I could be wrong, but it feels like every location in this film has an elemental theme. The opening chase in the desert was Fire, Osaka was Wind, Killa's Club was Water, and Paris was Earth.
This scene starting from 1:47 gave me goosebumps when i watched this in the cinema back in 2023. Man, such an epic and beautiful action-scene. John wakes up and looks around, enemies running towards him, soundtrack builds up, and theeen.... FIGHT.
My favorite bit that brings home the entire theme of 4, John is stuck in an inescapable cycle of violence and all he can do is fight his way out. The way the fall mirrors the fall in the Red Circle from the first film. Time after time he's sought revenge but he's back where he started. Beautiful example of action as story, this scene made me cry watching it in theatres. John Wick 1 & 4 are perfect films.
@@thomasanderson2384 If we don’t know what he was like in his prime then why are you assuming he’d stand a chance against Reacher if he was younger? We have to base our opinions off what we see.
I get goose bumps from this scene. The way the guard falls down the stairs, crowd clears, Killa is in the open, music ramps up, John Wick looks on. Just feels like a boss fight.
Genuinely one of the most excellent action scenes ever made in one of the most excellent action movies ever made. I don't think any movie will ever blow me away in the way John Wick 4 did.
2:51 it's the details that make this so amazing lol look how he intentionally doesn5 swing with his left arm but keeps it tucked and uses the momentum of the first miss to spin his entire body around 360 degrees and using that as a wind up to then swing the same left arm into a massive strike. Just a chefs kiss on every detail in this movie
@@james87367I really need to get a home theater set up going. My dad used to have rumblers in our couches when I was a kid 😂. I’d probably get launched off my couch in this scene
This is my favorite scene. Reminded me of the Blade club scene. The music is cool and a great match for the quick and hard hitting style of John Wick fights.

In the world of John Wick: never pay attention to assassins fighting. Not in nightclubs in New York, subways in New York, concerts in Rome, or discotechs in Berlin.
This right here proves why JW4 was more superior to MI7. John Wick movies always allowed us to explore a location, something that Mission Impossible lacks.
Killa is that big Russian guy you think Is an ok guy, but the more you get to know him you realize he aggressively coming after you in some kind of way and eventually shows his hand... I encountered a big Russian dude just like this in the city once.
the crowd not freaking out RUINS IT. Then again i get how the director wanted to focus on a more aesthetic view on screen. its KINDA LIKE A FIGHTING GAME LOL nice touch
Wow! I've never seen how Killa learned how to fight in hand-to-hand combat with John. He is an overweight, and he is stronger than anybody. Even though, he has an asthma for his lungs apparently. That guy is a crime boss.
I could be wrong, but it feels like every location in this film has an elemental theme. The opening chase in the desert was Fire, Osaka was Wind, Killa's Club was Water, and Paris was Earth.
Great observation
Damn Straight
Scott Adkins channeling his inner Sammo Hung.
I didn't think of it before, but Killa does resemble Wong Po from Kill Zone (2005), right down to the purple suit!
Sammo is a legend.
Sammo is not that fat and he is better
Wow I didn't recognize Scott in this scene ! I was wondering how this Fat guy is so good in Fighting ?
First Colin Farrell as Penguin and then this it's quite a interesting movie trend starting

Ay yes, "back in 2023". Such a long time ago. I remember it like it was only last year.
This was an amazing fight scene. Killa being an overweight guy going toe-to-toe with John Wick was amazing.
John has always struggled against bigger guys, that’s why I think he wouldn’t stand a chance against someone like Jack Reacher.

My favourite scene in the entire franchise.
Killa feels like a final boss to me. Incredible fight!
