I drove sonet and it felt like I am driving a toy, from driving dynamics, interior and build quality perspective. Whereas 3XO felt much more mature in every sense i tried to judge.
Toy? Dude you speak as if you are Max Verstrappen from F1. I am sure 99.99% folks out there don't have a privilege to drive on race tracks. Mahindra's steering is so dead you don't feel anything until you steer it 10 degrees on either side plus vibrations creeping into gearbox. Exactly what dynamics are you speaking about? Driving on a straight line?
Underline the sonet drives better and feels better, 0 to 100 is also faster if you look at power to weight ratio
@@venkateshanantharaman6773 by toy i mean the plastics used inside and the feeling when you drive it. I felt it to be so inferior that i would never want to be in that car again
@@domistry Hyundai and Kia platics are better than Mahindra and even VW/Skoda. Bhai Hyundai Kia is known for their interiors kya baat kar rahe ho? No cars in the segment are giving you ventilated seats with perforated leather.
3xo dead peadel bhi nahi deta. If you are above 6 feet in height and your feet is broad you will also find difficulty in differentiating between brake and accelerator pedal.
Buy what suits you both are good cars. Jo aapko pasand hai wo lelo
Sonet Drive is Better . 3XO drive is trashy . I test drove both at City as well as highway
You missed one major parameter- Safety and GNCAP ratings

1. Both don't have one 3xo is not tested, we are speaking solely on XUV 300 GNCAP scores
2. Sonet is based on venue platform. It had scored 4 stars in GNCAP 2018-19.
3. Learn driving, it will make your cars more safe. Have seen people keep legs on steering wheel in the name of ADAS etc.
4. If you want safety first, buy an army tank. You don't deserve cars to be safe

@@venkateshanantharaman6773 All Hyundai and Kia cars sold in india (except the imported ones like Tucson and Carnival) have a maximum of 3 stars. Hyundai and Kia stink on safety.
I am sorry to say that this comparison is a bit biased in favor of Sonet..... XUV3XO is a much better vehicle in every aspect apart from fit & finish....

I too felt that way. Sonet feels like belonging to segment of Punch as in pursuit of giving humongous boot space it compromises on inner seating space. I think apart from Bose sound system and ventilated seats all other features of XUV 3XO are better and carry a feel good factor.
Plus he forgot to mention how VFM XUV 3XO's AX5 and AX5L variants are compared to GTX plus, X line variants of Sonet.
@@AmitGupta-ki6gbSonet has internationally existed way before punch and Mahindra existed. Punch doesn't offer you a turbo engine neither does it offer any AT, DCT variants.
What most of you are missing on is aftersales and long term ownership experience, no doubt 3xo is a great car but practically you don't buy a car to drive 5000 kms only.
@@venkateshanantharaman6773 bro Mahindra is now not just competing these brands in India but many other countries as well. My friends have XUV500 which is like 5 to 6 years old and faces no after sales service issues with Mahindra.
Plus the rural presence of Mahindra is far better than even Hyundai or Kia. Within next 5 to 10 years Mahindra and Tata will not just compete but excel when EVs will come into picture.
With regards to Punch if you see Sonet and Venue sales majorly attributes to NA 1.2l engine and not the Diesel or turbo petrol Just as Fronx. No matter what people stick to but buyers of Nexon and XUV 3XO are increasing day by day.
which gear did you opt for in the 3xo? was it manual or automatic? and if it was automatic was it dct?
I would go for XUV 300 because of better performance and drive feel. We purchase car to drive and every time we drive it should put smile on our face
Bring a comparison between lower variants of Sonet Htk+ and XUV 3xO Ax5.
As it will help middle class buyers. These variants have almost all practical features and it clicks all check boxes.
I think you will surely bring this most awaited comparison.
Sonet with ventilated seats is a boon in summers. Paddle shifters makes.overtaking easy on highways which is missing on XUV 3XO. ADAS as a feature is still evolving with Indian roads and traffic maturing so would not rush to rate. Sunroofs in general are good only for pleasant weather which is a rarity in North India. Drive responsibly and you don't need a tank like build structure with extra weight.
I am confused between sonet htk o & MX1 of mahindra 3xo i will choose which is having better mileage
When it comes to build quality which is one of the crucial factors, 3X0 is one step ahead!
not just one step, many steps ahead. Plus XUV 3XO got a adaptive suspension. It remains soft at slow speeds but as you cross 80 KMPH it starts stiffening up giving good drivability.
I think the AX5 and AX5L variant of XUV 3XO is much better compared to Sonet's HTK and HTX variant. that variant of XUV 3XO offers better features in affordable package but when it comes to AX7 and AX7L variants of XUV 3XO then Sonet's GTX plus and X Line are better value for money.
If you need a proper diesel automatic then Sonet remains your only choice as no other company offers a proper diesel automatic.
My pick XUV 3XO AX5L for its over all package.
Mostly talked about in India now, Safety of the car. Missed it.
Also there should be some proof shown for these tests just for the transparency of the test.
You should always do a comparison on the most VFM variant of each car not just the top models. Almost nobody buys the top variants at this price range.

Both are extremely close on mileage. XUV3XO has more space for 4/5 people.

Why compare only the AX7 L AT against the Sonet X line. You can compare AX5 L AT against the Sonet X line and the AX5 will win on the all the points that AX7 wins on and it will win on the price front also.
That's what I was thinking too. This December I am going to buy AX5L petrol automatic variant of XUV 3XO.

I would obviously go for the Xuv 3xo because of its premium looks better drivability, space, and last but not least safety xuv 3xo is a 5 stars rated car whereas Sonet able to grab 3 stars
Xuv is heavier yet delivers the same mileage in the city.
While feature wise and price wise, sonet is more VFM.
What about refinement and NVH?
I think in those fronts Sonet would be a better pick.

@CarWale : Suggest when doing binary comparison like this, it's good to take 2 models of the same price point like a real person buying budget of 10L or 15L ex-showroom, compare the variants in the same price band within a max. 25K difference and compare what they offer against each other and better value proposition. 1L is a huge gap to compare.
Another way is you can do base model and top model comparison instead of just doing the top spec as majority will not buy top spec usually. Base and mid variants sell more.

Diesel for sure Sonet is a better pick. Also its the only car with a proper automatic in Diesel.

@CarWale it's surprising that a responsible brand like you doesn't include SAFTY in its comparison. 3XO is a 5 star rated and KIA doesn't even dare to send cars for testing now
Most of the people who think 3xo is better, they compare solely on the NCAP rating... They deserve military vehicle

Pricing comparison should be for base models and not top models!
Why not also bring in a comparison of lower variants which will help middle class buyers. HTK plus of KIA and AX5 of 3XO. AX5 feels far more spacious and comfortable. Also the adjustable back headrest in Mahindra gives it a much better comfort than the fixed headrests of Sonet. Overall KIA is more affordable and gives almost all the features. Look wise also KIA is great but does feel a little underpower. 3 people sitting at the back of Mahindra will feel more comfortable than 3 at back of Sonet.
I think platform wise - Sonet is basically i10 spruced up. 3XO is a spruced up Sangyong platform. Where sonet would really score high is with diesel auto box combo.. same combo comes is Alcazar and Creta. With low weight it’s an absolute banger. Mahindra’s diesel with AMT may not be as sorted as Sonet diesel with autobox. But the bottom line is safety ..Mahindra rules this area For sure.
Dude sonet is not i10 platform. Exter is i10 platform .please do your research and stop commenting like a chapri. Sonet has existed in various forms in the international market: stonic was the first sonet that came into play in international markets.
Please do your research. Yes 3xo is a great car no doubt but go visit a Kia showroom and Mahindra showroom and even service centres for that matter. 2 min me sach pata chal jayega

@@mayurnayudu3376 k1 and k2 platforms are different sir. K1 is for A segment K2 is for B and C segment..K2 is used in i20, venue, creta alcazar etc. it's a very tried and tested platform
Sonet is based on the K2 platform. You can't equate i10 and sonet just because K is common in them 😂😂

You haven't taken into account one of the most important factor : Safety...... Sonet doesn't stand a chance.....
Sonet has not been tested in GNCAP. It's based on Venue platform which had scored 4 star in NCAP. It's not right to say sonet has no safety. 3xo is more safer for sure if it scores 5 stars.
Sir 3xo seat is more comfortable than sonet 💯😊😊
I liked the sonet on the outside and the quality is also good inside...but when I took it for a test drive I found the space inside a little less dont know why..

how you did milage test
We drive 80kms in the city and 80kms on the highway. Both are predefined routes that we use for every car that we test for mileage. The test is done by the same driver and we make sure that the traffic density is similar, too.

Hyundai and Kia started marking cars together in early 2000s. In Malaysia Hyundai cars are to be considered more reliable than Kia and maintenance is high for Kia after 1 lakh KMs. I don't know reliability of Mahindra vehicles.

Bought the Sonet, never regretted about not getting 3XO, the ADAS of the car was so noisy it made me hate the car though it had a few good, Really good perks up its sleeve. And the 3XO looked super ugly. I really don't care about safety though. Its overrated, gains are marginal. And most of them yapping about Sonet, has never driven one. Kudos to those who did drive both, but half the people did not get a feel of the car

What is with Mahindra aftersales. I am confused between these two and in favot for 3XO, majorly because of more packed features. But Sonet is a safer bet. Mahindra has not been successful in this segment.
@@wreckball2315 Yes, XUV 3xo is essentially rebadged and upgraded xuv300. But Mahindra is ultra poor in managing sales and after sales.
Also, the reason they are in rush to make sales is because of the potential diesel ban. They have heavily invested in diesels, so they just want to sell sell in the next 4 years but they will botch up in deliveries with 6 months to 2 years waiting period atleast.
