Congrats on the upgrade. Got my 16” M1 Pro two weeks ago and it’s amazing. In terms of performance, it’s quiet, powerful, and lasts 8-10 hrs on battery.
Love the screensaver!! New tech is always so exciting. I applaud you for being able to hold on to your mac for as long as you did. I held my mac from 2014-2020 and I really used that thing till it about died on me 😂
I also upgraded from a 2015 macbook pro to a 2021 macbook. I got the 14 inches with the base level specs and 1 TB of memory since I'm a student and don't use a ton of computer power. THE SPEAKERS THO! The first thing I listened to was a youtube video and i truly almost fell over doing a double take. even the simplest sounds are amazing on this thing!
For me, I need to customize the size of the resolution to make things a little bigger. I struggled with my eyes for a few years until recently, so being able to not strain my eyes is a huge deal. When I got my M1 MacBook Air, I first set it to dark mode, but I was getting dizzy and getting headaches. Who would have thought that light mode would turn out to be easier on my eyes! I'm so glad I spent time making things easier for my eyes because I am able to use my computer without having to worry about it now!
The screensaver is so nice! I recently changed it to a pic of the beach to remind myself that I need to visit jt more often (and it puts me in a calm state) 😌

I have a iPad Pro and there is so much I don’t know I watch tips but they loose me after 3 step but also I’m in different generation and afraid if I touch something wrong it will mess it up forever (so it just me) I really do enjoy all your videos

Do you buy it for the aesthetics, cause you want it to match your other devices, are there no better options where you live? Could be that Apple products are hellishly expensive over here when converted but I don't think it's 'cheap' over there either.
I think the main selling point for Apple is how seamless it is to work from one device to another. She makes iPad journaling/note-taking content, and that carries over to the iPhone and MacOS really well now and is super convenient. In terms of specs, I think other laptops were always leading over Apple but with these new M1 chips, they're such powerhouses that if you try them they're definitely leading in terms of performance.
i bought my first mac a couple years ago; before that with hp computers, downloading google chrome & finding a nice wallpaper was step 1, but with my macbook the very first thing i did was change the display accent color to pink 😂😂 also, i’m a light/day mode person too, but recently i decided to switch all my devices to change automatically between light and dark mode with sunset and sunrise and it’s been really nice, especially in minimizing eye strain while looking at screens since daylight savings with it getting dark so early now, so if that’s something you struggle with since most of your work is on screens, that may be something to try out!
I went from a mid-2012 to a late-2020 13" MacBook Pro at the beginning of this year, and I was taken aback by the difference in audio quality. Took some getting used to!
Aside from the photos and final cut stuff.. would you say it’s a worthwhile upgrade over the 2015 model in general? Ps you should do more tech and tech organisation videos I.e how you store and organise files and videos etc 👍
@@MVS_DJGillyGill nobody needs nthe max . . . the m2 comes out and beats the max easily and anyway the base pro is so powerfull that even if u work for nasa its enough people just wating money completely base model is completely enough for at least 10 years and im sure most people gonna buy a new macbook earlier than that . . .
Great video. You made the right decision upgrading to the Max. I’ve seen so many tech reviewers who actually tested the performance recommend it once you’ve decided on 32 gbs of ram. If you go for the Max you’ll get 8 more gpu cores and double your bandwidth for $200 I believe.

I am not a mac uses, I use Samsung and PC. However the first thing I change is my wallpaper and get all my favorite app and widgets the best thing about Samsung is that you can make each page your own and customize it to your liking.
Your fan can be going off because your laptop stand has no ventilation. Consider switching to something with air vents. Guarantee you will hear it with this new laptop if you keep using it :)
new M1 MacBook Pros - "16" and 14" tonight. The body is squared off and thicker than my 2019 MBP. WHAT??? And it feels cheap, not like the former Airplane Grade aluminum. You knock on it and it feels hollow-ish. And the bottom feet are harder than previous models, almost like a cell phone case that is hard plastic and sort of hits the desk too hard. I am pretty disappointed. Why, Apple, Why?
The first thing I do with any device is turn off all the sounds. All the dings and blips and flourishes every time you click something or whatever. I hate all the sounds. I also turn off almost all notifications for everything.
