That Chanel quad caught m eye, too! I DO have the ultra suede brown kit, too! I wouldn’t have thought to use the Sith Seduction shade to make Mercury more smoky, but that was genius! When you layered the liquid shadow over Mercury😍 I honestly love the look you did more than the looks I’ve seen with the Chanel quad!!! I’m not even kidding! I do think it turned out a little more green, but that’s part of why I love it!!! I have all the products you used except the VB signature brick, but the neutral/cool crease shade is the easiest part of the look to dupe! This has shown me that I just need to work with what I have because so have so many beautiful shadows! It’s all about the layering!
Totally!! Sometimes we can take inspiration from a new release and create something even prettier and more to our liking in the process of duping it. I also liked this more than the looks I have seen with the actual quad.
Chanel eyeshadows frequently disappoint. The exception for me is a long discontinued pink eyeshadow pot that I’ve now replaced in my repertoire with lilac liason from Pat. I recommend you have your makeup done by Chanel (if that’s done in the Netherlands) before buying and see what you think. The baked shadows in particular are hit or miss. I have and like the all gray palette but it’s very gently pigmented. I have another limited edition one that’s basically invisible on me and I’m pretty pale (Pat shade L2). Chanel has lovely makeup such as eye liners and I used to collect their nail polishes. But the eyeshadows generally aren’t it.
They really were too thin - very disappointed with a les beiges natural palette, then tried a byzance quad that was delicious. Now i am hooked. Same goes for their blushes. Equinox was very special. They recently made some magic happen..
My friend…I am getting both the collections…I am on a no buy except Chanel. I have been a Chanel person for over 30 years. A bit upset that RUclipsrs are making it hard to get my things…luckily I have my Chanel lady that I have known for over 15 years…and she facilitates my purchases. The Les Nuits collection is not yet available in the US Chanel website. Apparently it is available in the boutiques but I called two local ones and they claimed they did not have it. My Handel lady in Florida said she is getting it…and she will get it for me. So yes, my Chanel collection is quite extensive…you would go crazy playing with it. So I will get it…and I will be in love. Especially because the Chanel shadows have been getting so amazing

I am skipping the Chanel pink/ purple eyeshadows but today I received the purple energy lip and cheek balm which I absolutely love as a lipstick. It’s very cool. I also received the Mauve Glacé blush.. it’s very nice… it goes well with the purple lip and cheek. I am now on a no buy. Im happy with everything I have now..❤
You’re right: this quad is going to be sold at retailers, so I’m waiting for a discount to pick it up. But it will definitely be added to my collection since it’s my perfect office palette with a glam twist ❤

I scoured my eyeshadow collection twice for dupes of that gorgeous mossy-taupy-platinum shade to avoid buying the quad. I do not need more eyeshadow. Wings from ABH is another dupe, but I found in my collection the COlourpop 'The Child' has a sparklier version of that that looks amazing on the eyes. The eyeshadow 'Ancient Coin' from Clionadh (12 days of xmas collection) is a close dupe and in my opinion a very sparkly and foiled option :)
I am sure colour dupes exist, this is a very good suggestion list. For me it is the combination of the colour and the texture that I find very hard to dupe.

I am all for shopping one's stash to dupe a look and yours is superb 😊. BTW re 25% off at Douglas - we get frequent Douglas sales too, but 'only' 20%. You did use the Cosmic Chartreuse. 😜 It really is like a great neutral. Usually, I pair it with ND yucca palette. In fact the ‘Elysian’ (BTW who gets paid for these shade names for ND!!!!) shade in Yucca palette is close dupe for the Chanel green/pewter shade. Really like your look 🥰 Great eye look in the end. ❤
I have no interest in the blushes, they are very light on the cheeks and similar to other luxury blushes which I have and have always been disappointed by. I purchased the quad, shame on me, my first eyeshadow purchase for 2024. It is beautiful and I am not even into cool tones. I love it. I know how you are feeling with your temptation. For me if I am really tempted I eventually purchase it as nothing else that I have or can buy at a cheaper price compares. Even if you have Dior’s soft cashmere or ND glam palette or even the PM shadows this new Chanel quad looks different on the eye. So elegant and effortless. Even though one of the brown colours is very light and another is a black (a very smooth, nice and blendable one) the palette is worth it for me. Hugs
Hi Mariam, i loved the idea since those blushes resemble the winter collection so well therefore i tried to show them side by side on my channel (badly so but i'll add shorts in daylight) - besides individuality, brush..the obvious factors, i think it is skippable if you own comparable colors such as these

The Chanel quad is quite beautiful, so I hope you can report back on the swatches. For the record, the Dior fail is because all 5 shadows colors are so subdued that they’re indistinguishable on my skintone.🥹 I could’ve duped the quint but I got overly excited because I only own one other Dior quint. And I want you to know how much I appreciate seeing you so often!

Evening Mariam Regardless of duping the look - what you have created on your eyes looks fabulous! I have the Chanel quad and the lightest shade of the 3 blushers......my feelings if I can try and describe the essence of the eyeshadows are similar to Lisa Eldridge luxuriantly lucent lipsticks versus a normal lipstick- the colour is vibrant but not saturated - almost watercolour like if that makes any sense? I have only used the blusher once and I'm not sure about the formula - it feels like it has hard pan? If you have an opportunity to swatch and feel and texture I would- although where Chanel is concerned I tend to be impulsive. What joy makeup gives us.

I have never tried Chanel shadows, swatching in store they seem to be for sure on the softer side. I would be curious to see this quad in real life.

I purchased that WG brush a few years ago and I have the same opinion as you. I threw it away. I should have saved it for other uses as you suggested.
Haha oh gosh I only throw away brushes when they are 10y old and super scratchy. Otherwise I keep them "just in case" or I pass them on to someone.
