  • Deputy Frank Sloup stops an 18-year-old for driving over a curb and discovers that he was allegedly under the influence of cannabis, which was found in the vehicle. "Your initial answer should have been 'I have weed,'" Sloup exclaimed to the driver.

      I have to say it as well, you all keep pushing this Brady officer on us for some unknown reason, are you all getting paid by either him or the PCSO for this? Because if not then that shows a very poor lack in judgement and research on who you are promoting on a criminal justice channel.

      ​@@ryanholzinger534 Officer Sloup spilled a (non-alcoholic) drink on his shop's computer while on duty. When the damage was found during vehicle inspection Officer Sloup was questioned. Officer Sloup did not provide a full and clear Brady statement. He was cited for Brady misconduct due to this. What a MONSTER.

The public is far worse to deal with now than when I was dealing with them 50 years ago! The Newark, NJ riots were going on, and we had the barricades up between them and us, and to other restless communities on the other side.       He has had plenty of practice, and hears the same stories from multiple people per day. I had a job like that and like Deputy sloup had access to a computer system that let me counter them point by point.

      I try to stay very neutral when it comes to cops. I personally think this guy is a great cop in general, but if you can't see that he's patronizing people 50-75% of the time, then you're blind. Definitely not "respectful".

    I love the guy in the Charger argues to kingdom come and gets all the citations for his infractions and the next car the woman admits and is respectful and she got the warning he wanted. So interesting how your demeanor and respect goes a long way.

    I LOVE when people would ask for a break. For example out of say 1000 stops, it would almost be exactly a 50/50 ratio between citations and warning I would issue.
    But like the guy that kept wanting a warning over and over and getting mad because he knew he was wrong and got caught…
    My reply would almost always be, “The warning was the speed limit, it warned you that if you went over that number you could get pulled over and given a ticket. Why should I give you a warning, when you were already warned?”

    Deputy Frank is such an amazing guy. I love his attitude and the fact that he has the best patience out of ANY law enforcement officer I’ve never seen. I look forward to seeing more of these videos and Fridays with Frank, he’s so great!

    I love the way Deputy Sloup puts his point across. He makes fools out of the drivers and they don't even realize that's what he is doing. He would make a great stand up comedian.
    He should write down the comments and excuses he listens to frequently. The reason being I was in people management for many years. I wish I had written down the excuses the people would give me for different infractions. It would be great reading now and then.

    I love this guy so much. He gets his point across in such a cool manner. I have seen some of these with him that he issued a ticket and the guilty party still wanted to get a picture with him. Positive attitude at all times.

      OK could you please come up with a list of laws and rules that we should allow cops to break?
      I mean, we all know that steroids and wife beating are not only tolerated, they’re the norm.
      Beating the life out of handcuffed suspects guilty or not just because they were mouthy? I watched on TV where a cop in Philly, ran up to a closed up car and put 5 in a guy because he had a.knife by his side? If cops don’t follow the law then there is no law. Just let me know,

    In my earlier life I once worked in 'Collections and Compliance' at Revenue Canada. On more than one occasion during an interview with a PART TIME taxpayer I was informed that they paid my salary! At this point I would place a nickle in front of them and say ' okay you are paid back...now let's discuss your arrears with your Income Tax account.
    Sometimes it's trying being a servant of the people!

      Perhaps, but it wouldn’t have helped. The strong smell of marijuana gave him probable cause to search the car, so he would have found the weed anyway. But yes, I’ve told my kids to follow the law but if you find yourself in a bad situation with the police you should immediately ask for a lawyer and say nothing more.

    Frank is a super good guy, treats everyone with respect big time, I have seen him help multiple people and seriously always a great cop and guy. It's great to see that he is getting the recognition he deserves as a great cop. There are few videos I have seen though where he could speak to people a little more respectfully but for the most part he is a great guy and fair. Fridays with Frank is always awesome.

    Thank you for some of the information, and every time I watch these videos have learned new things about Arizona’s laws of driving. I wish some of the people would get stopped in my neighborhood posted speed limit 25. I could swear there’s a lady that drives 45 to 50 miles an hour with a horse trailer up our street, it’s absolutely reckless driving and dangerous.
