    The sound effects are nice.
I'm a technical writer and use the certs just as a learning tool. Not even sure if I will ever need all that knowledge but it increasingly feels like everything is connected and it helps to understand the tech system.

Glad I watched this video. I've been an IT generalist with a focus on Firewalls, 20+ years total and need to pivot. I'm about ready to take the Sec+ exam and have already started studying for the AWS Solutions Architect Associate. Thanks for the video and your insight.

Hi Nick. Thanks for sharing. My aim is well aligned with yours. I have recently bagged the Comptia Sec+ and really want to specialize in cloud and AWS makes perfect sense as it will be more desirable out there. I also have a Bachelors Degree un IT, but I do want to beef up my cybersec skills. Any projects, reources and advice on how I can develop and build these effectively ?

Hey Nick! I am in college learning Cybersecurity for my bachelors. I have my Sec+ and AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals. Right now I'm working in my AWS CCP (cloud practioner). I want to get into security on the cloud, what should be the next step to look good and valuable to employers? Since i have no experience but i want to get into cloud security.

Thank you for the video; it's amazing! I have one question. I am in my last year studying cyber security bachelors. I have CC certified by ISC2. I gained multiple training courses. I aim to take my next step, whether to take ComptSecurity+ or SSCP. In my opinion, I see Compt+ owned by everyone, and I started to feel it's not that hard while I tried the ISC2 exam, and I am sure it's not an easy one, and the SSCP goes more with depth in cybersecurity, but for popularity, the CompTIA Sec+ is more popular, and after 3 years or 4 I aim to gain CISSP. So what do you think is better for me to take SSCP or CompTIA Sec+?

Hi. What do you think is the best certification for Cybersecurity Analyst?

  • @ValentinoBeats-m9w

Hey Nicholas, i have a few questions. So first off im 20 years old and I just dropped out of college because im extremely passionate about cybersecurity and I read a lot that college wasn’t the only route and I hated it anyways. Right now im breezing through the google cybersecurity analyst certificate program and im planning on going for sec+ as soon as im done. For me i feel i definitely want to work on the blue team side of things, do you think its worth getting the BLT1 cert? And what about network+? My goal is to develop a nice portfolio with a ton of project and some decent certs so I can ideally avoid the IT route. Is this realistic and if so, what is the route I should take? Thank you very much.

Hi , I have just three questions here . First one , Are there an entry level jobs for security engineer .
Second question, which is better for beginners in cyber security is to become security engineer or soc analysis .
The last question ، which path will give you faster job security engineer or soc analysis.
    Thank you very much 😊

    • @NicolasMoy
      @NicolasMoy  4 месяца назад +2

      1. Yes, there are entry-level jobs but you will want to look within the specialities (ie. cloud security)
      2. I recommend going for security engineer. Security analyst roles are very competitive and its a saturated market.
      3. Take the path less taken and you'll have faster job security.

    • @NicolasMoy

You don't need prior IT experience to go into cybersecurity. But you need to understand the basics to systems and networking, so you can learn cybersecurity for modern environments. Cloud adoption is very big and will continue to grow over the next 10 years. This is a good place to get started.

It's very possible, it's not impossible at all! Your age doesn't affect you working in cyber security, unless, you're very old and just have a hard time processing things and have a hard time moving etc etc. Sure. But you at 36 is definitely possible!
