I love these gorgeous and serene motorcycle adventure videos. Kofa National Wildlife Refuge is definitely on my moto camping bucket list. I crave that natural solitude.
Thanks!. I've always felt that motorcycling is an exercise in responsibility to yourself.. It brings discovery and a weird self-discipline. Haven't set off to go camping yet, but I've got all the tooling...😂 Thanks 4 inspiration
Greetings from Scotland. We have fantastic scenery in Scotland, but no Desert. Beautiful light, panoramic vistas and the solitude. Presented with filming skill by yourself Sterling, thank you for a glimpse into paradise.❤
Great video, I wonder if you have a video discussing your thoughts and tips about safety regarding snakes, or other animals or insects in this region. Really enjoyed this content.
A year ago I spent a few days driving my Gladiator around KOFA, and was absolutely amazed at the scenery and lack of other vehicles! Since then, several of my favorite RUclipsrs (Jeeps and bikes) have visited the region as well. Apparently, the word is out! Hopefully that doesn’t translate into a huge increase of visitors, as I really like the desolation that it currently provides. Thanks for posting, and keep on heading into the mountains - it just gets better!
Man your Channel is Awesome ... You're livin The Dream!! I really appreciate all the hard work that you're putting into making these videos ... They're so well done they're Absolutely Brilliant so Professional you're a Legend Brother!! 👊
You do produce very interesting videos, made kinda personal because my last bike was identical to your bike. I’ve watched most of your videos, really enjoy the experience you bring into my home. Keep up the great work, thanks again for sharing. 👌👌👏👏. Has your motorbike been reliable from new 🤔.
Thanks! The bike has been great other than a drive shaft failure at around 40,000 miles which was replaced under an extended warranty - and then again during a recall.
Recently watched most of your riding videos and loved them all , especially your cooking style on the trips while camping ,a request please dont edit or cut the cooking part in your videos, love the way you cook ,its just like icing on the cake after a hard day ride ,keep munching more mile ahead Sterling 😎.
Right when I was feeling blah about my motorcycle and now you’ve once again inspired me with your desert adventure. Hope to see more soon. Hope the injury is healing up well.
This was my first solo offroad adventure, went in on the west road & made it in about 20 miles. Camped up past the Kofa king of arizona site on Christmas Day '22. Had my first wreck on the loose gravel about a mile in :) Great area, love Kofa. Some hunters woke me up prior to daylight the next day, a little odd seeing guys with rifles walking my way with the brights of their truck in the background. But they were just maintaining a tradition.
So happy Sterling of your sharing these incredible rides to Gods beautiful awe inspiring gift of our mother nature...Your the best in the business with your trusty Gs and camera work to share your passion for riding and adventurous spirit...When Im loaded up and ready to ride, Im always thinking where would Sterling go!! Thanks for all the years of hard work and dedication!
Stirling Like I told you, these Solo camping adventures are my favorite. Especially the Van camping. There's nothing like being truly alone! It's exhilarating and tranquil all at the same time. Thank you for this wonderful video! Ride SAFE and BE safe Sir! 👍👍
How cool, I was just there Wed-Fri of this week..solo truck camped with a xt225 trail bike-put 150miles on the bike and just missed the weather Easter weekend, it's a stunning place 👍
That's really special in countries like the US: That you're out in the wilderness pretty soon. Much easier than in densely populated central Europe. Happy days, Günter/Nürnberg
I'm new to the adv bike community and have seen all your recent videos. I'm in so cal and will exploring AZ soon before the Temps get too high. Keep them coming.
I would have liked to see more of the Kofa. There is so much to see there. Then again, maybe by showing so little, it will help to keep it a less used area.
I am new to the channel and have been playing catch-up with all your previous episodes. Really enjoying them. One general question-I see you have opted for hard panniers over the soft varieties. I would like to hear your perspective as I think you bring a wealth of experience to the conversation.
I like them both. I prefer the hard pad ears for really long distance, pavement trips, and the soft bags for when I go more off-road and I’m likely to tip over.
I love that part of Arizona. I was just out there on my 500 did four nights. Quick question, what Mic system are you using in your helmet with your action 4????? ✌️
The last time I started watching a moto-camping video of yours, it sent me down a long 50 episode spiral of your trip to Canada. Now I just finished this 10 minute episode 1 of 1, and don't know what to do with the rest of my day.
Many over the years but that's relative. Not so many that it has been any kind of a major problem but I definitely am prepared for that to happen because it does occasionally.
Loved the adventure! Just a Q re lowering TP - don't you run the risk of puncturing your tubes against your rims (snakebites) when hitting hard objects, or ... 1) Are you running tubeless? 2) Do the benefits of a softer ride outweigh the risk of a puncture?
I dot even notice anymore. Never had a big windshield. Also, a big windshield is a liability when riding off-road as you are more likely to hit it with your face/head when things get rough.
Having a hard time wrapping my pea brain around the fact that BMW hasn’t provided Sterling with a new bike after all he’s done for the brand. Almost all of his motorcycles have been Beemers pretty much since the dawn of time itself. 😯
Back on the Beamer!
This footage was filmed Feb. 2023 (in description notes), before his accident in Oct. 2023.
That’s my back yard. I’m in Yuma and explore KofA often. 3:35 I worked at that location for 8 years, “Castle Dome Heliport” (officially)
I love these gorgeous and serene motorcycle adventure videos. Kofa National Wildlife Refuge is definitely on my moto camping bucket list. I crave that natural solitude.
Ahhh desert camping. Love your vids!
Nice. That sort of solitude is priceless.
always a good time watching your films, thanks for discovering these desert regions.

Good eats, cheers.
Yea I was just there in January while saying at Quartzfest. I rode my Beta 300 and CRF250L a lot out there that week.
Greetings from Scotland.
We have fantastic scenery in Scotland, but no Desert.

Another great video - love the countryside!

Nice asado in the center of nowhere. Thanks Sterling and Happy Easter

Man, that shot of you cooking dinner at your camp spot with the mountains in the background is absolutely beautiful! killer video as usual.

Thank you for another great travel video. Keep bringing them up. Your talent and scenery are amazing.
I really enjoy your video.. I even bought the same bike as yours.. Smiling and clocking 115k km on the odo meter... Keep the video coming
Great 👍
First comment! Always wanted to do this for some reason. :)
It sure is nice to get out of the city and get back into nature. I think we all need that from time to time.
I know I do.
Another inspirational video that makes me feel blessed to live in the desert. Thanks, Sterling!
Excellent travelogue- love the emphasis on eating good food in inhospitable places.
Thank you for sharing, truly enjoy your video's and I learn something new every time. The bacon looked amazing.
Nice vid again, you ´re an inspiration. Thanx Sterl!
Awesome video!
We’ll see you both in about one week!!😊

Greetings from the Quartzsite/Dual Sport ADV Riders. We ride that area often. I love wintering in the Arizona Outback.
Very cool!
Good one Sterling. I worked that area many years back. Interesting area. Watch where you tread. Good vid.
Great spot.
I swear I could smell that bacon through my ipad !

Ha ha! Thanks!
Hey, great channel! How big are your Touratech Zega Cases? 31Liter oder bigger? thx
Hey Sterling, on your offroad excursions have you had many flat tires?
Many over the years but that's relative. Not so many that it has been any kind of a major problem but I definitely am prepared for that to happen because it does occasionally.
Loved the adventure!
Just a Q re lowering TP - don't you run the risk of puncturing your tubes against your rims (snakebites) when hitting hard objects, or ...
1) Are you running tubeless?
2) Do the benefits of a softer ride outweigh the risk of a puncture?
Yes you run the risk of puncturing tubes if you go too soft. I am running tubeless tires. I like to find a happy medium.
Which navigation systems/devices do you use
Garmin Zumo XT, Gaia GPS, Google Maps, Trails Offroad, On-X
How do you manage with the small windshield
I dot even notice anymore. Never had a big windshield. Also, a big windshield is a liability when riding off-road as you are more likely to hit it with your face/head when things get rough.
I appreciate your feedback
Are you still enjoying your Osmo Action 4 action cam?
Yes, new video coming soon about it
How do you find these places?
Research and exploration :-)
Having a hard time wrapping my pea brain around the fact that BMW hasn’t provided Sterling with a new bike after all he’s done for the brand. Almost all of his motorcycles have been Beemers pretty much since the dawn of time itself. 😯
