I'm so glad that I caught Michaels twice during their 50% off sale. This craft is very expensive, but the sale was right on time. Now I have to stock up on more beads for spacers.....😐😄
I'm going to try the chunky style soon once I get the pieces for it.
Hi! Just found you and love your jewelry and ideas. I am for talking all the way.
Hi Ashley! Thanks for joining us here on the Jewelry By BDK channel. I have gotten better with the talking. Darlene

@James Dayton Thank you, signed up and it seems like a nice service :) Appreciate it !
I love your talking. Plus, we can hear your decision process.
Hi Robin. Thank you for that. I was thinking I talk to much in the videos. Thanks for stopping bye.
@@JewelryByBDK Absolutely not! I much prefer the talking. It gives us a chance to grab the nuggets you guys drop. FYI...I'm in Diego too! I heard you mention College Grove and was like...wait a minute!! 😅😅 You got me trying my hand at wire wrapping. I make beaded jewelry too, but this wire wrapping thing is tough for me. But I will try!
Hi @@robingraham7618! See if you can practice using the earrings you bought. It's really simple once you get the hang of it.
I just came across your video. I enjoy creating gemstone bracelets. I learned something new today; using washers and Hex Nuts. I would never have thought of that! Thank you! :)
Hi Patricia! Glad you learned a little something from my video. Thank you for watching. ~ Darlene

Where you buy the hex nuts and washers from.
Hi Betty! I buy the hex nuts at Home Depot. Thanks for stopping by. Darlene
Great job! Love them
Hi Carla! Thank you.... ~ Darlene
❤❤❤❤
Beautiful, exactly my style, long dresses and chunky bracelets !! One question, i'm just starting to make my own bracelets and i would like to know if it's necessary to add glue on the knot at the end ???? Thank you for the answer and for all the tips you share with us. You're are great !!!
Hey Ms. Lilibocoli!! Thank you for the kind words. Regarding your question. I have been making bracelets for over 20 years. First just for myself and then as a retailer. I can honestly say I have never used glue on the my knots after tying the ends. If you want to add an extra layer of security to your pieces, I don't see anything wrong with add a little glue at the end. Welcome to the world of jewelry making. Darlene
@@JewelryByBDK I knew it, you are a sweetheart lady !! from a french girl who's learning english at the same time she's learning how to create magnificant bracelets. Thank you again xx
Beautiful bracelets...what size nuts did you use?
Hi Pat! I use either 1/4 in- 20 or 5/16 in-18 for my bracelets and some necklaces. Thanks for your question and for stopping by. ~ Darlene
@@JewelryByBDK Thank you
Where do you purchase large beads? I love your collection. Also what do you use to string your necklaces?
Hey Ms. Lynnette! I purchase large beads online and at craft stores whenever they have them in stock. I have also found large beads at thrift stores. I use 18 gauge wire for my necklaces - been using it for years for durability and long time wear for my designs. Darlene
Hi, please tell bead sizes. Ty
Hi Marlon. I am not sure of the beads sizes. I will have to watch the video and let you. Thanks for stopping by. Darlene
Help please help me ...first of all I like u Talkin !! ...next I am really new to making brackets ....why is a hex head??? Thanks 🙏
Hi Ms. Robin! I think I said, "Hex Nuts". You can find them at Home Depot.

New subscriber here!! I am enjoying your videos. Talking it through is very helpful to us so don't stop narrating. Did you state the size of the black beads? I just started making bracelets so I'm watching and learning.
Hey Ms. Nicole!!! Thank you for joining us here. I still need to look at the video. I think the Black Onyx Beads are 12mm. Darlene
Wow, nice jewelry. I just stumbled onto your channel. I never thought of using washers and hex nuts on jewelry ( I’m a newbie at this). Thanks for the tips. Where do you get your beads , I’ve only purchased from JoAnn and Michaels.
Hi Elisa! A "newbie!" Well please be sure to subscribe. I am sure you will pickup some great tips for jewelry making. The hex nut and washers just came to my mind when I was in Home Depot getting some supplies to do home improvement projects. I looked at the hex nuts and thought, wow, the perfect size beads. I get my beads at the two places you mentioned above. I also buy some beads on Amazon, Ebay and will purchase unique beaded jewelry from thrift stores and yard sales. Thanks for chatting! ~ Darlene
Hi there I am new to your channel. I love, love, love these bracelet's, I just want to know what size is the stone you use tor the center piece?
I am not really sure. I told those pieces a long time ago. It may have been 1 inches long and 1/2 inch wide... I think, it was. Thanks for watching and for hanging out here on the channel with us.
Where's a good place to get get beads in bulls? I also make bracelets and necklaces and it's hard for me to find
Hi Laurie Graham! I am not sure about "bull" beads. I am taking that to mean you want beads that are the animal "bull." I would do a search online for bulk animal beads to see what comes up. Good luck with your search + thanks for stopping by! ~ Darlene
@@JewelryByBDK I meant beads by the bulk
@@lauriegraham23 I would do a search for "bulk or wholesale" jewelry making beads. I am sure there are some suppliers you can purchase from.
Do you have a certain brand of stretch cord you like best? I'm having trouble finding a good one. Your bracelets are so beautiful!
Hi Barbara - I LOVE your questions! I have been making jewelry for over 15 years. The ONLY stretch cord I use at current is "Stretch Magic." Thanks for stopping by!! ~ Darlene
What type of nuts are those? Are they mechanical nuts?
Hi, I’m a little late but hearing you talk and getting you perspective during the creation of your jewelry is very insightful. Music can be distracting.
Hi Elisa! Thank you for your feed-back. I use the music in the dead spaces. However, I am still working on creating the videos with music only at the beginning and end of the videos. I promise, they will get better. Thanks for stopping by. ~ Darlene
Will you share where you buy your beads? Do you use charms too?
Absolutely. I live in California where there are a number of Joann's Fabric stores. So I buy most of my beads there. I wait for the buy one get one or the 50 or 60% off coupons. I never buy beads full price unless I have a customer who wants a custom piece. I pass the cost down to them. I also buy pieces on sale at stores... only when its marked down. And then there is Hobby Lobby and Michael's. You can also find some great beads and prices on Amazon. I hope this helps.
@@JewelryByBDK do you mind sharing a listen of suggested Amazon suppliers. I’m having a hard time sitting through. Many seem overpriced
@@MommySlays which type of supplies??
@@JewelryByBDK spacer beads and unique beads on Amazon
I love these bracelets. Thanks for sharing. Where do you get the washer and nuts from?
Hi Modest! I generally get them at Home Depot.
@@JewelryByBDK Thank you! 😊
Gosh I still o one and u on two 😂😂😂😂
Hey Ms. Robin. Sounds like you are moving right along. Thanks for stopping by. Darlene
I AM SO LIKING THAT U TEXT ME BACK .....THANK U!!!!!
More real the way you do it. Music and all the fast forward is yuk unless it is a lot of repeat.
Hey Ms. Linda! Thank you - I appreciate that. Darlene
how do you connect them as one
They stack. They don’t physically connect. It just gives that appearance 😊
Thank you @@Jade_902! You are correct. They're stacked and give the appearance of being connected.
Oh, and are the hex nuts and washers just from a hardware store or actually beads? That is an excellent idea to use them like this!
Hi Barbara! I buy the hex nuts and washers at Home Depot. You can buy stainless steel (which I suggest) or non stainless steel. Thanks for your questions! ~ Darlene
Do you ever look at your video it's not clear, and your hand is in the way can't see what you doing...
Yes. I look at my videos when I edit them. The videos are always clear, or else, I would not post it/them. This is a 4-year old video from when I first started recording videos. Thanks for watching. Enjoy our evening.
