I'm going to be honest. I don't know how I feel about Torque Drift being on the channel. I've been following you for a long time and love your videos. But the way that Torque Drift is monetizing their game feels extremely predatory.

Slap great breakdown of Torque Drift 2 and the LZ compound and your right graphics are sick the only thing that sucks is LZ just remodeled a big piece of the compound outside of the garages for his beater car Christmas drift bash its not to different but added more concrete and a different drift layout so maybe Torque Drift 2 will add it in later on and as always keep up the great work 👍

No there is no payments given to me to play this game jjst been playing it on my own but it’s still early early access but I seen comments saying they will be doing cars you can buy without paying IRL money too so we’ll see what they do moving forward
I’ve worked worked with TD1 before and they were great people behind the scenes and actually few of them or atleast my contact is from TD1 so that’s why I’ve been giving it a chance but it’s not a payment thing just playing something new is all

AFAIK Martini said you buy these cars and parts and you get sorta a discount on their store when buying these parts IRL on their store, so its sorta like an NFT thing, but at the same time not? I'm not sure, and as an euro-pleb, this is practically uninteresting for me @@Grantykinss

@@GMG_Bossman look, I'll be real with you. I understand that as you and other people have said you're going to be able to purchase stuff in game, I get that. But as it stands right now you aren't able to do that, having a functional nft store in game before any of the other in-game based stores isn't a good look imo, it doesn't do wonders to your game and just turns people off who wanted to give it a shot. It's a major bummer to go to modify or purchase a car and be lead to a store where you have to pay reap money, especially at such high prices. You aren't exactly told a wealth of information in game either so you leave feeling frustrated and dont return. But these are just my two cents.

The premium items are collected, limited and resealable BUT note we aren’t blocking standard non digital assets (like other games) for a fraction. If you aren’t into it, no problems at all. We can’t please everyone but we can offer options. There is a plan to make a totally new steam game with will have no digital assets but instead have an upfront cost and all gameplay to unlock items. Why not join the community and suggest thing like in your comments.

The premium edition is a digital asset, limited / collectable / interoperable and sellable, thats the benefit and why we offer it. No one is blocked from enjoying the game at reasonable pricing

The mod has existed for Assetto for a long time - which means it could pretty readily be converted into a Beam map

Its a little out of date . I think if I am not mistaken Adam just spent 55,000 on concreate along with another loan some of money to re do his home and Grage on the compound for him and Collete

performance optimisations are coming with next update, we are adding DLSS 3 and frame generation options.
@@GMG_Bossman can’t wait for that tbh my Frame rate has been so choppy and the game looks like it’s in 720p for some reason.
@@Jack-yh3wu that doesn't seem right - our studio is full of 3060 cards with a few 3080 / 3090s. We can get around 60 fps on HIGH at 1920x1080. EPIC setting is pretty intense using UNREALs latest tech but updates are getting better and better so the 60FPS should be achievable shortly.
@@GMG_BossmanI know it doesn’t seem right at all considering I get 100fps on Cyberpunk with high settings and ray tracing on high. Maybe I’ll try reinstalling
Yeah this games performance is dogwater idc anymore. Drifting physics are way better in Forza, CarX, and even GTA V. Uninstalled til I see significant improvements...

THIS GAME IS A BIG SCAM
So as someone who plays lot of Torque Drift 1 (proof on my channel lol) and is pretty active in the community i want to shed some light to the monetization that is seen, cause I get it doesnt make sense if youre just playing the game for the first time. So right now the game only has NFT's that you purchase with real money because there is no ingame currency yet. Also they explained in a video that if you buy the NFT you own a digital version of that part, and if you want to buy the actual physical part for your car (lets say a rim for example) you will get a discount since you technically own it, again there is a video explaining all that. They did say there will be regular cars and parts that will be purchased with ingame currency once that feature is released. This game is still in super early access and will be coming out next year.
see, once theres a way to earn their ingame currency to just buy parts/cars and play that game like a damn game, only then its interesting, but untill then, super uninteresting. Especially when you are not in the US, these "NFT's" are essentially worthless to us because we cannot buy these parts. Unless they ship across the world lmao

Sounds pretty scammy really. I don't play drifting games but anything to do with NFTs is a scam flat out. Why an NFT and not just a normal in app purchase with a credit card? Also, if the cost of $180 for 1 car (and I think you get the map too) is true, that is 100% a scam. You can buy 2 or 3 AAA games for that money and literally 10-20 on steam in the lower price categories. Remember one thing dude, with an NFT, you don't own shit. If you can't hold it in your hands, you don't own it. The creator can shutdown the server or access anytime they want and there is nothing you can do about it.
@ZeLoShady I'm just explaining what they said in a video. Also i believe that is the LZ compound if you buy his car (they did give out the map for free if you played during christmas time). Now nft to me is basically any digital thing you buy in a game, like a character skin or gun skin which so many games has. But what this game is doing is if you buy the ingame part with real money you get a discount for the real part (they explain in a video). So don't really see how its a scam, the money you putting in is supporting the game since this game is a free game at the get go. So just wait till they implement the in game currency and don't worry about the nfts, oh wait you said you dont play drifting games so nvm on that part lol

They are spending so much money to advertise this game, and I'm going to be honest, my first impressions were very very bad. the sounds are horrible, and it drives like something out of the 90's as far as video games go.
