Hey Patrick! First time commenting and new sub...
First video I ever saw was the Air Algérie one, never flown with them and most likely will ever do, barely got to the end of ur video as bad experience it was thank u for enduring that for us 😂😂😂
I liked how you broke down each category best and worst, in your personal experience, cause it's always different for everyone...
What amazes me the most is your honesty and appreciation for each and single flight u took this year...maybe cause as u said were really happy to take your 1st international flight and see all these places within one year...
However, I would like to make some constructive criticism.
As many have said, I feel sometimes the narration it's way too much, for me at least it's your wording and enonciation, try to articulate a little bit more.
All videos I've seen are always 30 min long. I feel like u could find a balance on your editing between narrating and just subtitles (less work for u...I guess)
I being a French guy just a little bit older than u living in MEX, I pretty much only fly transatlantic CDG-MEX in business on AF or sometimes to Madrid on AM or Amsterdam on KLM. When going to the the US always fly Delta... so as u can see only fly Skyteam haha😂😅 so it would be really interesting to see your take on any of those legacy carriers.
I'm sure your channel will explode this year as u will get better every video. Congrats on managing work and RUclips.
      Sorry for the long text!
Take care and happy new year !

Even if it’s only an 8-10 minute vid, you should post a mini report for every flight you do. I know there’s a lot of competition for domestic economy trip reports but your style of video is by far the best.

Love your videos, voice over and music and all. You keep doing you. This is why you have a following. Forget the haters. Haters will always hate. Just look at it this way….you’re in your twenties. You got to and will get to travel to all those places and in ways where most people can only dream of visiting and experiencing, respectively. It’s a privilege, and it seems like you’ve humbly embraced and took advantage of your opportunities. Just enjoy what you’re doing and don’t let the haters get to you. Best wishes for 2024 and safe travels.

'There's basically one airline from each continent in the Northern Hemisphere' - except that Qatar and South Korea are on the same continent. People often forget that the Middle East is really just West Asia! 😄

    • @PatrickSheaAviation
      @PatrickSheaAviation  5 месяцев назад

Ha I know it counts as Asia on paper, but Middle East has its own cultural identity it feels like. Thanks man!

    • @christopherlim5566
      @christopherlim5566 5 месяцев назад

@@PatrickSheaAviation Well, yes and no, I think? The same could be said of all of Asia - culturally, the Confucians (Chinese, Japanese, Koreans) are not like the Austronesians (the Malays and the Indonesians) who are in turn not like those on the Indian subcontinent. And yet, from West to East Asia, you find very similar attitudes towards honour and shame, social values, etc. There is definitely more in common between East and West Asians than, say, between Asia and Europe-North America.
But this is just me sharing my thoughts and observations - I don't want to bog you down in an extended discussion of this. You certainly have better things to do, like flying! 😁 Have a great day and better 2024!

Wow did not know that you only started the whole thing (traveling abroad and flying business class) 2 years ago! Recently got into your channel because of the Luanda to Sao Paulo flight and watching your video being so great I thought you have been doing this kind of things for a long time.
I am Chinese living in the US and have recently been talking with my friend in China about unique routes from China and we talked about really wanting to try Tanzania Airlines Guangzhou - Zanzibar route (I learned a little bit Swahili in college so have always wanted to visited Zanzibar anyway) so am definitely looking forward to your flight experience on Tanzania flight from Dar es Salaam to Guangzhou! Another interesting recently added route from China is Zhengzhou to Luxembourg City, the only flight from a Chinese city to Luxembourg and it is interesting that it goes to a second tier Chinese city rather than a larger one.

HI Patrick, I've watched a lot of your vids now for some time and I'm both glad you did this one and that I watched it. It humanized you and not that I had any type of bad opinion of you but this video raised it (I hope that comes across as I'm meaning it, it's kinda hard to put into words). You're a very interesting guy. One funny thing I noticed early on was the In-N-Out sticker on your laptop...I live in PHX and yeah, they RULE! LOL I really enjoy your vids; it's just amazing how such a young guy, and with as you said 2 jobs, manages to travel so much all over the world. I've been honestly stunned at some of the truly off-the-beaten path airlines/flights/countries you've done...like the MIAT flight from ULN to FRA. Those are the most fun; there's a zillion vids about EK First Class, but not MIAT in any class! The one thing I'd ask though is that you stop with the "we" and "our" phraseology you do many times; it's clear you're always traveling alone, and saying something like "as soon as we...." or "we got to the lounge" sounds like the so-called "Royal we" which comes across as, well, a "Royal we". It then sounds sillier when in the next sentence you've sometimes then said a "I" or "me". Just stick with "I" or "me" LOL And keep on traveling! You've clearly been blessed with some kind of good fortune allowing you to do this and you should make the most of it. You do this humbly enough that it makes it enjoyable to live vicariously! Take care and safe travels in 24!

Hi Patrick - I recently found your channel and love your videos. I live in Los Angeles now, but graduated from USF and lived in the
Bay Area for a long time, so I feel like we're kindred spirts! Don't listen to the haters (if you are) - they suck and are ridiculous. The love you have for aviation totally resonates in your channel. My grandfather was a pilot for the old Northwest Orient Airlines (in fact, I have a cool photo of him on a NW Orient plane with Bob Hope during WWII) and my father had his pilot's license. Keep flying and doing YOU! Cheers to 2024! P.S. You mentioned that you are "horrible" at mileage redemption; you might want to reach out to NonStop Dan - he's awesome and self-funds all his trips mainly through mileage redemption!!! I also subscribe to his channel.

Blimey! what a "chic" video review start, brilliant!, you're "all pressed and dressed", and quite a young bloke to be a pilot!. I can only say that along with another airline reviewer: Noel Phillips you're both my two favourites since you're very accurately in your reviews, and mostly you're very respectful when it comes to do the reviews, you're a Gent. About Air Algeria? yes I have seen a couple of other reviewers and they all said the same, bad service on that airline. I'm a traveller myself, and thankfully enough, languages are no barrier for me since I speak several. Also, I saw, while you were showing some airlines, TAAG, Linhas Aereas de Angola, which I'd like to see a video on that particular one; it flies Sao Paulo-Luanda, and perhaps some US destination to Angola..?? and also a review on LATAM (former LAN) business to see your views on those two Airlines.
Do hope you keep on flying, since watching your channel, in this very own personal bad year I had, you made my days more pleasant, enjoying your flights, so cheers thanks for that Patrick...Do keep it up for 2024, so "SALUDOS, Salutations, Saluti, Saudações Vær hilset, Grüße, hälsningar, Groete.......👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I have to admit i agreed with these complaints about you from the very first videos i watched: talk too much, dirty shoes, ...😂😂😂 but after all, i realize you make your contents with much of natural moods and voice tone and like a trip diary that could match some people's interest and that's good enough. Please keep up your work like this and be yourself. I work in aviation from attendant to ground staff and honestly i don't really trust or like some famous bloggers on social media now when they're paid this way or another to put/leave best reviews on the airlines they travel with or turn the otherside when the airlines don't satisfy or please them maximum as they want. And when we serve them, we are informed well who they are and sometimes have to pretend to be nicest and do extra or even exceptional things for them just to have good reviews in return, that's all lies and fake. Hope you're always be a true blogger/avgeek and bring us the accurate information with neutral comments from your own experiences.❤

    Uganda Airlines A330neo - EBB/DXB
    Rwanda Air A330 KGL / LOS : KGL/BRU : KGL/LHR
Egypt Air - They have several widebodies and even direct services from CAI to YYZ and JFK
South African Airways has A330s from JNB to LOS/ACC and GIG
    From MAR 2024 - Brussels Airlines is re-starting BRU/NBO on their A330s
Looking forward to enjoying your trip reviews and wish you many safe and happy flights.

Another Canadian gem is the Air Inuit 737-200s that fly in northern Quebec. As well as Air Transat being the only carrier to fly from North America to airports such as Basel Mulhouse Freiburg (BSL), Nantes (NTE), Marseille (MRS), Bordeaux (BOD), Lemezia Terme (SUF), and even Marrakech (RAK) another inaugural.

I do need to get up into Canada more. YVR seems to be growing its trans-pacific portfolio and I’m trying to get onto one of those. Air Transat’s growth also seems to be fun and interesting

Yikes! What's up with all comments about your shoes, Patrick?! Wasn't expecting that. Not my style of footwear but it never really bothered me. Your voice certainly is not annoying and I never thought you were expecting anyone to "roll out the red carpet" for you. Ilyen as élet! (C'est la vie!) I hope those viewers with those really negative comments are being just as judgmental with other vloggers like Josh Cahill, Nonstop Dan, Sam Chui, Noel Phillips and more. They are deserving of those comments, not you.
That first question you addressed about why there isn't more footage of yourself is EXACTLY why I like you and why I don't like the vloggers I just mentioned above. This is supposed to be a video about the airline: the service, the amenities and the overall experience and not about you. You're not a narcissist and don't have an over inflated ego. So, keep doing what you're doing and don't change who you are because there really isn't much to criticize.
One question for you Patrick; Do you speak any other languages? (Not asking for fluency, but are you conversational or know the basics of any other languages?) Please, lmk, I'm just curious.
Keep up the good work in 2024, Patrick. You're doing an excellent job as far as I'm concerned. 🍾🥂👍
