you. You should check into it. Check out redbeards garage. he could give you some pointers on it. Or you could just contact them directly. They could really help you out with finances. Believe me.
James Maroon ya kartfab I heard he was sleeping on the streets a few weeks just so he could pay for his go kart. A sponsor would really help him out...
Kartfab if you never contact them, then, you will never know. Me personally, I would. What all the could say is no. But the fact is, that they are looking for guys like you to sponsor. At least try man. Just sayin
So just to give you some background. I was the originally sponsored person by gopowersports back in 2015. I reached out to cars and cameras and secured their sponsorship, and gopowersports contacted red beards garage and more after that. The difference with me is that I do karts and mini bikes as a hobby and redbeard/CarsandCameras do it full time. I turned down the offer to do it full time and enjoy working on these things as a hobby in my spare time.
ok. That's fine, just trying to help that's all. A lady had told me that you were, homeless and stuff like that. That's why I said what I said. Take care man
What kind of rear axle are you using. I got this same kart but just the frame and I'm trying to find out all the pieces I need. Still new to the go kart party 😅
Did you connect the lightbar to the kill switch?
Super Awesome Build of the GoKart
What size jackshaft?
5/8”
I just picked up a fox vortex to flip. Really nice karts. Huge!

Jetting and or fuel starvation.
KartFab I don’t think is fuel starvation’s cuz on pavement roads it runs great full throttle. Off-road on bumpy roads it dies 🤷♂️
I will check the jets
Maybe the carb bounces too much off-roading 😅
I love how clean your videos are keep up the work
thanks, will do!
The same go-kart I need the brake assembly or a link to purchase one
“Mechanical brake caliper” on GPS

What was the reason for the smaller tires?
9:01 don't like stretched tires?
MTNSleder no lol why would you want stretched tires on a go kart😂
What lengths were the tie rods the link doesn’t show it ?
I just got this exact kind of go kart and when I press the gas it just rolls then rolls back almost like if your on a manual car and balancing on the clutch at a red light any help guys ?
How did u put in the spindle compression springs i have a pair but i cant compress them enough to fit
Elbow grease.
Hi Grant, as I do not have access to some data in Argentina, can you tell me the tightening torque of the screws of the back cover of the predator 420?
Blower housing? Crankcase cover?

Think y'all will ever do a lifted cart with big tires?
None of my tires are bald, so they don't need a wig.

You should try the 22 in. tires on it since you are using a bigger /more horse power motor

Ive been wanting to build one, something along the lines of the Polaris Ace
Saw that crash on Redbeard's garage! That cart was so awesome..... 😟 Rip baja thing wheelie machine
im thinking ill do a tribute to the kart back when it could wheelie and then the rebuild video.,
I have a fox conquest that needs work so thanks for the video it helped.
You really need to be using seat belts when you have a roll cage, one of the big killers in accidents is the person is ejected and the vehicle rolls on top of them. The seat belt and/or shoulder harness retains the driver/passengers, working with the roll cage and protects them.
thats on the list for the complete restore. This has seatbelts but they are kind of worn out.
G56AG yes but seat belts can also be very dangerous because if the driver can’t get out of the kart in a crash the roll cage can still fold over on them or the seat belt locks up in a crash and they get covered in gas next to a very hot engine
If I put 22 tire on my kart with 10 engine. Be ok 60 on rear
Does it wheelie still?
lil bit. baby wheelies right when you start.
KartFab thanks for answering my question and also would a v twin vanguard 16hp do wheelies on my manco dingo with a torque converter
let me just answer that with a video right here ruclips.net/video/glY92djdegA/видео.html This dude used a comet 500 or 780? but hell yeah you can
KartFab I’m using a 44 series torque converter will that hold up good
KartFab my manco Dingo is the longer style and looks just like the orange one you built a while ago
Skipped over accidentally the part in video where you showed yours,,,in a hurry to get mine going,,i apologize

You should've stayed with Baja and used a Baja DN 150. Its got awesome suspension and enough space for 2 adults
I actually have the timberline crossfire which the DN150 copied or morphed into
KartFab
Even better. Cant wait to see it
Awesome! Nice work
So is the maico dingo dead?
injured, in need of some tlc and a smaller engine.
What's your gear ratio
8t jackshaft 54t axle
KartFab what was the ratio on the black one that had on the 13hp
Same

Restore the dingo. I wish i kept mine. I had first gen with 8hp brigs stock. After 4 years or so 2 axles the frame broke and i dont have a welder.
ill restore this one, and a full size dingo as well collecting leaves in my backyard. Just going to sell them though and keep the other stuff with front and rear suspension.
Great video but I still like the wheelie kart it was awesome
haha yeah, i have owned this kart for so long. Its not going in the scrap pile, just getting tamed down and then sold.
