So true... I just can't take computer animated movies anymore. They look all identical... Plus, the stories that Disney is making lately are so boring... I'm a very sensitive person, yet I never shed a tear when I watch these new movies. When I watch Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas and Mulan, I can't stop crying. They are so perfect, and the meanings they have remain deep inside your heart.
As I listen to this, I am thinking of a romantic interest who is a friend of mine. She knows my feelings for her, and I am just waiting for a response. She has not said “yes” but has not said “no” either. She is indeed a *beauty!* 😍
Alan Menken, I've loved so many scores that you have done but this was you at your best. The score is so beautiful, it still makes me teary-eyed. If I ever meet you in person, I will say these words to you, "Thank you for making my childhood magical and beautiful."

I don't know why comparing Frozen to Beauty and the Beast. One has nothing to do with another. I liked Frozen, it's ok, but I love Beauty and Beast. Nothing made today will be like the old Disney. And the music by Alan Menken (not the lyrics, but I like them, too) in that time was wonderful. Listen to this... It's beautiful. And before someone asks, I watched Tangled, Frozen, Wreck-It Ralph, The Princess and the Frog and all Pixar movies. I love Toy Story (the 3 movies), and Monsters Inc, but don't like sooo much of the rest. I don't see the magic and charm of old Disney. But, times change.
I love how this and "The Little Mermaid"' both end with a full choir singing a reprise of one of the songs... it really adds a classic Disney flavor to the finales.

I love how well is this scene done in the movie. Incredible animation, mingled with the music creates moment of real magic. Gives me chills every time I watch it. Wonder if they will be able to come even close to this in the real action version.
1:49 "Belle" ("Here's where she meets prince charming...")
2:33 "Prologue" (3:13 - 3:22 is my favorite bit, personally)
4:11 "Beauty and the Beast"
80 years of Disney music and cartoon ... nothing compare to this! NOTHING
This was my Nans favourite disney film. She passed away 1st feb 2018. So this 1 is for you Nan ❤💜💙💛💚👑👻
I’m 33 and this music still gives me goosebumps. Favorite childhood movie.
I love this lullaby on 0:00-1:17 which makes me sleep.
This makes me sad!
Let's make it a funeral!
That music is the song Beauty and the Beast.
My all time favorite Disney movie!!!!
mine too :)
this music always tugs heart strings whenever i listen to it, it's very moving and lovely
Beauty and the Beast > Frozen.
I'd do it ten times over.
Any Disney movie > Frozen > Planes, Cars(all of them)
I agree very much so!
I agree very much so. I'ts the music that really pulls on the feels.
In comparison to B&B and Mermaid, Frozen is just okay.
I always get goosebumps at 2:13, it sounds is magical and uplifting. Alan Menken is a musical genius!
+Dan K 2:13 is magical and uplifting, 2:33 is HOLY CRAP MY SOUL JUST LEFT MY BODY :)
+Solomon Dow Thats my favourite part!
2:33 is my fave part!
0:00-5:50 CHILLS
Rachel Harless yes
As I listen to this, I am thinking of a romantic interest who is a friend of mine. She knows my feelings for her, and I am just waiting for a response. She has not said “yes” but has not said “no” either. She is indeed a *beauty!* 😍
2:33 and 2:56 💖💖💖 still has the best finale song together with the little mermaid and lion king
Alan Menken, I've loved so many scores that you have done but this was you at your best. The score is so beautiful, it still makes me teary-eyed. If I ever meet you in person, I will say these words to you, "Thank you for making my childhood magical and beautiful."
Now celebrating 30 years!
@ still pulls at my heartstrings every time I hear it as it's when Lumiere, Cogsworth and Mrs. Potts watch the final pedal slowly fall as they turn away in sadness knowing it's all too late...
Is this among the most beautiful music ever made? Quite possibly. :)
v torry Howard Ashman deserves credit too. This entire soundtrack is one of the best ever.
"At least I got to see you......one last time".
randomm065 don't talk like you'll be fine... we're together now, everything's going to be alright...
my dad passed away last Monday this was our favorite Disney movie, we use to dance to "Tale as old as time" so I dedicate this song to my dad Richard goodbye Dad we will always have tale as old as time
tara thelen that's so sad! I'm so sorry for your loss
Holly McDaniel i miss him
Chip " Do I still have to sleep in the cupboard"? Lol
I am crying because I watched beauty and the beast in DVD I didn’t Cry in the past now I cried on beauty and the beast. Thank you so much. I searched beauty and the beast instrumental and I found this. Thank you
2:33, man. It gave me chills.
I know!! Just amazing.
+Bekah Teske Really, Wagner's got nothing on this
yeah, but you need to listen first from 1:35 and build that chills !
Yasss ohh😭💕
someon know what is this instrument? (I don't always speak English so I'm sorry if this don't be good grammatic)
I hope this version is used in the new film. It's an emotional but nice music. I can't get the line out if my head, when Prince Adam says, "Belle it's me."
Belle replies, "it is you." Then they kiss
0:00 - 1:00 so deep though .. but the whole track is beautiful
😍😳
Im 35 i still love this movie. Alan Menken is a god with the soundtracks….
GREAT VIDEO LOVE THIS MUSIC....MAKES ME SAD SOMETIMES!!!!!
