I'm sooo happy for the Elephant, I love these people they don't panik, also know what to do. My idea was to make a ramp for him to walk out on . . they DID, good job everyone !!!

That cute little elephant even though they gave him a snack and proceeded to chomp the rope :-) The forklift operator is a star, he REALLY handled the digging and placing mud with extreme skill.
The Wild Life Conservation Department of Sri Lanka doing a great job for the well being of these wild animals. It's very pleasure to see these rescue mission all around the national parks. It's better if you can show the releasing of these giants again to their natural habitat
I' ve got a dead-serious question and PLEASE answer me(I am referring to the uploaders): Wouldn' t it be better to have a truck loaded with small or big stones, depending on the situation, which you will carefully drop by hand around the trapped animals? As they move around, paniced by their entrapment, they will be stepping always on the top of them, eventually getting raised to the ground' s surface, after you fill the hole with stones. You could even teach the elephants to do so by themselves, to any of their relatives they found trapped. Do you need any further explanations on my idea?

What surprises me is that; how do these elephants end up in those water wells? Do they fall by accident or go in there for necessary? because of thirst. But they are one of the most intelligent animals on earth. I don't think they are ending up there because they are dumb. I suspect it by accident. I heard that elephants can't see very well at night. So maybe its by accident but I am not sure. Can.someone educate me please? Thanks.
