This is so much fun, I'd love to do more of these, thanks Kelli and Audrey for doing this for us, it was amazing, even though in our house move I'd put things carefully so I'd remember where they were, I couldn't find them, so on my scrap piece of paper and non waterproof pen, it looked amazing, and when I find my drawing tools I get to do it all again, thanks again to both of you. 😁

Hi Kelli, finally! I get to see you on video. I'm watching your watercolour series. Please say thank you to Audrey for me. BTW I'm writing to you from South Africa. We don't get this kind of craft instruction here, so I thank God for people like you and Audrey who don't mind sharing your talent with others. I'm kind of new to "Zentangle", I say new because I didn't know it has a name. I've always 'Doodled" on the edges of all my note books from High School to University but I didn't know it had a name and that others did it too... I love how relaxing it is, I love it. Lately, last week in fact I stumbled into your Zentangle Flower Garden series and decided to follow your videos from 1 to 24 and I LOVED IT!!! What a gift you are to people like me who love art, handcrafts, needlework and more. I didn't have the little tiles, of course, so I just used strips of sketch paper 10.5 X 10.5 cm and just followed your instructions and now I have tuned my Zentangle Flower Garden into a little booklet that is so amazingly beautiful and unique. Now I look for all your videos and am learning lots of new techniques from you, it's like I have known you for years. Please receive a great big HUG from me full of gratitude, love and joy that only comes from sharing of our gifts with others. Stay creative, happy and keep teaching us. Love to the moon and back. I was afraid to use the black pen, but mine turned out okay.
I am not familiar with the eraser you used. Mine did not remove my pencil lines, and it pulled some paper with it when I used the Gum eraser!
All in all, I loved the lesson so much!

Fun video! Thank you. Quick question though... I have been drawing things similar to these elements for literally decades, how can someone lay claim to such an elemental shape combo? No criticism or ill will intended, just a curiosity. Is it a claim to the lines or just the method/order of line assembly?
Hi! Great question! None of these are "original". They are all lines and elements that already exist and people all over the world are "deconstructing" them to make them easy to draw step by step. Some are very simple and many are more complicated forms found in old architecture, fabrics, pottery, etc. They name them and put them out there for the world to enjoy. None of them are copyrighted or anything like that.

I love it but I don't understand how it's considered zentangle. It looks like a beautiful drawing to me. I guess I do not know the difference.
Very good point! In May I recorded 23 videos using only botanical tangles. At the end of the 23 days, I did this "extra" project where we took several of the May tangles and drew them large enough to paint in. It is considered "ZIA" which means "Zentangle Inspired Art." It was just a fun bonus for everyone that enjoyed the May floral patterns.
