youtube recommended me Coordinate Shift a few hours after it dropped and i liked the lyrics, so i felt like covering it (in maybe a bit of a tonally challenging way but i had fun)

How was the bass made? It's really good!
it's all serum, and there are two layers; a low saw wave + an octave up detuned saw wave + some noise into serum's distortion, lowpass filter, and multiband compressor in that order (there is also a very fast envelope controlling the pitch to give it that plucky attack + a ~200ms portamento speed with legato so i can do pitch bending stuff in the piano roll)
then the second layer is roughly the same setup but an octave up, with a bandpass filter instead, and fed into valhalla supermassive
