yea for real fuck this place. i can’t afford to renew my tags so my appartment complex had my car towed. title isn’t in my name yet and can’t get ahold of the previous owner so idk what to do

Very good advice. One idea I had for tow lots is for people that don’t have the money is to sign a promise to pay or retrieve now pay later. But should be aware that if they don’t pay they will be sent to collections

Do they rubn your insurance or they just look at it and proceed? and can i deny to show proof of insurance and instead have my car towed instead of driving it

You may be able to do this, but it depends a lot on the specific impound yard holding your vehicle. The state you're in will also play a factor so it's hard to say exactly one way or the other.

Don't see how a tow company that isn't ran by the state and/or wasn't towed because of law enforcement make you show insurance they have no authority to enforce the law. I can see if police had car impounded police can require that. It's as if I work at gas station won't let them get gas and keep them from leaving the property. If Tow fees payed and you get there without insurance when you go back to clean out car or what ever just drive up to gate and when your forced to show insurance get them with kidnapping or say your being held without permission. They can't detain you the fees are paid your held without consent. Call police when you leave they'll pull you over then show officer your insurance.
Just have a side hustle Tow man drive a block down and drop car so you can drive.

How is it legal without due process? U have a right to due process don't u not? Before u are deprived of your property. U can't be guilty because ur presumed innocent until proven guilty on your day in court

It depends on the state. In most cases, a vehicle can be impounded, but not seized, until you are found guilty, at which point the county can sell or keep your vehicle.
