I’m breathing just to pass the time • I forgot to eat
tonight • just running down the clock today • with hope
the ache will go away
body starts to shake • head begins to spin
leaves me in its wake • i’m paralyzed with pain
we suffer in a heartmachine • unstable • feeling everything
pins and needles stitching up my skin • we suffer trapped in
a heartmachine
Hope is strange, Sometimes it leads you on • there’s no exception
when you’re halfway gone • a second chance flash of light that
brought me to my knees • a burning vision etched in memories
body starts to shake • head begins to spin
leaves me in its wake • i’m paralyzed with pain
we suffer in a heartmachine • unstable • feeling everything
pins and needles stitching up my skin • we suffer trapped in
a heartmachine
time heals the wounds • it builds up strength inside
facing the truth, there’s nothing left to hide
we suffer • unstable • pins and needles
we suffer trapped in a heartmachine
i think the saddest part of this whole vocalist debate is the fact that so little respect and attention is payed to the other band members like yea Adrian's screams drove me crazy back in the day but the fucking riffs and drums is what gets my head banging back and forth and that shit sounds just as good as it ever did. it's what truly separates them from other bands
you can't be serious? Instrumentally this is Northlane's "safest" album. I'm five songs in and I have yet to hear something fresh.
Man the drummer is really a heartmachine
+CassetteMelody eh i disagree
This is by far the biggest banger on the album.
PAPAPAPAPA POWER
Cleans doesn't mean it's a bad thing. I feel like people forget that. It can still be heavy without screams. Northlane have heaps of songs where there's plenty of screams. I like that they're mixing it up a bit. Coming from someone who LOVES harsh vocals, I could listen to Marcus singing all day though. Great voice.
You must have not listened to discoveries or singularity
This is good for the soul, man.
That "Body starts to shake, head begins to spin..." part is fucking stellar. First time it comes around it makes you feel a certain way and then afterwards they hit you with that even more melodic version of it and you're left flabbergasted.
This song... So many feels..
I love it. Coming from a massive Adrian fan, Marcus is just killing this style. He's not trying to replicate what Adrian did.. purely making it his own and doing so fucking well. Sounds great all around boys. Good shit :)
that took an unexpected turn...
took a well respectable turn. I agree completely, AnasisNZ!
AnasisNZ First comparison I have respected. A positive look on the comparison. I'll leave it at this comment and quit the scrolling for this album. I was only curious. I like this album. The haters are stuck.
AnasisNZ finally someone with an open mind... too many people expect bands to sound the exact same after a major lineup change. I just dig Northlane through and through, Adrian or Marcus.
good shit with this comment
this song perfectly encapsulates what it's like living with chronic pain. Thank you.
This album is touch much for me to handle. They dropped it out of nowhere and every song is incredible!
Really good song
Michael Lawler Hey you release an album right now please 😂
I swear this is my all time favorite of Northlane. That chorus just hits you in that one spot.
Beautiful cleans
you again lol
:)
Oh not you again Dwesk.
let's not fight on such a joyous occasion :)
Right
This album is amazing... the song hit me in the feels. They've perfected their sound as a band
this album is awesome so different than previous stuff and the metal scene in general
Colton Toth this album is a fucking masterpiece in my opinion
Hello Northlane my old friend, I've come to give you my money again.
Damn this song is so perfect. The melodies. The lyrics. Everything !
Heartmachine, Zero-One and Solar are some of the best songs I've ever heard.
now that I've heard the whole thing twice i must say this album is great. haters gonna hate but im proud of Northlane well done guys!!!!
It has been covered...
What?
@@Roland_Duson Do you know now?
@@ThatsAGoodB0y What?
@@Roland_Duson listen nik nocturnal is a big youtuber who does covers. He said it has been covered bc he did a guitar cover of this song. Go check out his stuff if you dont know him.
I'm completely fine at work and this song is pulling emotions out of me I haven't felt in a long time. This band is amazing.
I really think this was one of the best albums of 2017
Let's just stop for a minute thinking about coronavirus and appreciate how beautiful this song is.
ye. great song. great band.
Regardless.
i'm obsessed w this new album guys
Rutherford's Wife me too, I'm literally laying brick and stone every day at work and jamming this album non stop
Since I bought the album a week ago it’s all I can listen to
the best song off this album
I didn't care for this album at first but now I can't get enough. Amazing song and lyrics!!!
they say stay in your northlane, northlane, but we drop albums when we want to
they're fairly northlane though
Hahaha I love you
piece of shit haha! |-/
OMG! l-/
Can we keep metal as metal and you go back to your emo pop/rap please?
good shit guys
I like Northlane. This is another good album from Northlane. They've been lucky to have two fantastic vocalists. THANKS BOYS
At first I hated this album. Now I adore it
cannot stop playing this song
Masterpiece
I love this Song Northlane is my second favorite non Christian metalcore band.
great both musically and lyrically wise.. the feels man, the feels.. Our humankind is asleep to its own reality
Favorite on the album 😁 Node didn't intrigue me much but this album has redeemed the band. Also: They really need to make a Mv for this song
this song makes me think of collective soul
I get a huge sevendust vibe with this
O MY F* God
this album is there 2nd best imo singularity took the cake..... I am digging the hell out of this though
love it
Top class, lads!
This sounds like a cross between Periphery and Tesseract with a hint of pop.
It's official, 24 march is now a blessed day !
This is so good :-)
Northlane is a shit without Adrian, keep saying that... this is a masterpiece.
i love this break 00:00
Marcus Boyd
Damn, this is good!!
Pretty good. Competes with Memphis Mayfire. (Vocally in ways) but nice instruments. And great lyrics.
Northlane have destroyed Memphis May Fire since their inception. Although Sleepwalking is a good album, the rest is generic scenecore trash.
Dwėsk this is garbage. The guy is too whiney. where's the meaning. what food is words if there is no meaning behind them?
aaaaaaaaand we're done here. Good talk. Enjoy MMF's new album.
Dwėsk m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=983809761754502&id=100003764630456
really comparing MMF and Northlane? what the actual fuck is going through your head?
Fucking amazing
Fucking hell guys
*clean vocals everywhere* "THIS IS SUCH A BANGER, SO MUCH GROOVE & HEAVINESS"
Lmao where
Brandon Fullem cleans can have groove, dunno about heaviness. Let people enjoy stuff tho
the bass lines in this song are groovy, the guitars are going all over the place in rhythm man its great
Sounds a bit like periphery
Discoveries > Singularity > Node > Mesmer
Let me fix this: Singularity > Discoveries > Mesmer > Node
Let me fix this one time for all: Nobody > Gives > A Shit
we got a badass over here
well in my opinion Singularity > Node > Mesmer > Discoveries
Pineapple Express nah - Discoveries > Singularity || different mood, out comes the new albums, because I love both Adrian and Marcus, just depends on what I'm feeling, then it's Mesmer > Node (but just barely)
Why do you progress to the 7th chord in EVERY SONG. Would like this album way more without the repetitive progressions
this just isn't as good as the first 2 albums, much less real energy in my opinion and the screams are not listenable. i listen to you since the first album and you just changed my life but this now is not the message you told me...
Dennis Asanov I agree! Some cleans from Marcus are nice, I liked them in Rot, and some of his screams are okay but generally far less powerful and passionate than Adrian's. instrumentally Discoveries is still superior
instrumentally this is by far the worst
